- So many memorable moments in this performance! The peacock guitarist and Michael hanging off the side of the platform were definitely the highlights!
This particular concert took place on July 16, 1988, at Wembley Stadium in Wembley, London, to a sold-out crowd of 72,000, which included Diana, Princess of Wales and Charles, Prince of Wales

Michael Jackson reaction, First time hearing Beat It in wembley
(3:49) One of Michael's former bodyguards mentioned in an interview that Michael lost 10 to 15 pounds during a concert and that the doctors would get fluids into him after a show.
Damnnnnn! Thats crazy!
@@SephPlays Yes, that's crazy. Costume designer Michael Bush: "We always had 4 - 5 sizes of pants when he changed costumes. He really lost weight on stage and his waist narrowed. That was very normal for us, with most costumes."
@@SephPlayshe also had a bad eating disorder. Becuase he thinks if he does not eat anything or something like that the skinnier the body the better the dancing. But that’s not right. Sometimes he would eat but less or sometimes he would eat Becuase of family time. But when he’s dancing or stressed he does not eat anything. Sometimes he would get sick or collapse Becuase of that. In 2009 when he was in rehearsals before he died he was really skinny that some people were worried.
No one puts on a performance like Michael Joseph Jackson!
He's on a whole other level then all other performers!
Michael Joe Jackson. No Joseph 😹
@@Luvumj2 both is correct....Joe is the shortform of Joseph and he used both forms in official documents over the years
That red leather jacket was a fashion statement that everyone copied. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing it.
10:43 Michael comes up with 90% of the stuff when it comes to his solo tours, particularly these big spectacles but every instrument and vocal is fine tuned to *his* liking. There's literally footage of him coming up with the Smooth Criminal ending in the middle of a rehearsal.
Insanely talented man!!!
just curious, where to find that rehearsal footage?
@@wishie8474 Just look up "Smooth Criminal Pensacola Rehearsal" and it should come up.
His singing was so excellent on this!!! Not to mention the performance and energy! 💥💫
Yess Beat It!! I can never stop talking about his energy, you're right his outfits must have been covered in sweat like damnnn 🔥🔥🔥 amazing reaction!!
He probably had to literally peel his clothes off!
His whole face and neck are glistening with sweat. It’s not just the lighting or the dancing, it’s his costume. He’s wearing long pants, a shirt and the jacket looks rather heavy. With all that heat wearing those clothes we would sweat till major dehydration. He’s got to have water off stage for his well being.
back then they had no internet no auto-tune no nothing but they were doing everything this is called hard work. this is natural talent
Luis Miguel Also has natural talent for singing 🎤
The thriller jacket is the one sold for 1.8 million and it actually worth it its the original Jacket Michael wore in the video .. what you will think if you knew that Michael piece of hair sold as well I can't remember for how much 😂 beat it performance just mesmerizing everything you could think of to have a complete performance is here ❤ thank you seph for the wonderful reaction ❤❤
Michael is so mesmerizing 😍 he is the only artist that leaves me glued to the screen watching every movement lol, you're always so fun to watch!
You never know what he's gonna do next. If you look away for like 3 seconds you are 100% going to miss something 😂
@@SephPlaystrue lol he is full of surprises!
And yes mj puts almost all of it together people who where on tour with him said he knew exactly what he wants and he’ll tell you but in such a nice and respectful manner
In my opinion I think performance wise this was definitely his peak, now when it comes to albums I can't choose between Dangerous and Bad lol can't wait for you to get there!! But here he was really energetic and looked good physically and pshychologically, here his lupus and his health still wasn't that bad but after the 1993 allegations it all really started to get to him... but he was ALWAYS great! Even in pain he gave his all! That's admirable
That's why I love the Bad Tour. A happy Michael. I miss his smile in later concerts. There is a sadness in him. Maybe that's why I love the concert in Argentina from the Dangerous Tour. In this concert he seems happier.
