    Yeah super not oil-free but that's okay. I can't eat oily foods and that's fine, and it's fine that other people eat oily foods. Don't @ folks, just move on! Great video Lisa! ❤❤

    Every time I watch a content creator that isnt you (even outside of vegan food contexts) say some variant of "thank you for watching," my brain immediately autofills "have a delicious day" ... your power Lisa.... your POWER!
    This meal looks so good and so unlike anything my white ass has ever done. It was thrilling to witness something entirely unknown to me transform into the universal language of yum. On account of the "eggs," it also has pseudo-breakfast vibes to warm my hobbit heart. Thank YOU so much for cooking and creating for us. I hope YOU have a delicious day! 💛👊🏼

    Hi Lisa! One of my best friends is viet, and she introduced me to Bot Chien a few years ago in undergrad, and it is one of my favorite foods! I’ve been looking for recipes on how to veganize it for a long time (I’m vegetarian but still like to eat as vegan as I can) and I am so glad I stumbled across this video!!!!
    Also, this same friend recently introduced me to vegan tau hu ky, could you please make a video on how to make that at home?!? Thank you for the wonderful recipes! 🙏

    • @Thevietvegan

    What's wrong with just egg? I thought it was vegan?

    • @Thevietvegan
      @Thevietvegan  4 роки тому +5

      It is plant-based but it can be argued that it's not vegan because some ingredients for it were tested on animals. Also the company has had some incidents where they served JustEgg with meat for a promotional event.

    • @XoxoHaiti
      @XoxoHaiti 4 роки тому +2

      @@Thevietvegan weird, I feel like that's just splitting hairs at that point? Impossible burger wouldn't be vegan at that point. It's not like they're continually testing on them? About the meat thing, like vegans aren't that big of a target audience, they need to appeal to omnis too. VegansTM can be too strict at times, its offputting.

    • @Thevietvegan
      @Thevietvegan  4 роки тому +4

      @@XoxoHaiti i think using animal products for promotion with theirs was kind of unnecessary but I agree that within the US FDA system, the animal testing was one and done and unfortunately just part of the process.

    • @XoxoHaiti
      @XoxoHaiti 4 роки тому +3

      @@Thevietvegan while I agree it was unnecessary, it doesnt make the product not vegan, in my eyes at least. The FDA thing is also not their fault and quite unfortunate. That said I prefer the VeganEgg.

    • @olivia4394
      @olivia4394 4 роки тому +1

      Syd S I think it is important that I point out that Impossible foods did actively decide to do animal testing to speed up the process of their ingredient being on the GRAS list, and it wasn’t a requirement to put the burger on the market, and there were other routes to obtain GRAS that would have taken longer.
