It's in my current 11.00 lineup and I got it prior to the pantsir being added, it was quite insane how agile that missle was. On top of that the radar was snappy, quick, and responsive. Once the pantsir it felt like a whole different vehicle.
They hard nerfed the Tunguska. I used to love playing it but in a classic Gaijin move when the players were like "Russia doesn't need a new AA the Tunguska is really strong" they doubled down and said "are you sure about that?"
I just want them to randomly buff other vehicles like that. Imagine making the ADAT both SPAAs and TDs, meaning you can spawn it twice in a match (one with SPAA cost and one with TD cost of course).

SAMs got nerfed in general, especially with the missiles. And yeah, Rolands were nerfed especially. They have 20G overload limit compared to Tunguska's missile, but they manouver terribly, by far the worst guided SAMs in the game right now.

I rushed down the tech tree to get the 2s6 because it was good and fun to play, now. I dont even want to bring it out. like ever. I am all for balancing, but gaijin doesnt know how to balance things properly, they just nerf hammer things.
Video on the Stormer HVM perhaps? Damage is still questionable but it is probably one of the easiest to control missiles now and is the bane of all helicopters lmao
@@darugdawg2453 Flares don't work against the stormers starstreak missiles because the starstreak missiles don't use heatseeking warhead, you always being killed by them is just bad luck.
Best against helicopters, unlike the Pantsir, his missiles does not swing, the radar and IRIST are not captured on missiles, flares, chaffs. the radar lock does not twitch and does not go into the ground. although sometimes they destroy me with 3 hits on the Mi 28, because of the armor.
Gaijin really need to dial down the SACLOS guidance delay, I get that its for realism but now its hard to hit manuevering aircraft unlike before which in turn increases the CAS presence and ruinung the GRB even more
I had some much fun a few years ago exclusively playing the Tunguska and shutting down the skies. Old IRST with range measurements plus the old missiles meant I could kill consistently at 10km, almost every time. It was ine of my favorite vehicles :(

I think the Strela just comes in more handy. It never fails to take out jets that dare come too close, mainly because the missile can pull 20 Gs and most jets don't flare when too close because they are focused on their target or just avoiding the ground. You are still lacking against helicopters and +5 km aircraft + the guns but you can't have everything I guess.
I got this thing yesterday and I get destroyed by most things because either the missle goes miles off target or I do 0 dmg. I mean I played it only a couple of times and lost agains uav's because I hit them and only dmg their landing gear. It is so frustrating especially with only 8km at the beginning
2:32 Guarantee whether they made it's stats match irl or not they nerfed it to stretch that stick the carrot is on that much further down the tree to the pantsir to motivate people to keep grinding or even use GE to CRP the pantsir.
That radar thing, where it doesn't go down, seems to apply to all radar SPAA right now. I've heard it happening with the Gepard, and more painfully, with my ZA-35. That thing is like 20ft tall and you can't see anything with it up!

Well if you spend 1 sec looking at the vehicles you would see that it's all premiums. which almost certainly means that these players have no other vehicles to bring out.
A lot of times too tier games are decided on the first 5 minutes, after that it's either your team is stomping, or the enemy has taken all of the points overlooking your spawn exits.
The teams folding hardcore in 30 seconds at high/top tier is a serious problem rn they need to punish people who just one and done because it's making top tier grinding nearly impossible anymore

When the pantsir came out the 2S6 had a almost 2sec delay from when you fired a missile to follow your cursor, it became less responsive and delayed in following your cursor. I couldn’t even kill a heli from 1km out. It’s better now but not what it used to be.
Fun fact by the 30mm Guns that are not 4 Guns that are 2 Guns with 2 Barrels and that is copied from a German System called Gast System from Karl Gast who devolped this System during WW1.

I tend to use radar against A-10s and the likes and put my crosshairs squarely on top of them. Shot down every time at 12k if they are heading for me and up to like 6km if peripendicular. Is this something that has been improved since this video was made or is it just a different way of playing it?

