P&S BEAD MAKER DRYING AID / PAINT PROTECTANT REVIEW

- Learn how to protect you car paint with P&S Bead Maker Paint Protectant. I have used a lot of detailing products over the years and this one is a keeper. Join me as I review and test the P&S Bead maker on a freshly polished car hood. When I like a product I want to share it with my viewers and this is a winner. If you want really long lasting protection there are other products out there but my favorite part about P&S Bead maker is that it only lasts 30-60 days. Because I use Bead maker as a drying aid I do not want to have stronger sealants piling up on the paint every time I wash the car.

Man this guy is chill AF lmao I like your garage setup 💯
Thanks a lot. Glad you like it.
This guy garage is cherry !!!!
He’s like the Bob Ross of detailing
Yeaahhaah!
I don't see any similarity.
My new favorite channel. I love this guy. I can listen to him talk all day.
Thanks a lot man. I appreciate it.
My favorite as well!! 👍🏼
Probably the only channel I can enjoy and watch the whole video, very detailed and helpful. Your vibes are what make these videos great! Thanks for the great tips!
Thanks man. I appreciate it
Bro, one of my new favorite detailing channels.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. Thanks for watching
Before I buy a product or even use one I haven't in a while, I watch your videos! Thank you for being informative and entertaining!
Thanks a lot.
I use the Beadmaker product exactly like you. Spray bottle and gallon refill as a drying aid right after a wash. What I also like about your channel is that you don’t go crazy nuts with 1000 different products piled up on the wall. That’s absolutely ridiculous. Keep up the good work my friend.
Thanks. I try to keep products that I like. I don’t need 100 different wheel cleaners. Thanks for watching.
If i use beadmaker as a drying aid with my drying towel will it give the towel hydropobic properties and make it dry worse?
@@armaandhah1909 That’s exactly why P&S introduced their microfiber cleaner that “strips” the Beadmaker off the towels making them like new again.
UA-cam finally just recommended one of your videos to me and now I’m hooked. Making my way through each one. I use bead maker as a topper for my adams graphene coating I put on my 2019 Ivory Ram 1500 limited. I always describe it as buttery smooth. It makes the paint feel like silk. And makes that ivory white paint really pop. I love it.
Thanks. I am glad you enjoy the channel.
Once you get the initial coat on of this stuff, its absolutely a game changer to keep your coating alive for a long time.
Yes it will. Its a great niche product. I love using it as a drying aid. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts
“Yaaaaaa” 😂
Love the videos, keep them coming!
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
Very cool product.Have it on my car now. Super slick, and yeah, it's great for a drying aid. When I have to use hard water, I have to be sure to get all that water dried off. And I have a metro sidekick too for the usual tough spots. Thanks man!
Thank you for watching. All nice stuff. Makes it fun to detail the car.
Hey man! Love your channel and your videos have excellent tips! Just wanted to make sure you are not sponsored by any of the companies like P and S. You seem very genuine but I just want to make sure because I feel like there are some guys out there with priorities other than honesty. And if you’re not you should let everyone know! 🤙 Keep up the great content!
I am not sponsored by P&S or any other company. The products I have been reviewing and using on my channel are all paid for by me. I use them, like them and want to share my user experience with the viewers. I hope that these videos provide a way for people to see products and tools being used and help them make an informed decision without having to spend unnecessary money. I will never do a bullcrap glorified review of a bad product. That is for sure. Thanks for watching, commenting and sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.
Man I love watching your channel. You are so laid back and chill. Makes for a fantastic viewing experience. Keep it up man.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
Nice! I use bead maker specifically for my aluminum wheels (with black microfiber towels, of course) since I use Xpel Ceramic Boost on my paint ever since I got it ceramic coated. I definitely can say bead maker is a winner in my book!
Yeah. I like it too.
Curious, what's The philosophy behind using black microfiber towels for the wheels?
@@DeeDen8511 Since tires are black, easy to match and avoid any confusion to use those to scratch your paint finish or bring contaminants inside during interior detailing.
@@seiph80 thank you for the tip
This stuff is AWESOME. Thanks for turning me on to it for my 2021 white Tesla Model 3. I find that it doesn’t work on glass well and I prefer to apply to a 80% dry car rather that wet.
