I left Trinidad over 30 years ago. I never witnessed floods like this when I lived there, this is beyond heartbreaking. Those that live in single level homes beds must be soaked. Praying for my homeland! Stay strong Trinis!!!🙏🏼❤🙏🏼
I relocated here 7 yrs ago after living abroad for 45 yrs and this paradise is now hell for the masses. Don't bother coming back...I'll be migrating back or moving to another island...
Its been raining heavily for six days,three days nonstop in some areas,the rivers are overflowing there banks,today 28/11/22,its sunny so let's hope it stays.

Just look at all that vine on the electrical overhead wires...what a mess and sooo much neglect. This is common in all parts of Trinidad from Madras Rd to Penal to Bamboo to just about everywhere....what a mess.
The village is located near the junction of three rivers and a swamp, so flooding is likely. In the near term first floor residences should be vacated and new home construction should be on stilts.
Trinidad in a mess I feel so sad, people stop building them houses on the mountain, that rain water 💧 can not retain the earth, so it keeps coming down to the flat lands, plant plenty of trees on the mountain and bushes like long ago, trust me, from Bellrose NY
May the Thought Pattern Contribution Causes Be Addressed and Eliminated, such as: Arrogance, Jealousy, Grudges, Vindictive, Hatred, Greed, Anger, Foolishness, Lack of Empathy.
