With u man🤘🤘🤘🤙🤙
I must say James, that was a good pour
My week isn't complete without seeing PaganiGaming Commenting about James dad
As always, I totally agree on this episode being made about Jame’s pops.
It’s da legend!!!!
The first car I ever drove growing up was my mom's 1978 Thunderbird.
We called it the land barge.
I’m amazed at the fact James made me voluntarily watch a UA-cam video with an ad without fast forwarding..
Nolan: Wait it's all Valvoline engine oil?
James: Always has been

Fuck royal purple I’m switching my oil today.
what I didn't love was the PC commentary . . . how many black presenters does Donut Media have on this channel ? That's what I thought, so STFU with your SJW talking points.

Fantastic add indeed, super creative
My mind was so full of fuck after watching that ad lmao
Thanks for all the Video Features :)
I am wondering. Why the T-Birds of 67-70 are so forgotten?
James: Says The word thunderbird
Me: oh here it comes, *Lightni-*
James: Gah Gah Gah
never thought i'd enjoy watching an almost insane man climbing an endless ladder while advertising about motor oil and talking to eagles which sound like crows
It was so much more than that... it was a legendary moment.
It was beautiful
I’m glad I didn’t skip the ad. That editing when you came in like Superman was dope!!!
I might be tripping but in 1:09 I believe that is hi car

When I used to work at an auction, we loved driving the Thunderbird SC. We called it the Super-Chicken.
I have one and let me tell ya it’s a blast to drive
I like the initial d reference with the “Back to speed” and sliding logo. Hahahha. Love you donut

8:24 Yeah, then maybe he can give up his job to a P.O.C.
Addressing his own concern, leading by example.
Thank you so much for making this video, my grandpa had a 1988 thunderbird. He got it new and it was his favorite car and he kept it running all these years until he got too old to do it. It got flooded and he couldn't drive it anymore. He passed away about a month ago and now his car is being passed on to me and I'm going to do everything I can to restore it!
For those who would want to know, its the 1988 LX coupe 5L V8 with the 4-speed automatic transmission
This episode holds a close spot in my heart. My first car was a 95 SC T-Bird and I miss it so much. If ever given the chance, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
I'm still driving my old 94 t-bird, not the sc model but still great
The ad was probably the best marketing ad I've ever seen on UA-cam hahahaha. Man i might start buying that oil 😂😂😂

I’ll do it for you. It’s so fast it’s gone.
That's interesting

Pretty solid coverage of the years. My dad had an 87 turbo coupe, and a 93 V6 cougar. I had a 97 4.6 thunderbird. Last year they made them. I currently own a 1992 5.0 XR7 cougar. It's my dream car. And she's a mint survivor! Team MN12!
Take it for a drag race 🏁
Dad had a foxbody mustang and a 5.0 thunderbird when I was younger. Loved both of them so much
I love how he's over Europe at 2:23

Had a 97 T-Bird, was probably one of the best cars that I owned. It was the car that switched my brother and his family, a tried and true bowtie crew, to purchasing several Mustangs thru the years.
I got a pretty cherry 93' Thunderbird. It's red and it's got the 3.8 v6 non supercharged. I will always have it and love it. It's so fun to drive.
The only sponsor as I’m actually amused watching. Amazing edits 😂😂

My grandpa still has his red 1959 convertible Thunderbird that he bought new. It's gorgeous, he loved watching this!!

That Valvoline ad healed my depression..... (Side note: Depression is a serious matter, but in my opinion i would rather watch that ad itself rather than those “vines that healed my depression” videos.)
Impossible. I had depression, it's way more serious than that. You need the right meds to fix it otherwise it lingers for years.
It did wonders for mine until he poured the oil with the bottle the wrong way. That's a rookie mistake that bothered me more than I care to admit.

I have a 1995 and a 1989 Thunderbird Super Coupe. Insanely comfy and pretty sporty especially the handling. They were the only cars other than the corvette at the time to have independent rear suspension and rear wheel drive.
Muffler shop I took the 95 SC to said they thought someone had swapped a corvette rear end onto my car.
Super coupes are awesome. I had a complete power train that was supposed to go in my 95 mustang, but never got to it. As far as I’m concerned the 3.8 supercharged was far superior to the 5.0
I loce tha 1995 thunderbird its awesome a definite sleeper
@@gshew6769 yeah and then all you have to do is slap a smaller pulley on that blower and you're off to the races.
My dad has also has a super coupe. He had problems with the cylinder head gaskets on the v6 and ended engine swapping it with a 351 Windsor.
I have an 89 SC in white in my garage right now with blown head gaskets. It's been a pain the ass getting down to them. I finally got down to the fuel rails, but Im stuck on the rear studs.
I'm aching to get it running because I only had it going for ~300 miles before it got so bad that it'd overheat after 6 minutes. It's at 109k. Dad bought it new in 89.
My first car was a 1991 SuperCoupe Tbird in Crystal Metallic Blue. Loved that little car.
that was the best sponsoring commercial you made it, liked the video without seeing the rest of it
Damn I'm hella drunk and the first commercial got me hooked, probably the best one in the Up To Speed series!
I’d love a bumper to bumper series of Donut members cars.
My parents got a ‘92 Thunderbird Super Coupe when I was a kid. I wish we had kept it so I could’ve had it for my first car, but there was no way they were going to let that happen. It wasn’t out of control powerful, but it was enough that I probably would’ve gotten myself into even more trouble than I did with my ‘95 S10. I also enjoyed Futurama’s mashup car that included the thunderbird, the Ford Thundercougarfalconbird!

