I'm wiping away tears from my eyes right now....I've never heard music this good in my life...Memories were flooding flooding from my brain...It gently took us to my Grand-Parents farm earlier

I'm a frenchy born in 1990, but god I love this song, I play the blues/rock but only from 40's-80's. I wish I was born in those days, people seemed more happy, more joyful, nowadays we don't have such good music anymore. So sad. God bless the United States of America, thank you MTB, love from France.
Hello from Preston In the U.K. it's really great the way music reaches people from all over the world. No discrimination whatever. I like yourself prefer the tunes of yesteryear. Born 1958.ha! 🙂
So weird how a song can take you back to a place. The first time I ever heard this song was in 1977 in a pizza hut in Durango Colorado playing on a juke box. Fell in love with this song!
When I heard this song, I grad from college, and inflation was taking its toll back then, like now. I was worried sick I wouldn't find a job. But landed a low pay job working on a tug boat out of Seal Beach Weapons station in Cal. Best job I ever had. Always out at sea and we had a cool boss. If there was no schedule work for the day, we'd either fish, screw around and listen to the radio and hear these songs. I am 73 now, and well off, and hearing this song puts a smile on my face. You never know what the future may bring to you, but also enjoy those happy moments. And those were happy moments working on that tug, and back then, I had no money. There is some wisdom in that, but I can't put into words/
Graduated 1976, this was what was playing on the radio along with some of the greatest music ever heard. I sure do miss those days at 63 years old I have seen a Lot of changes mostly bad but I've had a great life
Yep. I graduated the same year. Bought the album in 79, traveled around the country, lost everything, but gained experience and a new life. All the best to you!
For sure! I graduated the same year, I will be 63 here in a couple of months. So hard to believe. This music really takes me back, dancing to it then you snap back into reality at this time, and think wow! Good times back then!!! This generation just sadly missed out!
I graduated in 77, joined the Army in 78 to get away from a girl that broke my heart. I can't begin to count how many times I've listened to this group and still love today.
"Heard it in a love song" first time I heard it, I was 12, I knew then I wanted to play the piano. I can still play it without missing a beat. Bands like this are sorely missed, but they did give me one of the most important gifts of my life. Music. Playing music kept me sane at times, made me cry at times, made me happy and will be there till I die. MTB, Thank you.
I was 25 yrs old in 1977 living on the beach in southern Cal rocking out to this band as well...Good music is just that no matter where you're listening to it....but hell your time sounds much better :)
A T Morgan I HEAR YOU MAN! Being the youngest member of 5 kids and being exposed to "ROCK N' ROLL" at age 4! I decided to learn and play drums, guitar, bass guitar, and saxophone! Never regretted to this day!
Got a chance to meet the original members back in the day. Never seen such a group of good, decent musicians with so much talent. I miss their beautiful songs and playing. I miss those days.
60's, 70's, and 80's. The best country and southern rock era. Bygone days. graduation, marriage. Good times. A sense of well being and social dances. My oh me, how this country has changed.😢

Marshall Tucker, almond brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly hatchet, and Pantera are my favorite southern rock. And Charlie Daniels, I actually saw Charlie Daniels and Molly hatchet play together in the early 2000s, before they both died, it was awesome.
I live only a few miles from the MTB studio. Lots of stories about the parties from my friends who visited. I even bought a MTB vinyl from Doug Gray who owned a music store down the street. I miss the 70's. Lord, take me back.😢

This song always takes me back, to more innocent times, better days when I was still young, innocent and full of wonder. I was 14 when i first heard this gem. I would go back to those days in a minute.
I randomly heard this on the radio maybe two to three weeks ago and remembered that I'd heard it on and off in maybe the early 80s. I always thought it was called Pretty Little Love Song. Whatever, it's really great, and I've listened to it again now like 20 times. I mean, this is a Southern country rockish song that starts with a flute? Love the piano.
I played this to my Papa's and they sang along with me. I don't know how I did it , but I translated piano music to my flute. A miracle of God, I was never taught, I just did. The piccolo was so precious to me,. Thank You Mark. I 💙 you soo😘
My old girl friend LOVED dancing to this when we were out. She had a heart attack while I was visiting her this last Oct. This song makes me miss her even more.
Was a simplicity and freshness to music back then..so much being released..from many great artists..its only now, looking back, we can appreciate it..😎✌❤ Peace & Love All..
Great song. Flute arrangement, guitar arrangements and the voice coming in late. Singer was attempting to show his singing voice. There are/were some men who thought like this. One of my favorites.
One of my all-time favorite songs! I can never get tired of it. Released on February 26, 1977 reaching #14 on June 11. Love the breeze through the field in the video.
There’s so much passion in 70’s music. A great time to be alive. And hearing these songs today kindles a fire of revival in my spirit. There’s no passion in music anymore. Bring back the era of rebellion, radicalism and...ROCK AND ROLL. Marshall Tucker Band, once again, puts me on the highway, wind rushing in my ears, hair sailing behind me, the roar of power, a girlfriend waiting, and....

Agree ....76 was a great year for music. We were blessed. Marshall Tucker, Jackson Browne, Pure Prairie league, Fogelberg, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt. This music created us and believe it or not the Viet Nam War hell created the greatest music of all time. Plus I saw Neil Young the night the war ended at Queens Collage on a junior high school night sneaking out the window climbing my white birch tree just to be apart of the greatest evening of wartime ending.
When I was a kid I thought they were singing, "Pretty (purty) little love song. Can't be bought." My dad finally got tired of me screwing it up and told me what they were really saying.

I might be 11 but I heard it when I was 9 and it is one of the best songs I have heard!!!!!!
There's something so romantic about it I can't stop thinking of living the life.
They don't make music like this anymore. Feeling old' perhaps, but what a ride!❤💯...

Fabulous choices. I'm sorry for your loss.
Doug Gray has a great deep voice, the album Face Down In The Blues blew me away.
I grew up listening to Marshall Tucker. Never gets old
love this flute sound.. piano is well matched. lovely song..
Feel like this was the first song I heard as a baby... pure, folksy, and an invitation to dance
This song just touches my heart...ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
I'm just glad that someone else knows about The Marshall Tucker Band. Thank you for your listening assignments, Rhett & Link!
got ticket for a show, southern Indiana early August. they're true ramblers

I agree with you over your dad. No offense to your father.
Started listening to MTB in the Fall of 1976 and the music is just as good now as it was then.
