Just got my 44 the other day. Did not have any malfunctions on cheap federal ammo. I have the TX-22 also. Both are great 22 pistols. I'm sold on Glock pistols. Have not had a failure on any Glock that I own. Everyone should look at the loading video on the Glock website for the 44 (improper loading of the mag may have been the reason for the failures).

Damn very valid points for the training aspect on a budget. I've taken a few pistol classes and would like to practice what I've learn with live fire but ammo cost can really skyrocket. I use the 19x for my classes and hearing this will fit in a 19 holster is a plus. So I'm pretty much sold on this pistol. Thank you for the review Sean.

Great, looking forward to it. Just picked up my ODG extended rail Steyr mag unit. Already put on the Steyr 3x optic, Corvus Defensio mag release and brass deflector and I haven’t even shot it yet 🤪. Hope it’s a good shooter, but the cool factor is off the charts.

i may be wrong here but from what i understand the reason they're 10 round mags IS because of the size. you have the part on the mag that you use to pull it down and that takes up space for one but you also need to remember that with the rounds that gun uses you need to stack them on top of eachother vs having them kinda staggered. take all of these factors into consideration and you need more space for less. i saw someone at the glock booth at shot show doing an interview and they even stated that they're making a 15 round mag but they have yet to get it to a point that they're comfortable with. the ideal way to sell it would be to sell it with the 10 round mag but have the 15 round mag already on shelves. from what i've noticed im more likely to buy add ons for a firearm within a week of buying the gun itself so i personally wouldnt buy the gun then a new mag months later unless it really sticks out but on a 22 nothing is going to really stick out because this IMO is a more kid friendly gun. i think the mag is only 10 rounds because they havent made a good mag at more, not as a marketing technique,

Bottom of slide is steel btw.....last forever. Locking Block is smaller on the G44. GSSF Matches are only 10rds....single stack more reliable feeding. It is an awesome trainer. Glock does not rely on US Consumer market trends. CCI Blazers run perfect and suppressed it's awesome. I also ran Mini Mags, WW T22, American Eagle 40/36HP, Federal 36HP and Remington 36HP.....no issues. 10th round in mag needs loaded properly. Yes Taurus TX 22 16 round mags work great in their gun.....somebody will develop a mag for this G44.

I've currently got an early gen 3-23-40 cal I use for EDC and a new gen 4-19 9mm I use as a house gun. But I don't believe I want a 44-22. There are better 22 autos out their. I kinda favor revolvers for 22's. I do have a Pheonix Arms 22 auto I sometimes use for pocket carry. It has been 100 reliable with the factory recommended standard velocity 40 grain round nose lead. I use CCI standard velocity in it.

At first I thought, malfunctions a good thing? HA fan boy. But then I really started thinking about it. We need a training line of guns that randomly the extractor won't eject and stove pipe. Randomly the recoil spring doesn't seat it in battery or something like that. On a 22 frame it could mostly be plastic and the computer components could add back the weight. Anyone with the skill and machines, feel free to capitalize on the idea. I lack the items or licenses to do anything with it.

38,40 grain runs flawless 36 is where lies the malfunctions in here which kinda sucks cause glock said they had waited to make sure this would eat anything u feed it.I literally didnt have any malfunctions just the slide didnt lock back twice...oit of close to 1,000 which ammo in 38 ,40 u can still get cheap as hell but same time it should be shooting 36..that's like 19 not being able to shoot 115...If it wont reliable shoot 115 it is worthless to me....which glock has never had that issue but some has...Only issue really rings a bell is the first gen 4s came out limping cases out and they didnt want to address the problem, until the military and LE started complaining. Any glock 9mm needs to immediately have a 19x ejector installed anyways, just a rule of thumb since the 47021 ejector came out..the 336 is always been reliable also. the 47021 is a different monster though..Alot of people believe the 19x has just a couple different features. In all honestly theres like 1 or 2 reviews that actually know what is different in it....great vid brother been loving the44.....

Bro, i have learned that 22's are a dirty round, but if you keep the gun clean or any 22 autos for that matter malfunctions are going to happen. Now with my Glock 44 i use the good 22 ammo. keep it clean, and I slingshot my slide just like my Glock 19 & 21 with no issues other than ammo related issues 22 LR ammo has but never a gun issue. USE HIGH VELOCITY 22's like CCI stinger, CCI mini mags, and Winchester super 22's rates above 1300fps.

But the things is Glock claimed it works with everything. They bragged about testing hundreds of different types of rounds to meet their standard of reliability, and yet it seems they forgot to test it with standard bulk 36 grain ammo. If I wanted a 22 that only works with premium ammo, there are cheaper alternatives.

Glock lovers will love that. But I'll pass on that. Must be a 9mm or bigger for me to carry.

Heard of at least a few people having problems with there Glock 44's not properly loading the first round on a full mag.

Glocks going to wait a few months then release Glock 44 with threaded barrel, 15 round mags, and mos system on top and say its revolutionary hah ;)

j newport I have already seen ads for a threaded model «coming soon» in some local shops. Seemingly same slide, but with a longer barrel.

You can see in the second half of the video that it's just as bad as everyone says it is. The first half however is him looking at it like "the glass is half full" kind of guy and talking about the pros of using this to work your way up from 22 to 9mm as a first time shooter with guns that function very similar, minus the malfunctions

To be honest, Glock could have made up - at least a bit - for the fact they are 15 years too late to market with this thing - by making the slide functional on a regular G19 frame.
And then selling that 22 slide, as a drop-in, for people who don't need a whole new oa gun, but would like to practice with some 22LR. In addition, they could have fit, you know, _more than 10 rounds of 22LR_ into a G19 sized mag.
The G44 is decidedly not "innovative", "revolutionary" or anything like that. But you know what would have been useful - an official Glock factory slide, and mag, that lets you shoot 22 out of your G19 or G17. That would have been a well-thought-out product. Of course this is not that, because like everything that Glock does these days it's a poorly thought-out money grab.

That Glock would be illegal in the state of California, only gen 3 or older 😖. Also the only success I've had on a semi-auto handgun believe it or not I Cheapo GSG 1911 22LR it's like a starving Ethiopian it will eat anything.
