Finally someone who isn't on the bandwagon these were the best SI in my opinion very unique 3 colors to choose from rare but fun at the same time and to me it still looks good in today's standards I'm sorry but the honda fan boys will give me flack for this but I don't care the newer si look uglier especially the sedans that's just me though
Hitting my mid 40’s and the cars I grew up with are now “classics”. When the fuck did that happen? This era was a generational shift, glad I was there smack in the middle of it.
@@deadfishparty I sort of wish I had been able to enjoy an era of cheap 90s and 2000s cars. These have always sort of been old and slightly out of reach for my generation.
Hey boys, I just finished restoring my 2000 EM1, Starlight Black Pearl all stock body kit, rear spoiler and stock rims. It has 175K highway miles, I will be doing a video soon of the all the work done. @vucci8378 Nice ones can still be had for less. ITR is faster, lighter on its feet, and more raw. That said, this car is not too far off. It sort of feels like a watered-down version of the same experience. However, it is also wayyyyy cheaper than an ITR, and when comparing the price difference, this is not too far off in hoe fun it is.
this car would probably fetch $15-19k. Maybe you can find a more worn down example right under 10k. Not "expensive" but these certainly aren't budget cars anymore!! Look into a 97-02 manual accord or acura cl if you want a $5000 stick honda
@user-wx7co9hr7e Look at Bring a Trailer! You can find them for 20k, but those cars are very low mileage. A lot of them hover in the 8-15 range for the nice ones.
@@EvanDannenhirsch You are correct, the EM1's are 💎 now and they are cheap as they were only made 99-00. You can get a salvaged title under cheap . However to find one in great condition is super rare with low mileage. Someone offered me $12K for my EM1 and I declined and said it was not for sale recently.
The 2000 Civic Si is my favorite Honda. Can't go wrong!
@@LiLgPnoy15 The EM1 Si is a lot of fun!

This is a cool series man. Definitely appreciate these cars a bit more lately. Also, props to the owner for doing all this.
@DMN3901 The owner is awesome haha. I'm glad you are enjoying the series. These were fun to do! Lots of bucket list cars crossed off.

Honda should make an anniversary edition of this car and make it exactly like this, although a few editions would be great.
