I travelled home early this morning on a short flight from Melbourne to Tasmania. Next to me was a beautiful young mother and her two children. I’d say they were maybe 3 and 4 years old. They sat quietly playing with their “toys” (I think the older boy had an iPad). I was struck by how focused and quiet they were. Their mum proceeded to feed them squishy sugar sweets - literally popping them into their mouths one at a time for the whole trip! She finished the whole bag. Guess what happened about 15 mins after eating the last marshmallow/jelly sweet? They started to climb around their seats, acting up - getting down onto the floor, get agitated and started to cry and get frustrated. Their mother was obviously embarrassed and tried to find ways to placate them. She bribed them with a cookie! I’m not judging this mum. Not at all. I’m just heart broken for the whole family. That sugar hit would knock down a baby elephant let alone two tiny children. The little girl wiggled around saying she had a tummy ache. 😢😢😢 This is where it begins: the sugar addicts are hooked very early. These candy manufacturers have a LOT to answer for. I hope you will cover this major issue on behalf of all children and their parents in your upcoming film. It affects their health, teeth and behaviour and has real consequences for our society as a whole. Thanks for listening. I felt so helpless. It was not my place to say anything as much as I really wanted to. 😢

I lost 30 pounds on Ozempic at a cost of $10,000 plus grocery $$$, no energy, lots of constipation, always weak & sore with brain fog for 10 months.
I lost 30 pounds going CARNIVORE spending less grocery $$$, having much, much more energy, mentally functioning 100% and I’m only sore now from doing a tremendous amount of remodeling, yard work etc.
The CARNIVORE 30 pounds off only took 5 months.
I’m working on another 40 lbs off.
I’m a Type1 diabetic of 49 years, taking 35% less insulin than a year ago & reducing other prescriptions with a fantastic endocrinologist. A1c is 5.9. My LDL is less than before, but I do take zetia. I’m looking into quitting it.
Electrolyte supplements are essential for me to function physically & mentally. I like LMNT & BodyArmor drinks.

I’m on Mounjaro and Carnivore, and I’m down 100 pounds. When I’m hungry I eat. When I’m not hungry, I don’t. Still have a lot to lose. I absolutely love the carnivore lifestyle, my diet is clean and it feels amazing. I attribute my progress to both carnivore and the mounjaro, and I’m thankful for both

I was extremely against the medicine as a carnivore but if you have food addictions and you cannot stay consistent with carnivore micro dosing this is an incredible tool even if it is just temporary to get you on track with carnivore it will absolutely shut down the food cravings so for someone who is trying to stay on carnivore, but is falling off the carnivore path from food addiction. This is an incredible resource.

I'm weaning away from the ozempic... I'm now on the smallest dose... I'm down 110lbs ...went Ketovore 2 years ago leaning heavily carnivore for the last 6 months.. I'm staying carnivore and soon leaving ozempic behind.

I will give you my thoughts Kerry. I was on Ozempic for over a year. It was so expensive! I have insurance and it still cost too much! I was on it for diabetes reasons. I never lost a pound!! It did help my diabetes but it wasn’t a cure and my blood sugar was still high! Nothing helped my diabetes until I got on carnivore. I was even taking ozempic from the underground shops! Peptide shops! It was cheaper but it still didn’t cure or reverse my diabetes! Semaglutide the generic name for it can make do something? But now I know that it’s not needed to get what you’re looking for when taking ozempic. Also it makes you feel sick! I never lost weight on it! I dropped weight on carnivore diet and I didn’t exercise I eat meats! I was blown away by that! I’m no longer diabetic and I will get my bloodwork done this week. I haven’t been talking too much as I am fearful about my blood sugar as it’s been high! I can do no more than what I’m doing now and it is really messing up my head. From what I have found in all the research is that my cells don’t use glucose and my brain does. The glucose my liver makes isn’t all used by my brain and all other places for it have locked the doors to it as they run on ketones/fats so when I check my blood sugar levels it’s high! Supposedly that’s not going to raise my A1C. I know the research, but I can’t be at peace with that, not till I get this blood test. I don’t and can’t tell people what I believe about this WOE until I am sure of it for myself! I’m actually scared and an emotional basket case right now because it feels like a shadow hanging over me! I have dealt with a lot of loss and pain and it feels like I’m going to lose this feeling good that I’ve found. I love this community and all it’s done for me! I will let you all know as soon as I know. Thank you all!
    Stay safe 🥩🥓🧈🍳❤️‍🩹

Maybe you need to be part of a community for food addicts? It’s hard on your own, the food is one thing but addiction treatment covers so much more. Community support is the most important. Some communities let you have your own food plan but take care of the rest…

I took Ozempic for almost 2 years, I didn’t have it during a shortage and gained 15kg. When I had my dexa scan I now have more body fat now than when I was heavier. My bone density is also poor - osteopenia range. I’ve lost so much muscle too. I came to Ketovore and haven’t lost weight but at least after stopping Ozempic, I haven’t gained. I had to give up the ultra processed foods, I had no idea how much they messed with my brain. I’m just grateful that I have time to work at my health whilst I’m still young enough (early 40’s). It only maintained my sleeve weight loss, I couldn’t lower or get to my goal weight. It helped reduce cravings but it does wear off after time.

