What is Train Travel like in Taiwan | High Speed Trains from Kaohsiung to Taichung

  • We are leaving Kaohsiung and jumping on the bullet high speed train towards our final spot here in Tawain - Taichung.
Honestly it is super easy to use the trains here in Taiwan - cheap and so simple to just jump on and off - highly recommend using them during your trip.
When we arrived in Taichung we found out that the birthplace of Bubble Tea is right next to our hotel - so we headed out to Chun Shui Tang (the original store) to try our favourite drink in Taiwan - Milk Bubble tea.
Before being able to check into our hotel we headed out to the beautiful Taichung park, where we rented some row boats...which we failed at!
Next up Jess had to take us to the busiest dumpling store we have ever been to...Din Tai Fung to try the famous Xiao Long Bao - soo good!!
We then ended our night checking into our hotel :)...one more Taiwan vlog :(

This is Taiwan Only a few concrete structures with little aesthetic and historical values. Interesting Japanese cultures such as Shugendo and Hossō-shu can never be found in Taiwan. The general Taiwanese understanding of Japanese culture is extremely limited - even an average Shanghaiese has a deeper look inside Japan than average Taiwanese. Most Taiwanese fondness of Japan is floating on surface.

Taiwan's high speed rail was actually shinkansen made for Taiwan and made in Japan. It's original is Shinkansen 700 series which runs in maximum of 285 km/h then Taiwan's 700T series runs in maximum of 300 km/h. These are my favorite Shinkansen models. It's also the reason why the high speed rail is near same to Japanese shinkansen.

This is the first time that the Shinkansen system has been exported overseas, so its engineering business has been registered as the "Taiwan Shinkansen" and has become a nickname for the railway by some people. However, in some detail design and log, electromechanical systems, the use of European specifications.
