So how was it pushed ? not every project in India should take decades just to plan, and then miss 10 deadlines Btw great video
A country where most of the population is living in poverty. The emperor needs a new Palace and a private Train. Also not to forget the tatters the economy is in right now.
We Indians need to keep aside our political bias and should scrutinize each policies solely on their merits and demerits. Infrastructure projects are necessary if we really want our beloved country to compete on world stage with other big economies.
Also, Modification is needed at the bureaucracy level. In today's world, our nation needs specialists like doctors for the medical department, engineers and economists for the technical department, and experienced defense personnel for the defense department but we are promoting generalists ( bureaucrats) in these fields of strategic importance. But our politician is unwilling and lacks the character to satisfy their needs and power.

5:58 New Tamil Nadu Legislative assembly (although converted to a super specialty hospital now) was constructed to improve the infrastructure, facilities, security features and not because of the increase in the population or to number of MLA's, as its seats are 234 since 1960's, also TN assembly Fort St. George is much older and was built in 16th century unlike the Indian Parliament complex which was built in 1920's. Providing more number of MP's seats to states with higher population who've failed to take population control measures unlike their southern counterparts will create a serious impact on the southern states in the decision/policy making process, its more like punishing the brighter students of the class than rewarding them.

that 1 MP representing X people argument seems absurd as that holds true even for number of schools/teachers and hospitals/doctors clearly later should be at higher priority, especially hospitals as it would have reduced the deaths drastically during this pandemic in my opinion any govt gives priority to the projects which gives them a popularity boost, i.e developing a mega project will certainly be more noticeable than 100s of mini projects.
You can't build hospitals and schools in the middle of the pandemic? Will the buildings cure the sick? Can a doctor be trained in 2-3 months? Can the building walls teach children? Every person gets one vote, now if a family has more number of members would you say giving voting to right all of its members would be undemocratic? No right? The Government of India in the 70s emphasized on family planning (Hum do, humaare do). Based on those government policies, the south Indian states and West Bengal performed better than Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. If number of MPs will be increased then UP and Bihar will gain more MPs than South India. Due to which the balance in Indian politics will get shifted to north India more. Also, increasing number of MPs will need more security personnel deployed for their safety. This will further dwindle the law and order of the country if police recruitment does not increase.

Designs we submitted judges voted over months, It was clear from the beginning that it is to be ready before 75th independence day. So how was it pushed ? not every project in India should take decades just to plan, and then miss 10 deadlines

Also u forgot to mention a imp point: pre-1947 building ( built by british) wont be touched..Essentially Modi is not leaving behind any legacy, just a New building which will house 800+ MPs...👍🏻👍🏻 & Common secretary building ( to save rent)...👍🏻👍🏻. All unplanned buildings removed tats all (built during 1947 - present). Essentially Renovation work going-on. 👍🏻👍🏻
We clearly mentioned that North & South Blocks, Sansad Bhavan will be made into museums
@@BisboWorld you didn't mention that these buildings are mostly hold by Congress amd country give 10,000 crore as rent to them every year...Try to express your views and research also in this matter.soo that we can know about effiencieny.
@@BisboWorld You should also have mentioned the necessity for the project like dilapidated condition of the current parliament, massive rental expense each year for secretariat buildings and of course the housing of 1000s of irrelevant military staff adjacent to the parliament while essential staff were working from far away.
I heard that lot of buildings are leased to house MP's( Guest house and residential buildings) , the cost to maintain these buildings is soo high and this is also one of the reason to have new buildings in vista project.

