Thank you Riley. Good stuff. I just installed one and love it so far! I've been on GAIA for 6-7 years now. Also thanks to Vlast and Simon for sharing. iPhone is comfy in my pocket.
I’ve been using it now for several more weeks and I must say I really love this thing. The big screen, which is incredibly bright just makes navigating so much easier. On my phone mounted in the same spot I could never read the text as I was riding and on this it’s so easy.
Looks a good unit Riley , it would be interesting to see how it copes in the rain as some gps screens can suffer with units confusing rain drops with touch.
Excellent video! Thanks for the installation tips as well. I don't have the KTM any longer (replaced with a T7... I know, I know... lol) but any electrical tips help me sort through things. Hmmmm, maybe on the lil Svartpilen 401 and the T7.... I'm interested.
I really like the thing. Just having that big screen with all the phone functionality has been great. We will see how well it holds up to whether and a little abuse. Cheers.
Best review I have seen for the Carpuride product. You should do more product reviews if you have the time and motivation. I would have liked to seen you link to something like your Sena and use voice commands to the iPhone rather than touch screen while you are riding. Is that possible? I do not like the idea of using touch screen once in motion. I am pretty sure my Africa Twin disables the touch screen once moving. I have never tried it as the left handlebar switches work well once used to them. The 702 is an outstanding value and if it can be used with voice commands to the phone, that is a point well worth making. I have a Cardo communicator and in theory, it should work. I have not tried voice commands with it yet. Thanks for all your videos. I am a long time fan but never wrote a comment to you before.
After seeing Nerb's video, I checked if I could use Waze with it. I don't know what app people use to navigate, but I see a lot of people running over curbs and cones. I think Waze uses a lot of information to gather routes.
I just got mine delivered. Sounds like I won’t regret my purchase. I should have started my own UA-cam channel years ago & maybe mine would have been free too 😢
Wow Wow Wow hold on!!! Oh it's a review of a Carpuride 702.. NO it's not only that :D It is the drop that you've got a new Bike! When did that happen? Greetings to Canada
@@Free.Press. In the past I was using my phone on the bike already. The key is mastering the voice commands. I can send and receive texts as well navigate hands free. I also make phone calls hands free. The biggest benefit will be when navigating. The bigger screen should make it safer.
@@Arachnoid_of_the_underverseI have used GPS for years on my bikes but having phone and text notifications etc… along with all the other distractions of Carplay is what I am thinking about.
Yet another video with no reference to the point of Carplay/AA; to be HANDS FREE! Who cares that it does navigation? Your phone and your GPS already does that! How about a video showing HANDS Free making/receiving calls/texts? THATS what sets these apart! Also, which Sena are you using, and how hard was that to pair up, make voice commands, etc? Navigation is all everyone seems to want these things for, even thought that's the most common function out there for any other electronic device. Yeesh!
The Sena pairing was super easy as it was already paired to my iphone so I changed nothing on my 50. All of the Siri hands-free functions work as they would in your car. I'm just in the habit of using my finger to touch the screen to read messages and voice commands to send.
You did a video that is not 3 year old footage? Awesome!
I agree, bang for you buck, you cant go wrong with it.
@@Nerb1 I know, weird. Cheers.
Thanks for the info. Good to see you again , Riley.
@@greghudzik3770 Thanks Greg.
Great job Riley, i want one, wait i dont have a bike anymore, oh well maybe in another life !
It runs off USB, put it on your desk!

Learning GAIA is on my to do list. Thanks for the comment.
A good video,. I have just done a review of this product and I was surprised as to how user friendly it is. Cheers from Australia.

Other guys in a local ride group have had no issues with rain.
Gee! I was thinking about you guys last week!!
Awwwww! Thanks man.

@@pinkiewerewolf We get spoiled pretty quick.
Nice video Riley, as you know I’m not at all techie but I love the readable size as compared to a phone or worse yet a Garmin. Two thumbs up.🏍️🇨🇦
Thanks for the thumbs up!
Nice review. You should do more of them.
That is the plan. I feel like this is a service the community deserves, and I like free stuff.

You can use the voice commands just like CarPlay in my truck. I can just touch the phone button on my Sena to activate Siri. Works well.

Waze seems to work well with CarPlay.

It is never too late!
their support i top notch. can get firmware updates directly from them. just need to be a tad tech savvy to do the update
I should look and see if I’m up to date.
just send them an email with a screenshot of the version info on thie screen. and they respnd very quickly
Looks like a nice unit for touring. The AI of Google is very nice. Garmin and other nav apps don't handle addresses well, in my experience.
Garmin for day-to-day blows or is it sucks? Maybe both.
Almost looks like you know what you're doing. 😂 Nice review, this may be a nice option to have for future travels on the 990 parked in Europe.
Thanks Bill!

Picked up a Norden Expedition in the spring. Loving it.
When I got Carplay in my truck it almost caused me to crash every few weeks. I think this is a bad idea for bikes.
Bikes have had touchscreen gps and music for years without major issues or restrictions.
