    How to do wire repairs:
    • How do I repair damage...
    Hi
This car came to me with the issue that would crank for too long before start.
A quick scan and look at the live data, pointed me into the right direction.
Funny enough, not long ago I had a similar problem, and the issue was pretty much in the same place!
Video here: • Volkswagen Golf 1.9TDI...
Follow me on this video to find out what was the cause for this long cranking!
I had to adjust the torsion, as I have recorded this in the past, I haven't done it on this video.
Video to how to adjust the torsion here: • Volkswagen Golf 1.9TDI...
    Hope you enjoy the video.
Any questions or comments, please put them below.

Great work on finding the severed wires. I remember your grief with that golf (although that was just the one signal return wire if my memory serves me correctly). Obviously a common issue with the wiring on these VWs. Proves confirming the wiring is good is worth the effort before swapping out parts. Nice work as usual, enjoyed watching that and the airbag video! Thanks :)

Hi buddy I have the code 16725 which is implausible on the camshaft sensor
    Have changed the sensor
Checked wires and even temporarily by passed them with new wires right at the ecu plug
    Refurbish the tandem pump
But the code for 16725 won’t delete and even adjusted the timing to 0.5 on VCDS
Any suggestions buddy driving me mad hard to start the van but once started is all good and if the camshaft sensor is diss connected is a little easier to start

I have a fabia 1.9 SDI, it starts perfect every time, however sounds like it's running on 3 and rough. Set off it's fine but once the temperature outside gets above 15 c it cuts out, starts straight away but will not go from rev range to hold on idle? Changed fuel temp sensor still same any ideas?

Hi there. Wondered of you thought my problem is camshaft sensor issue.
Car starts no problem in the morning. If i stop after 20 min drive once its warmed up i have veey long crank, maybe 2 or 3 times to start again.
As a test i delted the code for cam position sensor in the morning. Then start car i then check measuring block 51/2 and can see reading from sensor. Then when i get to work switch off the car and try and start, long crank. I then go to 51/2 once i get it satrted again afyer the long crank and check but there os no reading from the sensor.
Torsion value is not reading either when i hot and checking the value but 0.5 when i can see the value on the torsion.
Checked pins from connecter of sensor with ignition on and im getting 5v on 2 pins and zero on the ground pin.
Do you think my sensor is breaking down when its hot ?
Sorry about the long reply. My car is 2.0 audi b7 tdi brd code .
Thanks for any help you may give.

@@LMAutoRepairs Thanks to your diagnosis I did the same so it's been a great help. Thanks!I just wanted a 2nd opinion. What is annoying is I only did the cambelt and tensioner a few months ago. Now I have to do it all again to get to the sensor. It's not as easy to change the sensor as like on the 1.9 as my car has 2 cams so have to take the belt off again 😭
Have a great weekend 👍 and thanks again.

Cut and repair and everything is now back working as expected! Ffs a small wire like that could cause such a goose chase! Brilliant LM Autos, your video helped me massively! 👍

      Hi
The thing is that the circuit was not yet completely open... as you can see later on the video...ence the low voltage reading...

    • @GTS-Tuning
      @GTS-Tuning 6 років тому

so does that mean if you have a bad connection or almost broken wire, it can still deliver some voltage but register as an open circuit when checking for continuity ? thanks your channel is very cool!

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  6 років тому +1

      Gawrisan Chandrakumar
Kind off... you might be able to read some voltage across the circuit... but the resistance is too high to allow a voltage increase and/or support higher current/load...