I'd like to see a top tier gamemode where smart weapons for aircraft and mouse guided missile SPAA are banned but not the aircraft themselves, that'll give the players that enjoy CAS to keep CASing and tanks on the ground don't have to worry about guided munitions coming from space. And yes, one could just play at a lower BR, but I love the top tier vehicles and that could be a good middle ground for top tier.
When it was first nerfed i tested it out in costom matches and its rader fet finicky. Had my friend do a barrel roll and i lost lock somehow, he was five kilometers out in open air with no obstacles coming straight at me. Second thing i noticed was locking on to guide the missile was worse off. Especially when the plane is flying across your firing line. The proxi fuse seems to be worse now and either this was a bug or bad proxi but it would look like the missile would go right through the plane. I even had a hard time with lower br planes. Without rader or irst lock its better but it just feels so bad to use now which makes me sad because i really like this vehicle
China has the best anti-air lineup in my opinion, from 8.3-12.0 I can easily jump into a vehicle and kill the CAS that just killed me. PGZ's, TY-90 heli's from 9.7, Tor M1, J8f, F-16MLU. If im playing China anti-cas is fun. That is why imo there is a big gap between 9.3 and 11.7 for China AA because the TY-90 fills the gap.
Although we need to fill that gap, rn helis are too hard to grind and I don't want to buy a z-19 just to grind it out. Hopefully they add the thing where you can grind helis with tanks
Also pgz09 extremely underrated, good guns and thermals and speed only downside being the -2 depression. And pgz04 and pgz09 should switch places, give missiles to pgz09 and call it that, insane that pgz09 is literally better in everyway yet sits lower

The roland now is totally unplayable, a sea vixen evaded a roland 3 with a slight turn and the smoke generator in the back doesn't help too, i've suggested realistic auto-lead mechanics for all vehicles that have it (ito, adats, tunguska, roland2/3, stormer, flarakrad) it could be a researchable modification. The auto-lead could require radar lock or laser designator range. It would encourage pilots to fly more carefully 10.0 and up, more widespread auto-lead mechanics could also create a great reason to add ARM's. What do you think?
When they were adding the Pansir, they said that it's because the 2S6 was too weak. Everyone argued that it's not bad, and Pansir isn't needed. So Gajijn doubled down and just nerfed the 2S6 so the reality fits their opinion lol. This is always been the case. You can leave russia, but russia won't ever leave you. And thus, we end up with those eastern methods of balancing the game lol.

Gaijin deffo did it dirty... at this point its no better than 10.3 SAMs Problem is to nerf the pantsir they nered tungi too. Which was not neccessary. All of these missile changes was to nerf mainly 2 vehicles, that did the job but they still are powerfull. Ka52 and Pantsir are still powerhouse machines, just not as easy to use anymore.

Realism is good until it hurts gameplay it is a balance thing that needs to be fixed. All aa has suffered because of this change, and it's not cool

yeah the jitter of the all SAM missiles is really only felt in real matches, if you try it in test drive that goes away almost entirely.

The Tunguska was one of my favourite tanks to play, I would use it like a falcon and hunt tanks since the AAMs were basically giant HE shells

I love how my 9.7 no thermal 1.98mi missile using heli is constantly up against this thing, they really need to change how brs are set up.
The lines on the radar are 5/10/15/20km so the irst missing range doesn't matter. Also they broke the Gepard radar dish too.

XM1069 is also very bad, especially the SP. Killing tank has never been so much more frustrating. You cant really aim for the first 100 meters or so.
Looking at your russian line, i can see that you have lots of tanks from different BRs. 10.0 tabks lined up with 10.7 tanks. At top tier, this differences doesn't make differece? At lower tiers, this 0.7 BR difference makes a hell of a difference, so that's why i'm asking.

Problem is to nerf the pantsir they nered tungi too. Which was not neccessary. All of these missile changes was to nerf mainly 2 vehicles, that did the job but they still are powerfull. Ka52 and Pantsir are still powerhouse machines, just not as easy to use anymore.
