Oil catch tank is a great idea on the 308T, but must be mounted LOW in order for the heavy sediment and deposits to easily and reliably flow into the catch tank.
Basically, the prince engine has direct injection, so at the intake valves, it is unlike conventional engines where fuel and air is mixed before entering the chamber thru the valves. the Prince engine has only air coming in thru the intake valves, so no fuel additive can help clean the intake valves. By feeding seafoam it will "clean" the valves which might be clogged up by carbon over pro long usage.
I was thinking of putting a CRC throttle body and Intake cleaner through the air intake from the intercooler (left hand side) that is connected to the throttle body, as its difficult to reach. I could try Seafoam instead as what you did but which hose did you pour it in? There is a hose like that next to the big hose I'm talking about.
I installed an oil catch tank and sealed up some pvc pipes going back to the intake to prevent the oil feeding back to the block via the valves. Idle seems smooth and hopefully by doing so no more carbon build up!
308T has an EGR system which recirculates a little exhaust gase BACK INTO the inlet valves. The dirty exhaust gas + fresh incoming air, can lead to carbon buildup around the inlet valves, leading to "De-Pollution Error". Whatever cleaning chemicals sprayed by the injectors into combustion chamber CANNOT effectively clean the ROOF of the chamber (inlet valve+carbon deposits). Imagine your ceiling fan shooting chemical downwards.....it can't clean your ceiling...ONLY your walls and floor.
Hi.. I'm based in Kuala Lumpur.. thought of getting it in Sgp since hazardous liquids are not allowed to be sent by regular postage. I see.. read a couple of sites and seems that for 308 they mount the oil catch on the diver's side.. I'll be heading to ubi road then to see what's available.. thanks!
Where are u located? u can try Ebay! there's tons! I had to get my friends to hand carry it to singapore they do not ship here. i placed my oil catch tank beside the battery, i had to remove my original air filter box inorder to do that. so i have a forge induction kit.

& it's still all good? *got a 207 and seafoam myself*
@clutchplate so far so good, intake valves i hope is not clogged by carbon!
you had a problem with time?
you noticed any changes ?
Hi.. I'm driving a 308 turbo and intend to do the same.. Question if i may, where can i get the seafoam and where can i install an oil catch tank? Tq