You are welcome. Thanks for sharing how you are using it. Anything from wet to dry works great. One advantage to putting it on fully wet is the added lubrication for the drying process. Thanks for watching.
This guy is underrated
Thank You
I agree with you and I like that t lasts about 30 days and the slickness levels are amazing. I have been using beadmaker for 2 years now and I love the product.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I like it a lot also. It’s my go to drying aid / spray protectant. Thanks for watching.
What a underrated channel. Hey I’m curious what to use on my model 3 seats and other faux leather trim to protect it against the sun. I can see you’re not a fan of 303 on your seats. So what do you use?
Thanks a lot. I don’t use any protection on them. I have tinted glass that offers a really high UV protection. I like the matte look of a clean seat with no product on it. I recommend tints for the UV. Thanks for watching
I like BeadMaker very much. However, I like GTECHNIQ’s C2V3 better. Try some! Very easy to use… nice gloss and superb durability as a stand alone or a topper on a coated car.
Thanks. I will have to check it out. Thanks for watching
I’m glad I came cross your UA-cam channel a month ago great videos! Yes bead maker is great! I Bought some other P&S products after watching your videos!
P&S has a very reliable product line. You can’t go wrong. Good stuff. Great price. Thanks for watching.
To much Bead Maker, can use to much, some say yes,it will streak over time. Any comments. You answered my question.
I subbed because I also enjoy smoking the 'erb and detailing cars..Nice channel. I swear all us folks who fall in love with detailing have some form of O.C.D.
Yeah I know what you mean. Thanks for watching and following the channel
Awesome video & product review. Love P&S Products. I use a lot of them regularly. Keep em coming!! Aloha!!

Your work space looks awesome! Good video, thanks.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
Nice video...I bought some of this based on a video you did a few weeks ago. So Legit!!!
Thanks for another great review!
Thanks a lot.
I agree with a lot of what you said as far as topping type sealant products.
My biggest issue with Beadmaker is I find it not even lasting a week...maybe 2 weeks at the very best in the Texas heat. Maybe up North it works better but the durability to me just needs to be a little better than that.
If I’m just gonna use a product to top for that extra shine and slickness, I go with Topper from Xtreme Solutions and I even get more durability with Topper.
I love P&S products as well and have quite a few, I’ve just grown away from liking Beadmaker but that’s just for me. We all have different likes and needs and nobody necessarily is right or wrong.
Thanks for sharing your experience with it and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.
After watching this video I started thinking I might be using too little Bead Maker on my panels. I’d do like 1-2 spritzes per panel as if I used TW S&S.
I use it as a drying aid for my silver car and I hardly need to polish it to bring the shine!
Edit: new subscriber here, man
Great to hear. Thanks for watching
Awesome video man yeah your channel is flying now!! Congratulations!! 👍🏼😎
Thanks buddy. I appreciate it.
I have to agree that you don't want it to stay on there for a long time. regular maintenance washes and a shiny vehicle is my game on two cars. thanks

Just a few days ago I stumbled upon your channel. And I have enjoyed watching some of your older videos. I have seen you are student of the OG school of detailing. Mat would be proud. Your garage looks nice.
The next step I might suggest you (if you haven’t yet) try doing some paint enhancements. Good luck 👍✌️☮️
Funny you say that. Just picked up a new Polisher a few weeks ago. Thanks for checking out the channel.
New subscriber here...great video! I have been using Bead Maker for over a year now. I completely agree with the way you use it and apply it...Great stuff!

TIP... let cure in doors for as long as possible for best results.
Put down a good base coat. then use when drying.

Awesome review man! I still haven't tried any of the P&S products yet. I gotta to it
Thanks a lot. You will like the P&S line. It’s a no bullcrap company. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing Just tried Bead Maker for the first today and boy you were right about the gloss. I haven’t tested to see how hydrophobic it is yet but I’m impressed so far by the gloss and ease of application.
@@TheCarDetailingChannel yeah it’s really good stuff. Durability is short but easily should last between washes. I like it
How's it Jeremy! How often do you use this as a drying aid or topper? You mention you don't like product caking up from repeated use, and I completely agree with that philosophy... so do you use this as a drying aid ONLY after a set amount of washes? Or do you use it every time you dry?
