station wagons is extremly rare even in Sweden and you can get a good chunk of cash for the papers for the car alone. I have owned one but it was more bluetooth then connected anywhere
Bummer Dean! Sad to see that the floor and it’s structure is mostly gone! At first the engine sounded like a grandad passing gas but now it runs quite nice! I hope you can safe it in Some way ! 👍🏻👍🏻🆙 like allways Dean !
The ignition wire for #1 cylinder are made at a 90 deg. in case the B18/B20 has AC installed. The compressor is typically mounted on the front of the engine next to #1 cylinder. This way the wire can clear the compressor housing and be removable/serviceable. Lower end ignition wire sets (Rockauto) will omit the single wire with the right-angled connector.
One of my lecturers at Uni had a lovely one of these in the early eighties and she used it purely for moving hay for her horses, I had a 145 at the time and tried to get her to swap it with me, but sadly she thought it looked cute! Carrying hay bales does not help a wagon have a happy life!
It’s definitely rough, but the wheel well cracking is normal stuff. Mine has it bad on both sides. Before mountain meet mine started squeaking really bad, and instead of…fixing it? I just hosed the crack down with wd40. Worked a treat.
Did I hear you say that you have ford ranger wheels on the 120 Volvo? I have a 1968 120 wagon wagon and would like to what year of ranger wheels would fit my wagon. On parts.... I'm looking for a good condition passenger side stainless mirror with the blue tint on the glass.
Hey Dean. Thanks for another episode! Getting that engine running was great! The rust revealing part was a bit sad. Poor wagon... has the looks but has no backbone...😢
Omg! I mean I like ginger dust but wow! That’s literally snapping in half. Dude if I can help in anyway let me know. On the plus side those Webbers sound amazing! 👍

Fun to see the old engine back to life. What a beautiful sound.

How did you learn all you know about old Volvos?
Mostly from having no money and I had a very cheap Volvo 240 that always needed to be fixed.
@@DeanofMachines Sounds like me right now.

There are a couple of options that I have… all of them require time and money

Shake hands with danger lol
Floppy noodly chassis problems
That car will be repaired and loved one day. It's not unique but it is rare. Just park it, cover it and its day will come. Cheers.
Someday itll be a serious unit. Hopefully the channel can support it later this year.
Always enjoy the content.
I really appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to say something!

Yep! The 80s Rangers and Bronco II have the save bolt pattern.
I have no 122 parts for sale.

Amazing that the engine started. These motors really want to run. I guess the distributor was installed correctly after all.
Normally it should point to the left headlight but as long as you know where tdc is on each cylinder then it should run.
I think you ought contact the Master Class folks. If ever there was a Master class in Spitballing, this was it!
Just gotta do your best!
number 1 cyl plug wire has that shape for ac cars.
I have come to learn this recently! How neat is that!
Now that is a rarity even in Sweden these days.
It’s rare to see them pop up in my area. (Within 300 miles of Atlanta) I was excited to snag this one to say the least.
Yes I've seen one, in Värmland Sweden that was painted in the Swedish M90 woodland camo. And lowered on cut springs.
Yeah. The Volvo Amazon sedan is very common here I'd say. My father owns one. But the station wagon version is a rare sight. @@DeanofMachines
Nice video
Thank ya sir!
SU carburettors made in Birmingham, England. Fitted to loads of cars over here. Can you get parts in the U.S?
We can but they are pricey
Body swap onto a wrecked V70?
The problem is, the 122 is very narrow
Fender flares?

I was excited to vacuum the floor. I didn’t realize i was going to vacuum up the floor.
You could paint it radioactive green :)
Or white with a ghost on the side!!
This is a red block. Give it fuel and spark and it will run !!!

That b20 would fit nicely in my vw bus 😊
Is that a common swap?
Not really from what I know, just something I’ve always wanted to do 😊

When I saw the whole video I go down to 2000 dollars 🤥
