Thank you to the person who recorded this you did a fantastic job. The camera was nice and steady with great resolution and you zoomed in and out perfectly so thank you. :)
Thanks for doing this. I narrowly missed actually getting into this one. Good to be able to see it anyway, and the quality is far beyond what one usually sees in these kind of videos. My hat is off to you, sir.
Thank You for uploading this and listening to people that can't appreciate what a privilege it is. People camped out to insure good seats, still others stood in line for hours, then sat in chairs 3 hours to insure they had seats for this event. Not to mention they had to purchase tickets for Comic-Con for the day. So thankful for the chance to see here something that makes me so happy. Na-Nu Na-Nu, Keep Calm, live long and prosper and May the Forth be with you, Jahnessa
Thank you for editing out the trailers. I slept all night on smelly grass to see that panel, not to mention the cost of the trip. It's meant to be very special for those who attend, and boy was it! I had tears in my eyes! Respect those who waited in line from 2pm Saturday til the panel at 1230pm on Sunday and stop whining about not getting to see the trailers. We earned it, you did not.
I've watched quite a few panels from Comic Con tonight cause I couldnt go and let me just say that interviewer was THE BEST. He was perfect and scottish and funny and knew what he was talking about. I loved it! Made the panel THAT much better AND they answered more than 3 questions unlike the rest of the panels that I've watched so far.
You would love his talk show then! He used to host a late night talk show, theres a yt channel that posts quite a number of episodes of his show with celebrities, you would love him - Craig Ferguson
Thank you so much you beautiful human being for uploading this, as I cannot afford to fly to comic con, you just made the fact that I couldn't be there a little easier to deal with. Thank you so so much, and some seriously good camera work :)
The host of my favorite American TV show moderating the Doctor Who panel. (My favorite British TV show). It doesn't get any better than this. For me anyway. I only wish I could have been there. From an "old" American who loves Doctor Who. Thanks for putting this on you tube.
the SAN DIEGO comic con, that is in San Diego, is a huge event for all fandom communities and is a great way to put out hype about you show. It is also incredibly nice of them to show anything and all the people who attended that panel had to pay to get in to the con. it is fair and they are not fools, there just as dedicated as you or me.
It is a tradition for the trailers shown at Comic Con to be exclusives, and I'm not surprised that it stayed that way this time. Think of it this way; either the trailer will be leaked sooner or later, or you will just have to wait for the 50th to come out.
I am so happy that you posted this! Craig Ferguson is an excellent moderator! I am guessing that at the end, the played Craig's brilliant Doctor Who cold open to his show. I couldn't go to Comic Con this year, but you captured the thing I wanted to see the most (outside the trailers!). Thank you so much for not only posting this, but for doing a really good job getting everything!
I just want to thank you for keeping Comic Con Exclusive footage exclusive. Even though I have never been to SDCC, I feel it is unfair to post exclusive material when those there had to pay and wait to see it. So thanks.
They showed the trailer at Comic Con because it was a HUGE event man. Thousand of people come from all over the world to see stuff like this. Just because its a British show DOSENT mean Americans can't enjoy it less. They are probably going to show more teasers in a couple of months, there is like 97 days til the 50th! We can wait.
Thank you for saying what you've said. I'd give up the ability to see the 50th Anniversary trailer in a heartbeat if I could hop on a train and in a few hours be at a filming location. Or perhaps catch some of the actors and actresses in the show doing appearances for the show and for anything else they might be involved with. I don't begrudge you Brits for being able to do that (much, lol!) but I appreciate it that we can share the show together. Wherever we live, we're ALL Whovians!
I'd pee my pants with excitement if Craig was cast as the next Doctor 🎉🎉🎉 lol and John Barrowman coming back as Captain Jack #dreamteam but saying that if Richard Adaoye was cast as the doctor I'd be happy aswell. x
I agree. That alone made seeing the video of this panel so important to me. Not everybody has the resources to make it to San Diego, and afford a Hotel, I really wish Comicon would allow a network to show or a website to host videos of the panels.
