7-step method 1. Mimic/parrot/repeat 2. Ask questions such as Reddit or Quora 3. Listen on repeat: movies, TV shows, or books (The three-body problem, the dark forest, death's end) 4. Paraphrase/Teach (record yourself) 5. Sing (out loud). Book: fluent for ever 6. Story + dialogue (write the conversation down) 7. Just do!

Wow, I'm a native Spanish speaker, and I'm happy because I understood everything you said. I took notes of your advice, and I will follow your channel. Thank you
I love your tips! I live in Brazil and I'm learning English. Sometimes I compare my results with someone who speaks better than I do, but I understand it's not the best way to motivate myself! I discovered your channel this week and I'm in love. Thank you so much!
I'm so glad that I found your youtube chanel. your videos are effective for me this video made me to speak without thinking that my sentence is right or wrong. I can say this is my first comment in english
Never thought anyone could give such inspiring advice on such a corny topic. I heard so many people mention shadowing exercise but no one has been explicit about it to this depth. Thank you so much!❤
it seems like youtube has found their new star, awesome teacher, awesome style , ı have seen many teacher in youtube some of them really good at their work but some are not. You are really good at your work. Keep going like that. your lessons really fun and useful ...
Loved this video! 😍I sometimes watch videos on learning English even though I’m a native English speaker because I find that many times the ideas given on channels about learning English are better than many of the repeated ideas on channels about learning a foreign language. This is definitely one of them! Perfect for anyone learning any second language! Thanks! New subscriber.
OMG!! Thank you for letting me aware of many things. And most of all, I’ve just been aware that I didn’t listen my own English speaking voice 💦 Recently I have just started dictation by writing words from a movie. But I can just listen and write just a little words, so I terribly shocked. But now I am used to that, and later I am studying and listening many times same parts. So, so, so,so, This time, I have just known what I should do, one more so important thing… that I have to listen my own English speaking, I mean, shadowing voice… It must give me a ton of another shocks 🤣🤣🤣 But, thank you for very tough lesson myself. And, as you say, I never forget to learn English with fun, and also I never have too strict goals 😻
I think these kind of advice may only be useful to someone learning the language of the country they live in, so that they can use it every day with native speakers who can correct them if they make mistakes. As amazing as it is that your son is learning two languages simultaneously, he also has parents who can correct him (or rephrase what he's saying) or show him how to say it and he uses it every single day all the time. However it's different if you live in one country but learn a language of another country and you don't use it on daily bases or don't have anyone who would correct you or anyone you could actually speak in language with and classes are 2-4 hours a week with stuff that are not actually useful in daily conversations (or very little) because that's how language books are made... You learn a language faster if you have to use it every day no matter the age...

Is true I learn English just talking with my father that was from an island of Nicaragua and I understand and I feel able to write it due to cuz I only can read my first language is Spanish
The 3 Body Problem is originally in Chinese which is my native language, and it's confusing when i read the books at first. Dunno if i can read it in English.
@@caleb40426 If it’s not that enjoyable (but you still want to read sci fi), you could also try sci fi written in the “Young Adult” genre. This includes books such as the Hunger Games series.
@@tikpaidam I have two others videos on this channel that you might like where I cook with my son (he speaks in them). I would like to make more videos with him but it’s very difficult to film with a 3 year old 😆
My daughter 2,5 yo makes a lot of mistakes in english, I was thinking ‘why this kid makes a lot of mistakes?’. Because it didn’t happen to my first kid who started learning english little bit older than my daughter. Thank God you said this, even 3 yo native speaker makes mistakes. So I guess it’s normal. Do you have an instagram account?
❤️❤️ Yes, definitely normal! They all learn at their own pace. I wish I could do Instagram too but I just don’t have time right now 😅 Are you from Indonesia? We would actually like to teach our son Bahasa too, because my husband speaks it and we have spent a lot of time there 😄