@@e.s.7272 agreed, from then on there was always a sadness in his eyes 😞
I feel it’s his prime performance wise but MJ always was peaking he did better than this on later tours and mastered it by Dangerous World Tour/Era
Love your reactions Michael Jackson’s is amazing ain’t he 👍🏿💯😏
Amazing is an understatement haha 😍
I know we are far from the end of the music and concert journey with Michael but when you do get there and you watch This Is It rehearsals find a copy of the movie and watch it that way becomes the clips on UA-cam cut out things I think you’ll like to see
Loveddd this reaction Seph! Cant wait for the next one🔥 Its one of the best performances he's ever done of "that song". And yeah, thats the beginning of all his Beat It performances lool, its really dangerous, if he had fallen he would have fallen on the audience haha🔥
Omg i didn't know he was above the freakin crowd!?????
The audience would have torn him to pieces. ;-) In 1997, however, he does this "madness" (and more) during another song, which I won't reveal here.
Good morning Alex 🌹🌹🌹
Sorry, i commented back a bit late as i was studying, did u read it ?
@@esraa-elgezawy2001 Good morning esraa, yeah i read it yesterday but I forgot to reply haha. How's your exam going?
@@AlexSR__ better than before i guess .. thanks for asking 🥰
(11:02) Sorry Seph but I wrote under a comment that Michael was mainly responsible for the choreography and stage setting. He was assisted in the choreography by Vincent Paterson, who was the dancer with the black jacket in Beat It and choreographer for Smooth Criminal.
you know it is like if you have not seen Michael Jackson shows or music or dance then you have seen nothing in life if you are a lover of music and dance and entertainment... micael put everything by himself on stage even though he does not need any backup dancers he could control the whole stage by himself... he was doing everything in his era which is not we can see nowadays artists .now days they have so many technologies but they are doing nothing and michael jackson was doing everything together singing, dancing, stunt, acting, performance, drama, etc in just one live performance that is called a complete package of entertainment... no one has energy like him today. it is hard to beat or surpass Michael Jackson.
Regarding how the shows are put together… I honestly can’t answer that question. Best suggestion I have for you is wait until you get to the end of his discography and watch Michael Jackson’s This Is It. That film will show you how a show was put together and how involved Michael Jackson himself was in the process. I honestly can’t wait until you get to that point. Your reactions are great.
Да это Майкл 🎉🎉🎉 вы что, его раньше не видели?!😂❤❤❤
Never this good i haven't haha 😅
I loove the guitaristt!! Did you know that the Bad Tour was almost his last tour?? It was even on the news at the time, the tour was very long and it lasted for almost 2 years (1987-1989), 123 shows, it was exhausting, then he came out with Dangerous in 1991, he said he really didn't like to tour but he did it for the fans cause he loved to connect with them, another reason why was to raise money for his "Heal The World Foundation", all the proceeds from his concerts were given to charity! :) thought it would be a nice information!
I honestly didn't know this! That would have been sad if he called it a day here!
@@SephPlaysHe also did a tour for his HIStory album in the mid to late 90s. That turned out to be his last tour, because he never got to do the This Is It tour.
It was actually 3 years but yea you know Michael "I lOvE tO tOuR" 😂😂
@ebonaparte3853 dont forget Dangerous Tour!!!
I want to do a little promotion for a song by Michael that is totally underrated and gets little attention. It's called "Be Not Always" and is a beautiful ballad by Michael. It was released in 1984 on the Victory album. Written and produced by Michael. Although it is effectively a solo cut by Michael, it featured on the Jacksons' album. It's really worth listen to it.
Thank you so much Seph ❤❤ don't forget, the last 3 songs are from different concerts (from 1987) so you don't need to react to them, there is only 3 more songs left and then the show ends (sadly 😭😭), around 1 hour and 58 minutes mark, so are you enjoying it?? Honestly I wish it wouldn't end, I could watch it forever haha 😂😂
Thanks for doing MJ ❤🎉😊
I laugh and cry at the same time...He was so extraordinary...and MAGIC...Thank you Michael...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY...I LOVE YOU.
There's performances of Earth Song where Michael hangs completely off the cherry picker, only holding onto the rail before pulling himself back up.
Michael was really a daredevil. That cherry picker is suspended over the crowd, i doubt the fans would let him hit the ground if he fell, but then itd orobably also be a mob hed have to find his way out of.
