Red looks amazing on you girl...especially with all your gorgeous freckles!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I'm setting here watching this video with henna on my roots and eyebrows as we speak! As a natural redhead I love the way henna enhances my natural (yet fading as I get older) ginger hair! Thanks :)
I've been using just LM Red, mixed with chamomile tea. Have you tried the new red colors on their website? Spicy Cinnamon, or Red Amber Spice? Just curious.
Haha! That's awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting! I know your hair and eyebrows are going to look amazing!
I actually have both of those colors but haven't tried them out just yet! I am going to though either on myself or someone else, and will probably show it in a video or post or something!
I use a different henna brand. The stain is good but the shipping is outrageous. I may give this brand a try. I am trying for a red/brown. Been having to use indigo to tone down the orange-y brassy gray areas....your red is gorgeous! I'd love to have it with a bit more brown and no orange grays!
Depending on you current hair color you might like to try Light Mountain's Spicy Cinnamon or Warm Chestnut which are both shades of red-brown. I actually originally talked about these in this video but then edited them out because it made it super long! Lol
Love the way your brows and hair turned out!! I’m watching the while my henna cures for the first time ever!!
That's awesome! Would love to see your results!
Ok, now I really thought I was the ONLY ONE who colored their eyebrows with henna!!! I do this because my eyebrows are thin. This helps to make them look fuller and a bit thicker. Thanks for sharing this video! Now, I know I’m not alone!!😊
I just asked myself, "why not?" People use conventional coloring methods on eyebrows, so why not henna?!
Haha I thought I was the only one till this video!
Redoing my henna hair tomorrow, now I'm thinking eyebrows too so the match better :-) thanks for the awesome video as always!
That's awesome! They will look great I'm sure! Thanks for watching and for your support!
I have dark blonde sparse eyebrows and I've used this brand in medium brown henna. For some reason I could never understand why it never stained my skin and would barely tint my brows like I wanted despite following the instructions. I guess now it makes sense, I'm not curing the dye as much as you are. Following the instructions for the cure time never gave me what you got. So now I'm gonna let it cure for several hours and see how that leaves me. I'll even try a second application. Hoping struggle brows are a thing of my past!
Lauren Schmelzer keep us updated!
It worked? Let the henna cure for several
Hours?
Amazing Job👍
So, you mixed the henna several hours before applying, correct? Like 8 hours. Another henna instruction I saw, they said premix for 8 hrs…but thought was a bit much.
I loved this video! Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Tori.....What do you use as your acid with the henna powder? or was it just dark chocolate? lol sorry to laugh but I never heard of such a thing. I love dark chocolate! What about adding brewed coffee to that warm chestnut henna powder???? thoughts? Another video maybe? :)
Trying it
How did you get the henna off of your brows? Did you use a wet wash cloth?
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN they turned out amazing!!! im a wuss but i think im gonna try this anyway. i just subbed. girl your personality is a red head hehehe. you match it, i think all shades would match you
Thank you for the support!
Why are you so cute? You remind me of the girl from Broad City mixed with Isla Fisher... Are your freckles real or henna? When I henna my eye brows I just put it all over so that it darkens all the tiny, light, barely there, hairs and makes my brows end up looking thicker. It doesn't stain my skin at all for some reason.
Tori...thanks for that. One Question would it cover grey in yebrows??
You are so pretty.
Hi Tori! Did you just use the red henna with coffee on your hair, this time, or did you add the dark chocolate? Also, in all of the other videos, are you just using the “red” color, or have you switched anything? I have been using Light Mountain Red, but your hair looks so much more vibrant than mine does when I do it, and after seeing your roots, I know that you and I are starting with the same virgin color, strangely. I am just curious, because I wasn’t sure if you added any brown, any of the times you have done yours. Does the color just seem to get deeper the more you do it?
Don't try to lift Indigo. You will turn green.
Does this do a decent job of dying the skin also? The problem w my brows is that they are really sparse so I need something that will dye the skin also.... How long do you figure it lasts on skin. Also does all the colors from light mountain have a red hue to them cause of being natural henna?
Love the eyebrows! I'm a newbie with Henna... your videos inspired me to take the plunge, I LOOOVE the color on me!
Quick question- when your roots need dying, do you do just the roots or do you put henna all over your head? Will putting henna all over change the color on my ends?
It depends on how I am feeling, but sometimes I add it all over, and sometimes I just do the roots. Depending on your current color it shouldn't change much on the ends except maybe become more vibrant or richer in color. Henna builds that way. I will do it all over sometimes for the conditioning effect on the ends. I find that my hair is the most soft and shinny and feels so thick after I treat with henna! I am so glad you tried it!
Thank you for the advice! I'm excited for another round of henna on these locks :)
Hi, nice video. But do you have a problem with Rosasea? that is the demodex mites then you can use neem Oil and rosewater and Palm Oil
I am curious as to what kind of shampoo you use to maintain your hair? I have oily hair so I definitely have to wash my hair every two days. I will go three days to let the henna set after my first dye though :)
I used to have super oily hair as well (and sometimes still do, just depending on time of the year and other factors). Since I started using henna my hair has been less oily, and let it go longer between washes. I typically make my own shampoo, but I also occasionally use a simple shampoo bar or liquid from my local health store. I don't have a super strict routine, but one of my goals is to get better with that! Haha I hope you love your henna results - Good luck!
This would be my 1st time using Henna I will leave comments in the bottom to see how it ends up and how I like it.
Looks great! I'm also sitting here watching this video with henna on my roots and eyebrows...trying burgundy on my dark brown hair. Fingers crossed! Do you have any natural teeth whitening ideas? :) Off to search.
I use a paste of baking soda, a splash of water and vinegar, and a couple drops of peppermint oil. Scrub, scrub, scrub, and repeat daily for 3-5 days and then weekly to maintain. I've been slacking on this but when I do it the results are great!
Thanks so much!! Will give this a try!
Hi Emma, how did you burgundy turn out? Was it more purple than red or was is like a rich deep red? Thanks!
I really want to do henna but I've bleached my hair and used semi permanent bright colors like blue and purple. I want to go organic and become a forever henna girl. I've been trying to find out how to make the switch. There isn't really anything out there that I've found yet. I don't want to bleach my hair again. Any ideas?
If you check out my previous henna videos I go through the whole process of henna and give a ton of tips and advice. Go to my channel and click on the Henna Playlist to find the other videos :) I hope these can help you decide about using henna!
My hair is black and very long how many boxes do you recommend me to use? This will be my first time using Henna.