At age 69 or so, i found Keto. Began doing that to gain control over my diabeties. I watched my mother lose a leg to diabetic gangareen. She died with kidney failure had liver issues. Lived for sigar in whatever form. She was overweight her whole life, until death at 95 lbs.
Watched my older sister die from cancer, liver failure drom drinking, etc. my nephew die of liver failure from drunking.
The wine beer or sugar treets all amount to the same results. Cancers. Liver failure hair loss, etc etc.
I chose quality if life over food entertainment. Towards the end my sister noticed my weight loss, kess and less wrinkles. Time reversing for me while she was dieing and knew it. She loved baking bread, eating rice and potatoes. And she had a sweet tooth she disguised with wine. When she quit drinking to save her liver she began eating lollypops, tootsy poos red ones were her favorite.
She died of cancer through her body. I am glad i am watching your show as my 32 year old 300 lb son struggles with the keto/carnivore. His kriptonite is diet soda. His doctor wanted to put him on something like ozwmpic before he becomes diabetic like mist of my family. God protected him by his medical insurance denying him the shots. You got to already BE diabetic, or in some kind of critical medical failure.
I keep encouraging my son to continue with the diet. I try and cook different things to help him succeed. If i can just get him past 300lbs. He will be more encouraged.
I read to him the consequences of ozempic and like meds. He knows he has to do this himself. Before his dictor decides to have him get a gastric by pass or something. I have had to have ahernic repaired. Dr twisted my stomach into a tiny pouch so it would stay under my diaphram. I now have gastroparisis. Until u went keto/carnivour i spent a lot of time throwing up. Just meat seems to stop the nausea.
I am not making progress due to cheese addiction. And i like sugar free bread and butter pickles with my meals.
Anither thing we are looking at is our spices. Unless pure onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt. Pepper you grind.
My son likes sauces. And a lot if the sauces he uses do have carbs in them. I am trying to ween him from the expensive sauces so we can begin ro see progress.
I have gone from size 20 to size 10 headed to my dead sisters size 8 pants. I cant believe i can get into these tiny looking slacks and shorts.
I wish my skin didnt look so warerfallish, but at 72 yeas old no one is gonna see me naked.

Multiple people in my family are using ozempic. Yes, they have lost weight however, they also are still diabetic, still have heart issues, blockage in their arteries and gall stones. When both my parents ended up in the ER in the same week for heart attack and blood clots I knew I needed to change. I don't have any health issues other than being obese. My father did not either until a year ago when he was diagnosed with diabetes and prostate cancer. I see my family doctor once every five years and I do not take any medication and have not complied to any jabs in the past few years. I knew that pharmaceutical companies nor Oprah had my best interest in mind. I started this year on Mother's Day and today, Father's Day, I am down 15 pounds and feel amazing! So much energy! Cravings stopped within a week. CARNIVORE for me!

  • @HeatherPaulineWeightloss
    @HeatherPaulineWeightloss 7 днів тому +1

Yep the problem with the crazy side effects we hear about that aren’t stopping after the first week is because many of the people are still eating the same junk. Which even the drug companies say you need to do….but They aren’t changing anything other than the amount they are eating. I started Zepbound and after the first few weeks of sugar withdrawals and other side effects (all the same that I’ve had when cutting grains and sugar in the past as well) was able to go right into eating carnivore. The celebrities using it for cosmetic weight loss is a whole other thing. All massive weight loss comes with some muscle loss and hair loss and then in maintenance can be grown back. These drugs are just another tool that can help people IF they are willing to change their food and their habits. If you take these meds to help you finally quit sugar processed junk and eat real food and start walking and getting outside and getting sun, and better sleep then you can and will get off these medications. I had weight loss surgery, and was sticking to no sugar no grains, meat based….did great, but as soon as I thought hey I can reintroduce this stuff yay I can be “normal” all the cravings the depression everything came back full force with a vengeance. Now I know from my own experience, I can never ever go back to eating those foods. I personally have to treat sugar just like alcohol I have no control over it. These drugs are a blessing to many and they can be a huge help for those who still haven’t been able to start carnivore so I wouldn’t write them off completely. They can be used in a great way with carnivore. Dr Cywes has a few videos on doing this and it’s working for me 👍🏻