Alternative lyrics he sings are often part of an earlier demo. He often made so many demos for these songs but maybe he forgot what take ended up on the album, or preferred another one that didn't, who knows. He wrote the song, therefore he has whatever artistic license he wants to change it. Lol
I think he also just simply liked to add little things in the moment lol just feeling the song like he says :) not necessarily thinking or singing any demos lol
@@luana45393 concert after concert, many of the changes he makes are the same, especially with the way he starts beat it. There was potentially a whole alternative version if beat it but there was an incident that nearly destroyed the whole track. They had to rebuild it from the bleed through on Michaels vocals. It's possible the other version was different.
The biggest❤👑
Mike hung over the crowd at every show when he did Beat It. He knew the crowd would get him.😏😏
He always does that when he’s on a flying platform called “the Cherry picker” he does that on a Cherry picker from probably 1987 to 1997
"What the heck is he doing?" Then you shouldn't miss the 1997 concert in Munich on your "Michael discovery tour". It goes even "better". This is just a small foretaste.
Im looking forward to seeing it 😍
Nice reaction seph ❤
My phone give me the notification of this video in the middle of the exam haha , if the sound was a bit louder i would have been quited 😂😂😂
Any way .....
About your question, yeah Michael arranged this tour and the dangerous tour also in terms of choreography, lighting and direction and the next tour also . He was genius ❤❤❤
aaaaand , prepare yourself for the next performance🔥🔥... i love it
Try to upload it in afternoon not to be fired in tomorrow's exam hahaha
You should react to Michael more than once a day ❤❤❤
If you're looking for more concert recommendations before the next album, I would recommend the jacksons victory tour toronto during the thriller era and the bad tour yokohama 1987 which has a different set list to the second leg your reacting too.
At 1:07 if you watch Earth Dong live on the History World Tour in 1997 you find he does the same thing on the crane but he doesn't have his feet on there still those are hanging too
I recommend reacting to Molly Meldrum interview with Michael Jackson, it’s during the bad area
1:29 "you wouldve had splat Michael Jackson on the stage" 😂😂 he was actually hanging over the crowd so they wouldve caught him 😂
I love your energy in the reacting man. Thanks for this!
The dangling from the Cherry Picker is so dangerous 😂🔥But I read somewhere he simply liked well, dangling from heights. There’s some pics of him sitting on the ledge of buildings. 🤷🏼♀️ I mean I totally get it, I’m the same. Like a cat - looking down is satisfying.
Will you be doing the songs that aren’t in the Wembley set but appear on earlier dates? Like Lovely One and Shake Your Body?
I would have thought so 😊
He will react to the "Shake Your Body" performance of Yokohama 1987 :D
@@SephPlays Do you miss Lovely One Seph?😂 How many times have you listened to it since you did the reaction?😂
@@AlexSR__ 😂 but the Bad Tour version is so much better, I hope he likes it more 🤞🏻
He lost 8-10 lbs in water weight on stage so they had pants with different waist sizes for him to Change into
Correcting my comment in the previous video: I was told that the correct term would be "playback" and not "lyp sinc", with regard to the upcoming tours in which he starts not singing live. I am not an expert who can differentiate these terms. Maybe you can do that when you react. The point is: MJ could sing live very well as you're seeing on this Bad tour. When he didn't sing live on the Dangerous and History tour, it was because he was having health problems.
first comment :) good video
1:39 he did crazier at his 1997 Munich concert for Earth Song.
What happened to the shorts Seph?
Copyright takedowns GAAAAHHHHHH!
Seph i wanna ask you something, can i resend you the Bad Era list? I'd like to add some other vidoes that i think are very good to watch, i didnt think about these videos earlier. Dont worry, i'll add things that are after the videos you watched till now so it will not confuse you🔥
Yeah ok sounds good to me 😊
@@SephPlays Thanks a lot Seph🙏
Seph I've just resent you the Bad Era list, check the spam folder if you dont see it hahah🔥
I'll have a look now 😍
@@SephPlays Did you get it?
Its not even in my spam folder this time?
@@SephPlays Check every folder haha, its not even in the main one?