PLEASE stop fighting, guys. Yes, we pay for the show, and yes it's annoying that people at comic-con get the trailer before us, but at the end of the day we'll still get it eventually! They paid a lot of money to go to comic-con, so of course they're going to get exclusives. I don't say this very often, but can we all just remind ourselves that Doctor Who is a TV SHOW. There are bigger things to fight about. We're all here as fans, so just respect that and be nice to each other. x
By the same token, those of us here in the US have to wait months for UK productions to air here. As a recent example, you lot got Broadchurch a few months back. It doesn't air here til August. And some of it never gets released here. I just had to order a special DVD player just so I could buy DVDs of shows that never aired or had video released in the US from overseas. I'm just thankful that the BBC airs Doctor Who over here the same day it airs in the UK, rather than making us wait.
I think it's fair to edit the trailer out. Remember the Blu-ray incident earlier this year, with the last episode of the series? They asked not to leak that episode as it hadn't aired yet even in the UK. The BBC then released a special interview of Matt and David which in turn benefited fans from all over the world. It's just a bonus for those who went to the SDCC. Who knows, if no one leaks the trailer, we get another snippet or something of the 50th? ;)
BBCA is the only network we get UK programming on, with the exception of some CBBC and Ceebees (sp?) programming on the kids channels. But BBCA airs stuff from BBC, ITV, and several other UK channels. The example I used earlier, Broadchurch, is set to air on BBCA here in August, though I think it originally aired on ITV over there.
The thing about that though, US gets 16 - 23-episode long seasons, such as Supernatural. Walking Dead, Game of Thrones (formerly House M.D, Heroes, Sarah Connor Chronicles etc) and we get like maybe, 10-episode long series. One of our only series that lasts any longer is Waterloo Road, and that's only on for 10 weeks during school term for 30 eps. Supernatural season 8 just started here. But the problem is, US gets more content for a single season, whereas the UK gets half in quantity.
"Just go to comic con" Either you're spoilt or don't appreciate how hard it is to organise that. The tickets, the time, the place to stay, the price of the comic con and so on.
14:29 Look at the crowd. People were recording it on their phones. Now unless they turned theirs off a fraction of a second after the camera we're looking from here, the trailer is out there.
I think they should have released it universally. I know the BBC is in charge of it all and it started in the UK, but it has begun to have a massive American and international audience.
He's going to play William Hartnell in the special "An Adventure in Space and Time", written by Mark Gatiss, which will tell the story of the formation of the sci-fi drama in the early 1960s. It will air later this year.
OMG Craig Ferguson is host - he is so hilarious - it's funny on his show when he explains Doctor Who to guests that don't know a thing about it. That was an excellent panel. Thanks for posting it. It's the only way to see these things when you're in Australia.
19:49 i'm sorry but just stop. Doctor Who has always been and always will be British. I have no problem with episodes occasionally being filmed over in the US (or any other country) but don't for a second think we'll start collaborating permanently with American production and basing it over there. at 20:08 was Matt basically saying fuck off. i never see British fans saying about US TV shows ''come over here and make it British too''
I just have to say, Doctor Who has millions of fans all over the world, not just America and Britain. I would have loved to be given the opportunity to camp out overnight to see the panel and the trailers, but there are so many people who never get the chance. It's not just the comic con people that have earned the right to see the trailers, it's everybody that watches Doctor Who
Because they get in trouble if they put out the trailers online. The trailers are Comic-Con exclusives, and Steven Moffat even commented at the panel to say that they would have to stop doing exclusive trailers is people kept posting them online.
i think the base of their argument included the fact that despite being INTERNATIONAL, ComicCon was in San Diego, which is in America, and therefore, more accessible to Americans. I mean, face it, it's much cheaper to go to Comic Con if you're from Florida, or New York or Alabama, than all the way from London or Cardiff
but you guys are lucky because there is a community for doctor who in Britain and you can get doctor who merchandise almost everywhere there- it is relatively easy in canada/ america there is like one (major) event per year and in canada we dont even get that... it is amazing that you guys came up with the best show in human history, but i dont like how some of you (not you specifically) hate every little thing related to doctor who we do
"Is there any episode you think you've gone too far?"
