    Thank you for this video on how to work the corners. I'm LOVING this joining stitch. It really does work on a multitude of stitches. I have a blanket I'm making that has strips using 5 different stitches and it is working beautifully.

      Teresa Martin it worked so well with the granny square blanket I made my daughter... I just had to share! Thanks Teresa! 😃

    This is the best stitch, that is really hidden! Thank you so much!

    I absolutely love this way of connecting granny squares! Especially for when the squares don't have matching colors!! I used this to make a granny square purse. Tips for the future.. bright yarns show up better on camera, and make sure that you are zoomed out more so you all the work you are doing shows on the camera. I enjoyed the "Colleen long fashion" though! Great job.

    I have used this invisible stich before but this corner circle is different. Definitely better than what I was doing.

    If my squares have chain 3 corners, should I start the joining in the stitch beside the middle chain of the chain 3?

    What do you do with the tails of the yarn you are sewing with?

    Ok so I get how to join 2 together. What about the 3rd and 4th? Just join 2 more and then join them to make 4? Sorry if im being comfusing but I'm confused!

      Yes, you will just continue connecting as you would any other granny square project. The only difference with this method is the method itself of stitching the squares together. =)

    Hello Colleen! Thank you for your video. Question? If I’m putting together a small blanket, could I join the squares in sets of four at the middle first and then go up the rows one way and then the other to make the blanket? If not, what is the order that you join your squares when making a blanket? Thanks again!

    how would you continue on to the next block if you were attaching in rows and not a square like you are doing here?

    Better way to ask: how do i connect 4 grannys together so that i can do the last 4 center corners?

      I'm sorry Pat, please feel free to follow up with me via email if you need further help on this, yarnwars@gmail.com .. I didn't realize it wasn't showing. I'll have to go back through and see where I might improve on the video. Thanks for your feedback!

    This is fantastic thank you!
    You mentioned you steamed your work, how do you do that? My blanket is looking a bit bumpy and I was wondering how to get it to lay flat

    • @chaysiecrochet
      @chaysiecrochet  7 років тому

      Thanks so much Az! I basically just worked it over my ironing board if you can believe that... and my blanket was big! So I went section by section. The blanket I made was acrylic, so you obviously want to be a little careful, but I would turn the steam on my iron and hold the iron just above the area I was steaming until the fibers started relaxing more, going in a slow sweeping motion across the section being worked. When finished, I laid it out across the bed to let it dry & set. It worked out well =)

    You’re out of focus from the camera...can’t hardly see what you’re doing...try not not to move out of the center of where your camera is pointing out...great method though...

      No worries! It's not going to be for everyone, it's worked great for the projects I've worked it on.
