out of 65 bikes I have owned over 62 years riding this is the absolute best I could ever imagine , nothing about it is at all a problem ever, a joy to own , at 77 I believe I will have this until ..........

I've had my '22 rs since Jan. and love it.
Never had a problem fitting the pillion seat/cowl.
Absolutely hate the tacho (like everybody) I see Triumph have up graded the bike for '23, but left the same stupid, illegible tacho.
I like that the pillion peg hanger bolts are hidden, I don't want it to look like there's something missing when they're not fitted.

I just got my 22 Street Triple RS a few weeks ago and pretty much agree with everything you said. I haven't had any issues with the seat though. I do wish the heated grips were standard or cheaper, $300 is way too much.

Was prepared to hear some true niggles, I got giggle. This is the world's most perfect bike. 75 riding 60 years 60+ bikes owned multiple others ridden and yes nothing could be better.

No issues with my 2022 RS seat/cowl opening or change. Once the connector is aligned correctly it just clicks into place. Had a little trouble for the first couple of times, after that it’s easy peasy.
The only gripe I have is the software on the TFT, all the styles are rubbish. Wish Triumph would give us a software update - change the style to something new or revert to the earlier pre 2020 style.
    Cheers

My seat is clicking in ok now and seat cowl is a breeze. TFT is appalling. Wish they hadn’t bothered or just asked BMW for theirs

@@reddevil0074 I find the TFT on the BMW’s the best too. Really wish Triumph would push a software patch through.
I hate the TFT on the new Speed and the Tiger 1200’s too (it’s the same). Too much space wasted on the display and graphics are crap as well.

I just bought a 2021 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS, not because I couldn't afford a 2022, but because Triumph only offers Flat Black and Silver with Tiger Stripes with a large "RS" sticker on the tank. Maybe Triumph planing department has been looking at Aprilia's motorcycles too much... So I purchased a new 2021 Silver Ice Triumph Street Triple 765 RS left over from last year inventory, (I love the way it looks) now that I've gotten that off my chest. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT THE DIGITAL GAUGES ARE TERRIBLE on this bike and that's being really nice about it. Whoever designed them should be fired and whoever approved their use on the bike should be canned as well. What the hell guys, even with 20 year old eyes can't read these gauges while riding the bike, trying to make out what's happening on the dash at any speed is DANGEROUS - "Way To Distracting" Try reading these gauges with eyes that are over 60 years old! Forget it! I currently own the 2020 Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro which has the same poorly thought out gauge setup, but on a bit larger screen, like that's supposed to make it better. I've owned a 2013 Triumph Street Triple 675 R in the past and the gauges were fine on that bike. I've even looked at the 2019 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS and thought that the gauges are fine on that model and at least you can use the Tachometer on that setup. The gauges "Newly Updated 2020 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS" are a DISASTER. How they got into production is really puzzling, there has to been thousands of eyes looking at this setup before they decided to go with it. You Brit's have a saying "Too Smart by Half" well that describes the design of the digital gauges on the 2020 -> Triumph Street Triple 765 RS.

I've got a 22 model as well. For me I wish there were symmetric running lights. The mirrors are always blurry at highways speeds due to vibrations.

    • @reddevil0074
      @reddevil0074  Рік тому

The running lights don’t bother me as I never see them. Agree on mirrors although it tends to be one more than the other. Apart from that hope you enjoy your bike as much as I enjoy mine

I recently purchased my 2022 Street Triple RS. I have owned a 2009 Street Triple 675 R, 2015 Street Triple 675 R and an MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR, all of which were fantastic bikes. I agree with your comments and have a few to add of my own.
IMO, Triumph has tried to produce two bikes in one, an as a result has blurred the focus of it's purpose. Is this a track bike or a street bike?? Perhaps a RS track focused version an a RR street focused version would yield the right bike for the right buyer. I'm a street rider, so more mid-range power, and IMU and semi active suspension would be nice. I don't need "track" mode, rain, rider, sport and custom would be fine. I hate the cyclopes headlight design and would like to be able to flash my hi-beams. Probably one of my biggest complaints is Triumph does not supply all the torque values to change the tires or brake pads.

I have the new 2022 R . More Road focused for the streets. Had a dyno done and a reflash now has the power of the RS actually a couple more hp. All for $300 dollar's. The rosso 111 are better for the roads and the wet weather. Why spend all that money on a rs when a r is a road bike.