"YES. And then we put it on television." BEST LINE EVER
"he is know in my house as the bastad that killed Amy and Rory" xD
Craig hosting the panel this year is one of the best things!
Ferguson was the right host
Craig is the best!
"What is it you call me?" (Sexy)
"Oh, Idris, hi!"
Matt is quite possibly the most coy doctor I know.
I love the fact the Moffat and the gang are an incredible force in TV. Doctor Who and Sherlock are by far the coolest shows on TV.
Oh my god...Craig Ferguson + Doctor who? I can die happily!!!!
Thank you to the person who recorded this you did a fantastic job. The camera was nice and steady with great resolution and you zoomed in and out perfectly so thank you. :)
The fact that Craig FINALLY got to comic con AND is the moderator for this panel makes me so happy.
Thank you SO much!!I have been scouring the internet all day for a recording of this panel!!
Thanks for doing this. I narrowly missed actually getting into this one. Good to be able to see it anyway, and the quality is far beyond what one usually sees in these kind of videos. My hat is off to you, sir.
The Impossible Planet (and part 2) was my favourite Doctor Who story too. It really opened my mind as a child. I was in such awe. It was beautiful.
David Bradley is a legend
I've watched quite a few panels from Comic Con tonight cause I couldnt go and let me just say that interviewer was THE BEST. He was perfect and scottish and funny and knew what he was talking about. people need to stop arguing and just be thankful for this BEYOND AMAZING video of the panel
Thank you magicinthenumbers for posting.
God Bless you, Thank you for posting this, As Both a Dr Who and Craig Ferguson Fan I know I am going to love this!
Craig Ferguson's best friend is the doctor, close enough
In any case this was brilliant, thanks for posting. Just sat about and watched the whole panel.
It is a tradition for the trailers shown at Comic Con to be exclusives, and I'm not surprised that it stayed that way this time. Think of it this way; either the trailer will be leaked sooner or later, or you will just have to wait for the 50th to come out.
Peak Doctor Who hype. No other comic con since this tops it.
I love the fact that Craig Ferguson was the moderator and that some people got excited about it as well.
Thanks so much for doing this - excellent recording, great sound, steady hand!!!
Thanks a lot for uploading this man, thanks for all the good work on all the panels =)
Thank you sooo much for posting this!
Thank you for the upload! The line was ridiculous for Sunday.
I have been waiting for this all day
I just want to thank you for keeping Comic Con Exclusive footage exclusive. Even though I have never been to SDCC, I feel it is unfair to post exclusive material when those there had to pay and wait to see it. So thanks.
Can't we just enjoy this beautiful video? We all love Doctor Who. I mean really.
thanks for the pannel :) Hopefully we get the trailer soon.

I live in America, I couldn't go Comic Con, MOST of American Doctor Who fans, couldn't go to Comic Con. I want to see it as much as you do.
Don't worry, it was already on UA-cam! The title is "Craig Ferguson - The lost 'Dr. Who' cold open." And it's awesome. :)
Thank you for posting this!
Thank you for saying what you've said. I'd give up the ability to see the 50th Anniversary trailer in a heartbeat if I could hop on a train and in a few hours be at a filming location. Super cool! So happy for that once in a life time experience for you! Cheers!
Thanks so much for posting
I'd pee my pants with excitement if Craig was cast as the next Doctor 🎉🎉🎉 lol and John Barrowman coming back as Captain Jack #dreamteam but saying that if Richard Adaoye was cast as the doctor I'd be happy aswell. x
Did you ever know that you're my heeeeerro?? Thanks so so much for posting this!!