The durability of this product is short term enough that I use it every time I towel dry the car. I have noticed no caking at all using it like this. I feel that Bead Maker is one of the top performers in this category for sure. Thanks for watching.
I'm blown away from the gloss and shine. I was Non believer , didn't believe the hype, got it in today. WOW. serious mirror shine. Gonna order cap load of it now.
Great to hear. Thanks for watching
Man I love your vids and funny at the same time ❤
Thanks. I appreciate you following the channel.
Really spot on man, totally agree, same feeling with bead maker. Don’t need to be super durable since I use it as drying aid all the time. It’s look super glossy and slick, and beads like crazy. Only thing I wish is that it wouldn’t attract dust, but no big deal. Price is good, can get it anywhere. Great video 👍
Thanks. I agree. It serves well using it as a drying aid and topper. Thanks for watching.
You have been a great help. And I have purchased many of the items you showcase. I had a couple questions if you could help me out.
Imagine, my car has just been cleaned and detailed. It looks great. I wake up the next morning and a bird took a crap on my hood. What would you recommend to remove stuff like that?
Should I still use beadmaker if my new car has had a ceramic coating put on by the dealer?
Can I use beadmaker on carbon fiber stripes? What do you recommend to protect the carbon fiber stripes.
Sorry for all the questions. I just picked up a new car and want to make sure I do everything as best as possible.
For the spot cleaning of bird crap use a no rinse wash in a spray bottle and soak the area and wipe off. Follow up with beadmaker. Beadmaker works really well as a drying aid on a ceramic coating. Do it after each wash to keep that slickness high and the shine high. It will also help with bird crap removal in the future too. It can be used all over the car on the stripes also. Always do a small test spot to make sure there is no undesired outcome. I can’t imagine there would be but I have to say it. I did a video about the no rinse. Check it out.
Just discovered your channel man. Love the content!
Great to hear. Thanks for watching.
Yeahhh buddy. These vids are looking great 👌
Thanks man. I appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to watch.
I just used this for the first time and I decided to use it as a drying aid. I was floored! I saw it the next day and couldn't believe the shine! This is perfect! Can you put Dream Maker on top of this?
Mix a little in the beadmaker. Put about an ounce in a spray bottle full of beadmaker and it works great. Thanks
@@HawaiiDetailing thanks for that tip!
Yeahhhh 🚙
Yeah. Thanks for watching
Great video! I’m getting my ‘22 Model Y next week and am taking it directly to the detailer for front ppf and total ceramic. Question: Can (or should) I use this product ongoing when I wash my car?
Yes for sure. Its a great drying aid. I spray it on while wet and towel dry. Minimizes scratching and leaves a slick to the touch surface.
So this is like a substitute for a polish/wax application? Nice product man!!
Like a light wax and a drying aid all in one.
My 2022 Lexus LC 500 in Caviar has a ceramic coating . What foaming soap do you recommend? I’ve been using P&S products for years but use McGuire gold for foamer? Love marks 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Half expected to see you wearing a sweater in there
Haha. Yeah. It’s nice and cold in the garage.
Great video, thanks for sharing… I was wondering if you have ever used the Wolfgang Si02 rinseless solution as a drying aid? I understand that product is not the same as Beadmaker, but wondering if both could do similar jobs as drying aids…
I have not tried it. If you do let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching
Hey man great video i have had alot of interest in this product. Have you tried turtle wax flex wax ? What are your thoughts on that product
I did try this Turtle wax product out. Was pretty durable. ua-cam.com/video/3t75qEDo-Sk/v-deo.html
About to use this for the first time on my model 3! Thanks to your recommendation. Would it be ok to also apply it to the wheels?

Hi. Great videos; i love your channel. Does it make sense to use bead maker on a robot pool cleaner ?
Probably not. Not sure that these products will do well with chlorine. thanks for watching
I got a question you say that you take the smaller Beadmaker bottle and refill with they gallon Beadmaker as needed. Do them caps unscrew on every smaller bottle of any product because mine do not unscrew they have a catch on the cap that appears to not let me do that! Do you have to take pliers to turn them? Do you have to squeeze the sides of the cap to get it to turn? Whats the secret guys? There is other products with them caps that i would like to tranfer into larger containers!!
