This was my highlight of the NAMM convention, I didn't know they were going to perform there until I stopped by the Marshall booth. My dropped!
I loved the fact that people started to come in and filled the place very quickly.
I love their musicianship, they are all very talented and the composition is, in my opinion, perfect!

So good! Bass player is certainly enthusiastic. Would've loved this band at any point in the last forty years or so, they are that good.

D Drive has been playing great instrumental music for years now. They're young in age, but mature, sophisticated, exceptionally talented musicians. Great seeing them in this venue. I'm from Texas, too far away to attend NAMM, but have always wanted to see D Drive perform in person. Thanks much for the great video!

I knew D Drive planned to attend NAMM, but was unaware they were performing. Great video by a talented, exciting band.
I expected stellar guitar from Seiji and Yuki, but omg Toshi and Chiiko are rock stars. They are on fire esp Mr RAT Boots - gotta be my fave performance I've seen of this song. And I don't how in the middle of all that Chiiko manages to strike a pose 🤟 29:28 !! Someone has the most awesome pic in their insta;-) Thanks for posting this .. best footage I've seen of their NAMM performance.
YUKI is awesome and Chiiko, the drummer, wow her kit was hardly miked yet she powered through and sounded loud enough
I came here after watching Yuki do a cover of Steve Vai....this band is AWESOME, that drummer was beyond IMPRESSIVE.

@@skoob64 Right on. LOVE Haruka Noma (Hal-Ca) and Asterism. They are awesome, far beyond their age in musical skill and talent. I'm a fan of D Drive, Asterism, Love Bites and Band Maid. To me, as a 70 year old music aficionado from rural Northwest Texas, these great Japanese bands are the best in the world today. Right on!

Came to this video to scope out Yuki, but the drummer, so dynamic, plays with confidence and joy. All four are terrific musicians. The drummer is key. She brings that energy.

Missed going to NAMM. I thought about getting tickets too late. Not sure if NAMM will happen in 2022. Or at least I doubt if Japan will have their population vaccinated before then.

@@Lpmgato1 He is a very good bass player and a great entertainer with his facial gestures and trick fingering. I think he joined the band in 2018.

This is really good music,a bit more enthusiasm from the listeners in video would not go a miss.Its like they are mummy,s in tombed.Dead to the sound of great metal music.
In all fairness, this is not a concert with paid ticket goers. It is a Convention with attendees who have NEVER seen D_Drive. 1st time exposure and seriously checking out this "New" Band. (Altho playing since 2009) Saw them @ NAMM 2013 and Super Impressed. Followed them ever since. Waited every year to see them again @ NAMM. Did Not Disappoint, even with a new Bassist. (Miss you Shimichan)
Whenever I was on stage with any band I made it a point to not keep the audience waiting for us to start playing for longer than 20 seconds. Otherwise we looked unprepared. I know they are not in their element and using someone else's gear but keep the audience waiting that long and noodling on stage always a big no no in my book.

they are talented yes but ...as you watch them seems the only animated person is the bassist the two guitarists for the most part look like robots no connection their facial expressions are off putting if they aren't enjoying it how can i connect and enjoy not throwing shade just saying ..doesnt hurt to have a wall of marshall's and rather expensive guitars
