OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY !!!!!! LISA, my DAHHH-ling!!!! I cannot WAIT to try these onigiri....never heard of them before your video.....I just started on a "no flour" eating program (I'm also low-fat vegan for 11 years now!) and this looks like a GREEEAT way to get in some "sandwich" type foods, without using bread. Plus these onigiri look like they could be ENDLESSLY versatile!!!.....I'm also gonna try to AIR-FRY them after I make them, to see if, just for fun, I can make the outside a little browned and "crunchy"....I'll let you know how THAT turns out!.....So THANKS FOR THIS.....Oh, I'm ALSO gonna try them using short-grain BROWN "sticky" rice instead of white, just for more nutrients (even though I ADORE white rice, prefer to eat mostly the brown, just for all that extra nutrition and fiber!)......So THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH DARLIN'.....Lots of love and hugs.....Daryl....PS: Thanks for suggesting Janelle's channel...I watched her first video and subscribed....You're both SOOOO FUNNY!!...XOXO

I saw a video where the person added salt to the water, I think it will save you some time and give you a more even distribution of salt. My favorite filling is umeboshi and though I do like onigiri ,I like inarizushi a bit more because it comes with the seasoned fried bean curd and is less messy to eat.

I live in the epicenter of the outbreak, so I cannot take mass transit to go to my favorite Vietnamese banh mi place (though I will totally 100$ give them all my money when this situation subsides) and I miss eating banh mi. :( :(
I've been trying to be more plant-based and recent bouts of panic-buying has been a great way to really embrace plant-based alternatives because NO ONE'S BUYING the tofu and Fieldroast meats! LOL LOL LOL. I told my husband that we'll be living off of beans, tofu and fieldroast for a while and he's okay with that.
