Ooh, brings back fond memories of our trip in March we did from Darwin to Adelaide. Unfortunately, we didn’t go to Coober Pedy though. I think they wait until the weather cools down a little. I loved being rocked to sleep on the train. Hunter’s speech is coming along fast now!
@@jj-if6it We stopped off just in Kathryn and Alice Springs. One evening after dinner the train stopped somewhere else too just for a couple of hours which allowed people to see the stars and drink port around the fireplace. No marshmallows though unfortunately lol
It is the highlight of our week to watch your adventures together as a family. It’s so lovely to see Hunter grow up and experience all this - she already seems like quite the little traveller already. Thank you for all your videos, we are missing home and whilst we are still in the UK for another year or so it has helped us feel connected to home.
Thnku again for another great share. U guys r so brave and the most amazingly dedicated parents to little hunter. She may loose some of these memories as she gets older but one thing she will never forget is how much her parents loved her xx

A few years ago I watched a u-tube video of The Ghan that lead to watching videos about other luxury trains, ending up watching one about our own Blue Train here in RSA and a young couple vloging their trip! Never missed a flying the nest episode since then. 🇿🇦♥️♥️💝

Oh yep so we didnt want to take away from the video by explaining it but we could only do the Alice Springs to Adelaide Journey ...so essentially parked our Van in Adelaide flew up to Alice Springs and then took the train back down to Adeliade...i know very silly way but this trains booked out into 2023 and there was a last minute cancellation we noticed and just couldn't miss out on making this video for you guys!

We did the Ghan a couple of years back in the same class and "luxury" is not a word I would use to describe it. It was far too noisy to sleep, and I'm not a light sleeper, it was as rough as all hell, the toilet stopped working and they couldn't fix it and we froze at night. But the food and drink were good.

Back in England from a fantastic 14 day road trip in Wales. No camping out though. A diesel train 3/4 of the way up Mount Snowdon was great. It has been a dream of mine to take the train from Beijing to London (Via Moscow) but that now seems extremely unlikely. Perhaps another cross Canada train trip on Via Rail and finally up to Churchill, MB where the polar bears live. (Before any controversial comments, I would not be going for the the bears, it would be a return to where I lived as a toddler)
I just love how you can get off the train and do different activities, like a cruise! I loved your room it looked so comfortable! I went on a day trip on the Orient Express once from London to Lincoln, had a huge Christmas Fair. I loved the underground church, how cool is that! Amazing scenery and sunsets, with a glass of champagne to boot! Hunter looked so pretty in her dress! Thank you for the vlog, beautiful scenery as usual! Australia is definitely on my bucket list to go visit one day! Such diverse scenery, a bit like the States!

You made the train trip look good. I know someone who did the gold class from Sydney to Adelaide and, well, let's just say, she didn't have nice things to say about it.
My sister i went on the Indian pacific Sydney to perth many years ago for my birthday did the middle class on the way there and first class on the way back. When went on it we only had activities off the train that was just sightseeing no dinners. I remember there was freight train derailment and our train was delayed in a 4 person town called cook for several hours and people got off and started playing cricket .😬💖💋

Turned out I could have travelled to Australia for a lot less . Expensive hobby.
