    For you that have a thick skull- What leary said, was to free you self, from what you dont really belive in, do what you want with your life. You are you, accept it, and accept others people for beign who they are. Its all with in our selfs. If you change you self you can change the rest of the world(big therms). All this is what love is- acceptence for you self, and acceptence for others. We are humans so let us be, in/with all our diffrentcies.

    The man says it all and it all makes so much sense.
    He was the anti-guru, advocating individual expression
    more than Ayn Rand ever thought about...

    If you only see him as a spokesman for LSD then you have missed what he was and stood for.. to get himself noticed he knew he had to do one outrageous thing to get his name out there so he could promote what he really wanted to do.
    In a sense this backfired because ultimately that's all he really became known for

    • @nancymcmonarch
      @nancymcmonarch Рік тому

      What did he want to do? I must have missed that part. All he accomplished, in the long run, was getting LSD illegalized because he hadn't sense enough to SHUT THE FUCK UP.

    I remain sceptical of Dr Leary, I don't use LSD, it didn't really agree with me and I also know many whos worlds have been badly effected by it , having said that I respect him and agree with a lot of what he said re. power and control, he seems rational, quite undamaged by his use and I wish there were more who thought like him

    You guys that only see this because of the rebelion on the drugs and the LSD. You are missing and looking up to a person that have alot more than that. The life of timothy was not devoded to LSD. But to understandment and accepten of humanity. He was a big pshilosopher, and psychology, that was fare beyond his time. Thats why he hated to his death the people who only viewed him and thermed him with the LSD

    Leary was a fool. Drunk with 'celebrity-hood' and his own ego, he became a media clown-and was arguably the single most damaging actor involved in the destruction of the evanescent social movement of the '60's. Tim, with his very public exhortations to the kids to 'tune in, turn on and drop out,' is the inspiration for all the current draconian US drug laws against psychedelics.... O. Stanley

      THANK YOU! And Owsley was a true hero who, btw, knew when and why it was prudent to SHUT UP. Leary's big priorities involved seeing his face on the news, being worshiped by a lot of naive kids, and getting laid.

    this is a must; if both you and your mentor have his qualities; you are going to be successful; Tim has reached his goals which he set back in the day; he is beginning to communicate to others and i would not say; Oh, he's psychic; sec. to enter the mind ; check your eyes. When police wanted to let men go from a Pot arrest; they would check their eyes; even the third eye; and then they would bust them.

      None of the lsd gurus approved of learys thoughts or actions re lsd. Leary also did a bucket of other drugs including alot of cocaine. If anything he was more of a "party on" kinda dude who advocated taking any drug you want. He waa irresponsible in his drug use

    @cosg9531 I'm sorry, but if a man came on to you and tried to touch you as an adult, beating him with a baseball bat severely would not be considered self defense, it would be considered assault. haven't you ever heard that two wrongs don't make a right? Most likely, the only way you got away with it was because you were a minor. this is all assuming you aren't just a troll. let's go check the comments on your channel to find out...

    Seminal figure in world history. A brave courageous man, an experimenter, an author, a scientist, a THINKER...Dr. Leary should have been our president...peace & opening our doors to the universe. But People of lower energies like Linkletter,Nixon, Reagan--and there's too many of them--can't handle free thinkers...KNOW THYSELF (stop following leaders--even the good ones like the Buddha---read SIDDHARTHA! We are still in a fascist state--but luckily this electronic medium MAY change things.

      Loudmouth Leary handed people like Linkletter, Nixon, and Reagan piles of ammunition on a silver tray. Thanks to his vapid buffoonery, LSD was scapegoated and demonized to such a degree that I've always suspected he was in on the job.