I have not come across that yet. Just turn the cap with some force and they should unscrew off. I do it with most of my products because I like the original bottle look. Thanks for watching.
Sorry if I missed it but any recommendations on the towel after using bead maker? Can we re use towel ? Thanks
ua-cam.com/video/6DelinlTzog/v-deo.html
Check this vid out. Thanks for watching
Nice video, awesome!!! Is it suitable for matte paint?
Have not tried it on matte paint. I do think it will be great on there but not sure if there will be some shine added or not. I do spray it on everything with no problems and haven’t noticed any gloss on areas I did not want. You can use this stuff on everything. Some people use it on interiors etc. Thanks for watching
@@HawaiiDetailing thanks & stay safe
That's an Eagle 500 right? How do you like it, I personally I find them a little to plush since theyre circular knit and so they just fold on themselves and don't quite remove product well compared to twist loops. I now see why Matt from OG doesn't like them I should of just listened to him haha.
I think they work well. I like the plush feel to them. It’s a 2 pass process and it comes right off. That’s my favorite part of this whole scene is it’s all personal preference. I usually only use the Bead maker as a drying aid so I use my microfiber drying towel the majority of the time. I only use these Eagles once in a great while when applying to a dry panel after the blower. Thanks for always watching and commenting.
Auto Fanatic 007 gloss Enhancer is a way better than bead maker. Please try it. You will definately love it. I guarantee
Thanks for the tip.
When you spray beadmaker heavy on first time application then light for the next washes, when do you do the heavy application again like you did on the first application? Or you're not gonna do the heavy application again? Thank you so much!
Go heavy the first time and each wash make sure to use enough to lubricate the paint while you are drying. If you feel spots that need more slickness put more on. If it feels good use less. Hope that helps.
What do you use for maintenance washes? As you said I also don’t wanna build up product on top of product onto my car.
Drying aid. Beadmaker both are great for weekly washes.
I see rupes polisher looks like it will be a good video.
Good eye. That thing is amazing. Will do a review of it soon. Thanks for watching.
Can you use beadmaker on wheels to help protect them from break dust and create hydrophobic properties on them?
Yes. It’s low durability so do it after each wash. Use a more durable product if you want it to last longer. I like beadmaker as a topper coat and a drying aid.
I found this stuff is sticky when you put it on have you ever used megs synthtic spray wax I feel that's alot slicker
I have not. Will give it a look. Thanks.
I’m in brother🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thanks.
I know this is an old video but bead maker offers no protection. It literally comes right off after a second drive in the rain in which is what you want. The only thing is product does is well provide lubrication to the surface when you’re drying your car..
Is this like a ceramic coating? Or do i have to use a ceramic product after i use this? Or is it like a wax product
Or is that stuff i use after i use the bead maker
I use it as a drying lubricant and it adds slickness and gloss. It’s a light durability sealant.
I viewed a post you did with Bead Maker & Absolute mixed together. I am a mobile detailer and want to help eliminate dusting so have you experienced mixing the absolute help with eliminating dusting? Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
It helps but I don’t have huge dust issues here in Hawaii.
Have you tried the Technicians Choice TEC582 Ceramic Detail Spray? I think it a better product maybe you can do a side by side comparison?
Will do soon
géniale comme produit !..
Gonna get it, next time i go to shop
I really like it. It serves my needs well. Thanks for watching.
Awesome! 😎
Thank you.
nice camera angles, with some movements
Thanks. I had a camera person in here with me for about 10 minutes. After that was a solo shoot again as usual. Thanks for watching.
Great video!
Thanks
When you refill the bottle are you diluting it 1 to 1 or just putting it in straight?
Straight.
does this help remove/prevent water spots too?
Prevent- a little. It makes water bead on the surface providing a hydrophobic layer that will help prevent water contamination from adhering to the paint. Remove water spots- definitely not.
Am iI the only one who gets a film on my car a couple days aftes using bead maker? Am I doing somethig wrong? Always applied on a cool surfase and allowed to cure at least 12 hours indoors. Thanks
PS only used about every 6 months on a garage kept weekend crusier.