I agree. That alone made seeing the video of this panel so important to me. Not everybody has the resources to make it to San Diego, and afford a Hotel, I really wish Comicon would allow a network to show or a website to host videos of the panels.
Yes they do, its called a tv license which we pay for, which goes to the BBC which in turn funds Doctor Who.
PLEASE stop fighting, guys. Yes, we pay for the show, and yes it's annoying that people at comic-con get the trailer before us, but at the end of the day we'll still get it eventually! Thanks for posting this!
You guys can argue I'm just gonna wait for like a year.
We waited 16 YEARS between the 8th and 9th Doctor.
I think we can wait a few months for this.
Comic Con is one of the biggest multigenre conventions in the world, naturally they're going to show the 50th anniversary trailer there.
By the same token, those of us here in the US have to wait months for UK productions to air here. As a recent example, you lot got Broadchurch a few months back. It doesn't air here til August. matt smith regenerates in the christmas special and the 50th anniversary is just a special with david tenant, matt smith and john hurt
Yes, the Christmas special will be Matt's finale. Moffat is on page 22 of the script.
Thanks, Antonio. Love this.
this was absolutely brilliant wish i was here!
Thanks for upload dude.
In America's defense comicon is a multinational event because people from all over the world come to see it, much like the old World Fairs
Best. Panel. Ever. I love these people! Ok going to miss Matt Smith so much!
Loved that intro from craigyferg!

+kitty keitel He was referring to the Doctor Who experience museum/exposition.
I cant believe no one put the trailer on the internet! Good honest fans :')
"He's Doctor Who, doodle doo dee do. He'll come and sign his name on you." Heehee. Love Craig. He's the best.
"Just go to comic con"
Either you're spoilt or don't appreciate how hard it is to organise that. The tickets, the time, the place to stay, the price of the comic con and so on.

David Bradley sitting up there in the middle of the table bring me bad memories.
Thank you
Oh man, I fucking love Craig, Doctor Who, and you. Thank you a LOT for the video.

we don't think you guys are stealing our show.. the more viewers the better I don't want to risk it ever getting cancelled:D x
Patrick Troughton was in a 1st Doctor story, Colin Baker was in a 5th Doctor story. This has happened before.
"known in my household as the 'Bastard who killed Amy and Rory'"
OMG Craig Ferguson is host - he is so hilarious - it's funny on his show when he explains Doctor Who to guests that don't know a thing about it. That was an excellent panel. Thanks for posting it. It's the only way to see these things when you're in Australia.
they do come to America, every once and a while
Most of us Americans are wishing we were rich enough to go to San Diego. We feel for you.
i ment episodes are set in us more often now than they were when it started
19:49 i'm sorry but just stop. Doctor Who has always been and always will be British. I have no problem with episodes occasionally being filmed over in the US (or any other country) but don't for a second think we'll start collaborating permanently with American production and basing it over there.

more than a million worldwide.
I NEED TO SEE THE TRAILER!!!!!!!!
You can't complain either, you have wild moose. Wild moose are awesome.
"As he's known in my house THE BASTARD THAT KILLED AMY AND RORY!" Yeah, my house to.
I think the whole point was that it's a different trailer to the one that we will see soon.
i think the base of their argument included the fact that despite being INTERNATIONAL, ComicCon was in San Diego, which is in America, and therefore, more accessible to Americans. I mean, face it, it's much cheaper to go to Comic Con if you're from Florida, or New York or Alabama, than all the way from London or Cardiff

That's what 'exclusive' means. We'll all get one in a bit, don't worry.
They can't legally record the trailers/videos and people walk around to check. Also, they did show all of the questions.
I'm just a little ticked they cut out the videos, but that's 'exclusive' for you
I don't give a fuck when the trailer came out and who saw it first.....CRAIG FERGUSON. OMG, he's amazing and is all I care about so..
Thank you. Thank you. I'll be here all week *cue dance exit*
