Not as Awesome as you! 😂 Anything for you... I had a bake sale this past weekend of just Whoopie pies and cinnamon rolls and brought home almost $600! Oh I did sell three loaves of because I got encouragement from you! Also got a neighbor lady wanting me bake for her on a regular basis!
As many times as we have talked about this soup, I never thought of all the practical applications like using this method for all cream soups including those used in a larger recipe. Genius!!! 😊🥰👍
Ladies that owned a small restaurant where I live told me how to make their homemade mushroom soup and I make it all the time. They closed the restaurant and the one passed away. She reminded me of the show Hazel of the maid in it.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I followed your directions, but took some of your recommendations and added ham and carrots to ours. I also used canned potatoes I bought from the grocery store. We also added cheese on top.. Let me tell you, this is the best soup I have ever made. My son said tye same thing your Matt said. It was almost like a baked potatoes soup. Thank you again. Also, know you and your family are still in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you
I have a can of corn sitting on my kitchen counter for a week now because I forgot to add it to a stew I made. And you have just given me the most wonderful idea for a corn chowder for my lunch tomorrow. THANK YOU! Sending y'all blessings and love.
That’s awesome just made a big pot for my hubby and I,, and believe it or not ate it for lunch and diner and then hubby says this morning,” you have any of the soup you made..”. So guess what had potato soup for breakfast.... 🤗lol ..seems even better he next day...awesome video,, just love watching while making my super.. Sunday bless to you and family
A true cook.... never measure, just use the suggestion of the measurements. You simply never know how your weather/atmosphere will cause your measurements are affected. I believe a recipe is your road map from which you can always take the other road! Thanks for your expertise!!!
I'm new to your videos. All I can say is you r a God send to me. I used to love to bake bread, have not done it in years. Thanks to u I have found my passion again. Thank you so much.
Hi Heather, good to see you. Hope your beautiful family are all well. This is such a fantastic soup. Great if you have home canned potatoes. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us take care. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
I just have to say that I'm loving all the new canning videos. I've canned potatoes for years and have to laugh because this GENIUS!! Haha I never thought to make soup with them! Fried, roasted or in potato salad but never soup. You are brilliant Heather and thank you to the lady that inspired this video !!
I use my can potatoes for quick-to-the-table Texas potato salad, potato soup, pan fried with bacon and onions. Love your recipe for your cream sauce and the ability to add any veggie you want to make into a cream soup.
Perfect timing ... I planted Yukon Gold late (July 12th) and just dug them. Never canned potatoes but am doing 48 quarts..... so will try this ....thanks !!!
Well now I've got to make this; just canned some taters... I made some crusty rolls you shared a few years ago; my husband fell in love with them.... May make bread bowls with this soup!!! I know; overload on carbs; but this fall weather is sneaking in fast, have to start making some fall foods!! Thank you!!
I made mine today using my pressure canned potatoes. I used evaporated milk & water as a substitute for milk and it was still so delicious topped with grated cheese & bacon. Thanks
I made this, added some bacon bits and corn, didn't use heavy cream, and (try not to pass out) used store canned diced potatoes because I have several cans that are going to expire soon. It was pretty darn good.
Oh, we love potato soup! It is the ultimate comfort food on a cold day. We made it this year from our potatoes directly from the garden so we have a lot of jars of chunk potatoes and a bunch of ready-made potato soup. I love cheese on mine, too. Yummmmmmmm! ~Cynthia
Hi Heather! I just made your potato soup. Added some cheese and Italian seasoning. Threw it on top of my dehydrated scalloped potatoes and into the oven. It taste awesomely delicious! My little ones just gobbled it all up. Made with some bbq canned chicken.
Omgosh, I just made mine on Saturday! Cream of Potato soup is frikkin Awesome. I will also garnish mine with cheese and or croutons. I Love this. Thank's for sharing Heather. Much Love and Blessings to you and your family and everyone here. 💜💜💜💜 Oh I Love putting heavy whipping cream in mine. 😂
I love a potato soup in all its forms. I make a potato and leek, ham and potato, bacon potato and cheese, and potato and fish chowder. All are yummy, but potatoes are my favorite veggie tied only with peas. :P
We add bacon or ham to ours. I'm in a house full of cheese lovers and they must have the cheese in theirs. I also make a fake (imitation) crab, potato and corn soup the same way. Kids and my husband tear it apart every time.
Amazon just delivered my Brown sugar bear today! I decided that I'm going to make my own Brown sugar for the 1st time ever. I went to Publix today To buy molasses. I told the stock boy that I needed one that was "unsulferd "like you said but you didn't say why so when the stock kid asked me what the difference was I just rolled my eyes Like I couldn't believe he would ask such a stupid question.🤣
😆😆😆😆 thats awesome!!! Sulfered comes from sugar cane that hasn't fully matured. Unsulfered is from mature sugar cane. so it doesnt need to be treated. 🥰 take that stock boy!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol! A minimum wage, teenager, who stocks shelves is not going to understand unsulfered molasses. Be sweet and gently teach him something new. You never know; he could become a chef or go to school for food science one day!
I haven't canned potatoes yet due to being low on jars but they are definetly on my list. You could also use a immersion blender to this if you don't care for chunks of potatoes. I prefer chunks myself but it could be done! I don't know why I never thought of making a quick potato soup out them! Yummmm!!!
Thank you, Heather! I was looking at all the jars of my canned potatoes with a big question mark of how in the world am I going to use them ... voila ... Heather came to the rescue.
Your making me hungry... I like to use fresh Rosemary with some corn & carrots. The Rosemary gives a great smell & taste. I really like how you make the base. Thx
Looks so good. I have home canned potatoes too! Think I will do this this week. We’re getting a cold front here in North Texas it’s going to drop down to a whopping 70 degrees. Lol I am sure you’re laughing Heather. Lol God bless!

Thank you Heather , I canned my potatoes the same way today, russets were on sale for a dollar for 5 pounds at my store, so I will be canning more this week. Thanks again.
@@TheKneadyHomesteader hubby and went to Lowes today and got the shelves you showed in your pantry video, I will post a pic on Instagram, anyways good idea to do this because by the time I rounded up all by canned items from everywhere in my house I counted 35 cans of ugly chicken..lol..and not enough beef.
Oh my that looks amazing! I canned up quite a bit of Yukon’s and reds earlier this year when I was just starting out pressure canning. I’ve since learned I should peel the potatoes......so I haven’t even opened a jar yet! We always eat peel so I figured it would be fine...and probably is. Gonna have to do some your way!