I’ve use this product it’s awesome but….this product ATTRACT DUST like crazy one thing to consider
Yea it can. Thanks for watching
P&S says it works great as a topper on coating.
When I apply as a drying aid I do not spray on panel I spray on the wet towel and then buff off with another MF towel. So every 2-3 weeks you are not adding just enough that was lost over that two to three weeks and you are not spraying the panel and going crazy.
Thanks for watching and sharing you technique.
What product similar to bead maker do you use now? I just wanna try other similar product with better results maybe? Thanks!
This is my favorite spray topper that I use as a drying aid. Easy to use. Super slick and has some pretty good durability. Try some. bit.ly/326xQNo
Hi, I’m planning on having my new car get a ceramic coating on it. Based on the video, should I still use beadmaker during the drying process?
Yes for sure. It lubricates the paint while you dry. It also helps keep the ceramic in top shape. Use it for sure. Thanks for watching
Hello. I really loved your review. I am a new owner of a black 4 runner. I normally take my cars to the car wash but I never owned a new one so I am trying to take care of this one my self to make the paint last and look beautiful longer. I am having a very hard time when I wash my car to not let water marks on it 😢 I was wondering if you have any advice on that and if this product will help out with that problem .. I try to clean it half and half but always end up having splashes of the opposite side on my panels .. if anyone has any advise will be good received. Thanks !
Try to wash in the shade or just before sunset. Direct sunlight is most of the problem usually. Do you have any form of protection on the paint currently? A ceramic coating is hands down the best protection. It requires a professional paint correction and application. If you do not have or want to apply a ceramic coating I would consider a spray ceramic coating. I made a video about how well these work a few weeks ago. Check that vid out. These are very easy to apply and very affordable. Usually in the $20-$30 range per bottle. They last comfortably about 6 months or so. After that is applied I would use a product like the Beadmaker as a drying aid for each wash. This will reduce surface marring from the drying process. All these steps will seriously reduce water spotting also. I also recommend rinsing the car as often as needed during the process to prevent any water drying on the surface. As your workflow improves you will be able to better manage these steps to prevent the water spots. Look at some of my older how to videos where I am detailing my Tesla. Those steps are the process I use. If you have any other questions let me know. Thanks for watching.
Not a cheap solution but you can look into a water deionizing system. That removes all minerals and dissolved solids from the water and will dry without any water spots whatsoever. Cheers
Bead maker or technicians choice 582 ?
Great question. Both are good.
Would you top turtle wax ceramic up with beadmaker? or is it overkill / productwaste?
I would as I don't want to layer turtle wax that often. I use the beadmaker every time wash as a drying aid.
Hi! Does mixing a lil bit of dream maker to beadmaker will help solve the dusting issues of the beadmaker? Thanks!
It helps some and is definitely worth a try but it seems like vehicles tend to collect dust no matter which product you use.
@@HawaiiDetailing I see. Really impossible to repel dust esp on my area haha 😅 Have you tried or recommend other similar product than bead maker?
I sprayed directly on paint but I may have let some dry too long and now I have spots from the beadmaker. Anyways to remove those?
If the spots are from the bead maker just respray and wipe off. They should come right off. If they are water spots that’s a little different. Thanks for watching
Nice video
Thanks for watching.
I have a question. How would you compare this to the meguiars hybrid ceramic wax?
I have not tried meguiars hybrid ceramic wax. I will look into it. Check out my latest video. I compare 2 of my favorite spray ceramics. Thanks for watching.
Yeahhhh
Yeah. Thanks for watching
If i use beadmaker as a drying aid with my drying towel will it give the towel hydropobic properties and make it dry worse?
Watch this ua-cam.com/video/6DelinlTzog/v-deo.html and there are links in the description or the proper products. Thanks
Can this be used on the headlights, and plastic trim? Also can it be used as a quick detailer for water spots after a wash or is it just a protectant in place of standard wax?
You can use it on just about everything. I would use it as a drying aid and dry quickly to prevent the water spots. Look at this video. ua-cam.com/video/gk1MEO1VPYw/v-deo.html
It keeps you coating refreshed in between washes keeping the beading and slickness and shine at %100. Thanks for following the channel
