Hey Mark, I’ve been following Gav from WeatherVids as well as you, and I noticed he’s using Met Office figures for the CET, showing average or above-average temperatures For summer. Honestly, I’m struggling to believe this, especially considering the summer we had. Your figures seem more accurate to me. For instance, the CET is showing 17°C for August (met office data) but here in Snowdonia, we barely hit that mark! It makes me question the reliability of the Met Office data. Could you shed some light on the discrepancy?
@@enduromxhumph____ I personally prefer looking at the UK as a whole. I always refer to CDAS and then wait for MO to confirm the actual UK avg. It's likely to be slightly cooler than average with regional variation. CET more often warmer buts doesn't take into account UK as a whole.
@@MarkVoganWeather when I saw The CET figures my brain was shouting “conspiracy” 😂. Especially after it was widely reported to be the coolest summer since 2016. Keep up the good work mark. Your forecasting is on point. 👍👍
And today the last coal powered power station is being switched off. Get them generators ready people
Good, but it's too little too late I'm afraid.
Problem with CET is its an average for the country but there are regional differences. Keep up the good work Mark.
Yea I always feel like the CET doesn’t really tell me much for us in Northern Ireland, as we’re not even on the same island lol
CET doesn't even cover my area of England, it's a dreadful measure
Thanks Mark ❤
Thanks Mark. I feel a bitterly cold winter coming. We have not seen a large cold shift in weather for a very long time.
Morning Mark.
Great update as always Mark

July and August were average. In July and a little above average in the Leicester area.
I guess it all depends where you place your thermometer., I understand NW Scotland has been horrendous all summer.
@@thewhitbyphotographerbad summer here in Northern Ireland too
We have had over 40 mm in Rowley Regis West Midlands since Sunday evening and it's still raining now
Good evening Mark hope the family are all well?
Folks in Roanoke were badly affected
I didn’t realise that the 1961-1990 CET average was colder than the 1930-1960 CET average. Was this due to NAO / OA patterns at the time?
ECMWF has now done u-turn mild ish and wet first part october