Same bro! Just bought mine yesterday and it’s been on my mind since 2013 🤣 can’t even sleep cuz my wrenches keep calling me
A video I can finally relate with. My father had 3 '79 Thunderbirds. One he had before I was around, it was gold, one was black with a contrast vinyl top, and the last was a maroon Heritage Edition. He daily drove them up until 2010 when he got rid of the Heritage.
Edit: They skipped the 70s, but it's important to note that the '77-'79 generation was the best selling generation of the Thunderbird.
There's a guy near me who's hoarding six(!!) of them from that era. There's no accounting for taste...
My grandpa had a '77 he took from Tulsa to San Diego and back. He loved it. But he eventually traded it for a first-gen Expedition.
I have his 1974 Chevy Monte Carlo, but he always said the T-Bird handled better.
All I got was rust, a ratty vinyl top, and A/C that'll freeze a penguin.
@@henryrodgers7386 My father preferred his Thunderbirds over any of the other cars he had as well, with exception to the '72 Mach 1 R-Code he bought new and drove the balls out of until 1976.
He said the one car buying mistake he regrets was a new car purchase around 1978. He was in the showroom and he was buying an LTD II or a Thunderbird. He chose the LTD because it was $500 less, but the car gave him a variety of issues. One issue was Ford routed the wires under and into the middle of the driver's foot well. His heel wore the wires down and he drove home in the dark with no lights. In or outside the car.
He never had premature issues with his T-Birds. In 2005ish the transmission started slipping in the black car, and the Heritage had what I'm now assuming was a carb issue or vacuum leak when he got rid of it. I was only 11 at the time, but he had to put it in Neutral at lights. It's been sitting in his sister's yard for 10 years now.
He now drives a 2017 Jeep Cherokee, his first new car since '86 and his first car since retirement 10 years ago. When he took me for a ride in it, he mentioned it didn't ride as good as the Thunderbird. No shit, Sherlock, it's a Jeep not a Lincoln. He doesn't really drive it. He bought it to go to camp with, but he only just got a lot this year, so I've been keeping the wheels turning on it until now. It has 32,000 kilometers on it, my Dad only put 4000 on it.
Where’s the guy that keeps asking for up to speed on his dad

aahhhhfghh thank you guys so much on this video!! I'm restoring my dad's 95 supercoupe! now I have a video I can link when people ask what that is... 😅
Both my mother and father had Fox platform cars. My father owned an ‘84 Mercury Capri, ended up selling it and buying an ‘88 Ford Mustang LX. Sadly, a couple of lunatics stole it and wrecked it. My mother owned an ‘83 Mercury Capri, but it was involved in an accident. After that, she purchased an ‘85 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. My favorite story of this car was when she did a power slide on an on-ramp with my dad in the passenger seat. He turned ghost white, and darn near passed out.
James: Fighting for justice and what not
Me: seems legit

Great video about the T-Bird. By the way over here in Mexico regulations got even stricter in the 80s so it was prohibited to have a big engine block like a V-8, so according to my relatives that lived at that time, the Mustang wasn't being sold or it was sold harshly, so Ford Mexico decided to bring the Thunderbird over here as a replacement and it work pretty good especially when that 89 blower came along, eventually the Mustang came back over here or started selling well again in the early 90s. Now the T-Bird was the version of the Mustang but much larger it was the other sports car apart from the Mustang, sadly Ford screwed up and brought it back but for the old I know old people need to go slowly but c'mon the T-Bird? Couldn't Ford had just grab another car and promoted it for the old people like the Chevy Aveo? It would have been much smarter it they have brought the T-Bird back to life like the 2004 Mustang generation, if they have done that then probably right now we could have had it side by side with the Mustang . Anyway those are my toughts I hope you liked this little side story. Comment down below your thoughts 👇🏻.

I know this is an old video so nobody will see it but an old couple looking to get rid of their 86 thunderbird damn near gave it away to me. It was in pristine condition with all original parts and interior. The one and only thing that didn’t work was the gas gauge sensor which is getting fixed. It was straight out of that scene from Joe Dirt where the sweet old lady didn’t need the hemi and didn’t need the money so she said give me what you got in your pockets and its yours. The old couple basically did that with me because life has really kicked my ass the past few years and I was desperate for a break after my car literally fell apart while I was driving down the road 60mph. Anyway I couldn’t be more grateful for one to have a fully functioning car again but not only that. An almost perfect classic. I can’t see myself ever getting rid of it. Even if it breaks down. I will gladly put the money into it when I can.
