    My father was in the Navy in ww2 but his brother was in a b17 (he didn't come back)and my father kept his jacket and when he passed I ended up Whit it but some criminal stole it ,I hope that whatever is that jacket is being appreciated it .

      Joe, I also hope that stolen jacket is being appreciated!? Sorry you had the misfortune to have it stolen, I'm sure you would have treasured it... Do you have any photographs of it? If so some of the A2 experts could probably tell you which manufacturer and what year it was made, if that is of interest to you?

      These jackets are in a museum and are not for sale. Very occasionally you may get an original WW2 A2 for sale, but you can get really good reproductions, just do a search on the net.

      You can get onenof the painted A-2s on ebay for between 1-2K and up depending on the provenance, style and condition of artwork, and unit. Though you habe to tread lighlty as many are faked and some have become quite good at doing so. Sometimes they add.fake provenance saying it belonged to someone who in reality never existed.
