These things were expensive and I assume government property. Yet many crews managed to take them home somehow. I saw an original B3 once at someone's home. It was painted with a huge eagle dropping bombs. Some US airlines allow the pilots to wear an approved A-2 style jacket instead of the pilot's blazer. A lot more practical.
