OUR STORY SO FAR:
We are Cory & Kristen Williams and in August 2014 we made the long drive from Southern California to Alaska to move into our new home in Eagle River. Here we’ve had the chance to explore Alaska, experience lots of wild events, meet lots of great people and endure the extreme temperatures that the north is known for. On December 23rd, 2014 we got engaged after our Polar Plunge under the Northern Lights then later married by our favorite lake on May 23rd, 2015. We’re now expecting our first child, a baby girl, who’s due on June 14th.

Cory, an idea hit me as you were talking about living a person you never met. You should make Chell a private UA-cam account and make videos for her hat she can watch when she's old enough.
The upside of Chell being late is the fact that babies who stay in longer than the 40 week mark are usually healthier overall! The waiting game is so hard though! I can only imagine how tough it is!
An old friend of mine because a father two years ago and his baby was born the day BEFORE Father's Day. So long as Chell's full term and healthy and strong, I wouldn't stress out too much over it...just keep yourself busy in the meantime until Kristen's water breaks.
Three mile walk and a Denny's Bacon Teriyaki cheeseburger is what we swear put me into labor 2 weeks early. Oh and for Projects you could probably organize your movie and video games. then decide what Kid films you're going to play for Chell in what order? Kristen, do you know the day/night you concieved? I knew and 9 mons to the day I had my kids. Dr. predicted 2 weeks ahead and I told him nope, two weeks later and I won! ;D Cory, I understand that love completely and yes, it's very hard to explain to someone who doesn't have kids. It's a love like you've never felt before and it's so special. Even after 47 yrs I still feel that love for my kids. Enjoy every minute!

in was due January 12th. I was born January 31st. and it was 44 hours of labor. my poor mom lol she hasn't let me live it down for the last 32 years
my guess is she is going to come on my birthday on the 22nd.

Try getting on your hands and knees and scrub the kitchen floor, that may help drive you into labor, it's worked with a few of my friends.
It is weird how much anticipation I feel for the birth of a baby I will never meet in person and for parents I do not know in person. You somehow manage to make it feel like I am part of this even though I am not. I feel the excitement, I am looking forward to seeing this baby not quite as much as you two but pretty close. And the neat thing is there are a lot of people out there feeling the same way I am feeling right now, the power of UA-cam :)
I feel the same way. It's like they're part of our family, though, since we watch them daily. Cory and I did meet in Nashville, though, when he and Shaun were doing the tour. Such a fun time!
I think it is also the power of their personalities. They are positive people who send their happiness out to the rest of us. The first time I watched I had a bad day week at work and just wanted to turn my brain off for a while. Instead, I watched Cory talking in a positive and uplifting way. I immediately subscribed! I haven't been disappointed either. It makes it very easy to care about his family and be excited for the birth of Chell.

I am also excited for them and lately the first thing I check in the morning is to see if there are any new videos from Cory and Kristen. They aren't actual family, and they do not know most of us in any way, but somehow we all feel a connection to this growing little family in Alaska. It is actually pretty amazing!
I just discovered this channel and I already can't wait for this baby that will be born across the country!

That and actually the whole "nine months" thing isn't accurate. The truth is Most women carry for longer. Nine months is more of a general/ball-park figure than an exact eta.

Our friend had his shotgun out and cleaning it when his daughter was 16 and brought her first boyfriend home, all he said was "your gun goes off, so does mine". She never brought another boy home again lol

Have you guys made a bunch of meals for your freezer? I haven't been doing as well as I could be with keeping up with videos, but you can always cook if you're bored and out of projects! I wish I had made a LOT more meals when I was pregnant with our little man (who's now eight months old)-- it would have been soooo nice to not have to cook for a few weeks after he was born. We still had people bring us food, of course, but I would have loved more meals in the freezer.
Also, I know it feels like FOR. EV. ER. when you're waiting-- I went to forty-two weeks before my doctor was like, okay, we need to induce you now. But looking back it won't seem so bad because you'll have your beautiful baby as reward for all the waiting!!

You shouldn't put too much stock in the news. It's actually a very warped perspective on the world. Parents shelter their children from the evil of the world. The news does the exact opposite: they shelter you from the good in the world. Think about it. A million cars can drive down the road without incident, and the only one you hear about on the news is the one that crashed and burned. That's a ridiculously skewed view of the world, where you ignore millions of good things that happen and call the singular bad thing "news".
If you are truly honest about life, you will realize that it is almost exclusively good, especially in America. Consider how badly people drive, and how distracted people are while driving. The fact that car accidents are rare enough to be called "news" is a miracle. It really is.
Hey Cory, I just wanted to say sorry for criticizing your intro the other day. I was really tired and sad because of numerous things. I just want you to know that I really appreciate the work you put into making this content. You're awesome.