I have a friend who's been on Wegovy for months now and yes, she has lost weight, but she looks HORRIBLE. Her muscles are gone, she is super flabby, her face is sunken in, her eyes are hollow and she has stomach and kidney issues. She looks SICK. I considered taking it until I did a bunch of research and the side effects blew me away. I talked to her about the info I found and told her I was worried about what it would do to her long term. Her response? I don't care, I'm alive now and I want to be thin. I told her that when she stops taking it, she will gain all the weight back and she said she'll just take it for life. She is all about the quick fix, and continues to eat all the crap food that made her fat in the first place. Her husband who was obese, also started taking it. He has lost alot of weight too, and has zero muscle mass. His arms look like an orangutan's and his strength is extremely diminished, so much so that he is having a hard time doing his job. He has bad stomach issues too. But hey, he lost weight and can continue eating pizza, junk food and his energy drinks! I just can't deal with them anymore. They're poor choices have really impacted our relationship, it's quite sad. Anyhow, I've been on carnivore for almost a year and I'm down 30lbs. It's slow going, I've been in a stall for the last 3 months, but I'm just continuing on. My husband eats whatever he wants, and I oftentimes have to cook him something completely different, but he is super supportive of me and is so happy that I didn't take the easy way out. I have cheated and ate some veggies and carbs here and there, but it always makes me feel like crap, which just reaffirms WHY I am doing this. I am committed and I will lose this last 50lbs and will be physically healthier than I have ever been in my life. Love you and Jen and can't wait to see the film!! Eat more meat! 🥩

Hard to say which is worse, the various surgeries that permanently cut the stomach down, where the patients become malnourished for life and are at much higher risk for stomach cancer, like my friend that passed away a few years ago. Or, injecting, synthesized reptile venom, that slows down digestion so much, that many literally have a medically induced, & serious condition, called: Gastroparesis, where as the stomach becomes paralyzed and some end up on a feeding tube, plus other side effects.

Many, many people I know are on Ozempic and losing weight and happy about it. I have been pressured to take it but was turned off by many warning videos on it... I have been Carnivore since October of 2018. I tried every way of doing Carnivore you can imagine. My success is 95% Carnivore eating for these 66 months. Many of my ailments have been resolved, but not the weight. I have not lost one pound in 66 months of 95% Carnivore. I was never able to stay 100% Carnivore for more than a month at a time, but after a strict month of Carnivore and not losing then I would eat something different... only one meal... then back to Carnivore. For my body, Carnivore does not help me lose any weight at all. I am near morbidly obese, yes I have Pre-diabetes. I just made a deal to pay someone to stay with me for a few days while I get started on a water fast, as that is the only time I lose anything at all. The reason they say Ozempic is for life is only because while you are on it you don't have hunger and when you go off it you have hunger and if you then eat more you gain back the weight, that's all. Most people on Ozempic are just eating the same SAD diet but eating less... I wonder what it would be like if a person like myself who can not lose on Carnivore could do both Ozempic and Carnivore. ? The thing I am avoiding Ozempic for is because I think it has MRNA in it just like the recent vax people were coerced into taking with devastating results. Here in Canada the cost of Ozempic is only $300.00 per month and eating Carnivore costs about twice that amount. If you eat a lot less then the cost is not a significant factor. There is no reason anyone has to stay on Ozempic for life.

You say you’re 95% Carnivore why not go 100% Carnivore just for 30 days? That little 5% can make all the difference in the world for example, some people just keep cheese in and they absolutely will not budge on any weight because of the cheese. Why not just do 100% Carnivore.

I am a commited carnivore of over a year. Ozempic is somewhat tempting as carnivore does not have the satiety for me it seems to have for many others. As a result after starving my way to target weight i went to what is commonly advised i.e. dont count calories eat when hungry eat till full. Now i have gained back thirty lbs. As seems common different people have different outcomes with same inputs so im still struggling 15 months after starting carnivore and never cheating. Outside of the weight issues it is more wins than losses but i still have brain fog more than not skin tags didnt disappear despite many assurances they would. Overall i dont regret it but it isnt all wins across the board for sure in my case.

I’m sorry it’s not smooth sailing for you. My worry and what I hear most often in your scenario is that yes you are eating strict carnivore BUT perhaps the wrong meats. You mention chicken, pork etc all indeed carnivore but if you’re not feeling full you are most likely not eating enough fat. As Dr Kiltz said it should be called fatavore. I don’t think it’s humanely possibly to be truly consuming copious amounts of animal fats and not feeling full. If it were me I’d switch to BLion- no cheese just butter and the fattiest beef I could find for 30 days

    • @Otingocni

I occasionally switch up but I have focused on high fat as suggested by you berry baker chaffee etc. chicken has been less than 5% of my diet since going carnivore the rest is pulled pork or fattiest beef I can find. When I was tracking every calorie I was getting about 300% of rda of fat. Are you suggesting that isn't enough? Not looking for a debate but it's hard to go through over a years worth of my journey in one paragraph

    • @Homesteadhow
      @Homesteadhow  8 днів тому +2

I hear you and I’m truly just trying to help. You said (same inputs) above and when I hear that from others and investigate it’s often not true. For me for 90 days I did strict lion and that is when I had the most success. You mentioned some percentages and some (mostly) but often times it’s that last 5% (for some of us) that makes all the difference. I can only tell you what I would do. If it were me- I’d do a big change up- I’d focus on lion diet for 30 days. No cheese. Are you eating cheese? I just can’t understand how you could consume all that fat and not feel full. Something is off.