Delimitation will gift extra seats to non performing states and penalise performing states. States perform based on the leaders they select, imagine reducing the share of performing leaders and increasing the share of underperforming ones in the Parliament. After this no state will work towards the common goal of the country, there is no incentive to do so.
Every person gets one vote, now if a family has more number of members would you say giving voting to right all of its members would be undemocratic? No right? Delimitation will ensure that the ratio of number of MPs for the population in the country is not skewed which means every Indians vote will matter the same (more or less), so where is the problem?
@@misternobody6798 The problem is about Political representation, The states which controlled population did that because it was the country's need. Now if you penalise them that will sent a wrong message. If delimitation is the need then India should become a pure federal union like US and adjust the shortfall in Loksabha for states in Rajyasabha. If solutions like these are not met by amicable settlement some regions will feel as it is a colony of other region to loot.
@@brijithlalkb No we don't have to model our country along the lines of US, we have a very different culture and history.
As for states controlling their population, we already can see population in all states starting to plateau, even without any specific population control laws. This is a simple by product of development, changing economic and health landscape, and most of all awareness.
@@misternobody6798 Our country was modelled taking cue from different countries, no we dont have a rich history of democracy as ours is a new one. Rich history of colonial and Tyrant kings dont count here. As our country is so vast and diverse we should strive for autonomy for states. Reducing the political representation and centralising power will only increase calls for succession. Further when the delimitation was freezed the idea was it can be resumed once the population growth gets to replacement level. So as you are hope full we can wait for the balance states also to reach that level and then go on with delimitation.
@@brijithlalkb I never said we have a rich history of democracy you said it and are attacking the argument that you created.
Besides United States too didn't have a history of democracy when they became one thankfully they didn't have citizens like yourself saying we can't build our countries along our own vision and we need to copy someone else. United States has his it's own problems with regards to public representation and constituency constitution, look up gerrymandering.
If you want equal representation for individual states but not equal representation for individual citizen, I don't know what to tell you other than the fact that this country's constitution is geared towards the latter and not the former.
There still are legitimate concerns about the massive ₹20,000 cr project.
1) Why is a new PM's residence being built? At a time of national recession.
2) More resources should have been allocated towards building hospitals and clinics rather than building a parliament house.
3) Why couldn't we delay the construction to a time when the economy will be running again?? Covid-19 is not a normal, everyday problem as bisbo said it is. It has grappled the entire nation at once and left us to our knees.
4) Why did the Gov't float a tender worth ₹872 cr (which TATA projects won) to reconstruct the parliament building?
5)Why didn't they try to create jobs through MNREGA Scheme (which many economists supported) if it was really about creating jobs??
6) Wouldn't minority States lose representation in lok sabha for controlling population if delimitation is initiated? It would literally be a punishment for controlling population for states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Well last point is valid and there will will be nationwide enraged agai st this. I hope gov also includes criterias like birth control governance etc to compensate loss
government spending is what pulls most economies out of recession. There's a reason why biden is spending 6 trillion on infra in usa. fools like you who have no idea of economics should stay put and stop embarrassing themselves by commenting nadir statements..
@@siddhantkumar1028 Gov't spending in the right places like MGNREGA Scheme or NHAI could pull India out of the recession but giving out loan incentives to corporations wouldn't at all help.
Instead A Buiding a New One They Would have Renovated perfectly, money would have not been wasted so much. Good Bisbo!
Yeah but renovation can be limited and it costs loads of money each year.
I feel that Delhi is already too congested. India must have built a new capital city in a place near Delhi (like Greater Noida or Chandigarh) and that too in a completely planned and organised manner.
A good idea Aatmik.
Bisbo once so critical about government policies suddenly changes course as many of its videos shows this change or gears - looks like Bisbo has been vaccinated adequately. A country suffering from oxygen distribution spends 20k crores on luxury should have been a Limerick by Bisbo already
Hahaha, we are issue-based Palash, not pro or anti anyone
The Government of India in the 70s emphasized on family planning (Hum do, humaare do). Based on those government policies, the south Indian states and West Bengal performed better than Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. If number of MPs will be increased then UP and Bihar will gain more MPs than South India. Due to which the balance in Indian politics will get shifted to north India more. Also, increasing number of MPs will need more security personnel deployed for their safety. This will further dwindle the law and order of the country if police recruitment does not increase.
not only south but also maharashtra , north east , punjab, haryana , himachal , uttara khand goa WB ETC

Great video. 3 more things to mention:
1.) an open competition was held 1 year before this ( so not pushed, every interested person knew this)
2.) parliament is only 1000 cr while the entire amount is spread over multiple phases/years. So a miniscule amount actually
3.) to put in perspective Maharashtra (a state) is building a MPs accomodation worth 900 cr.
Damn. So much of counterarguments in a single video. I'm a fan now.
Representation based on the population can be controversial as many southern and educated states don't have population issues of that intensity as we see in UP, Haryana, Bihar, and Punjab.
Instead of using population as a metric to represent MPs in lok sabha, I feel using GDP contributed by each state would be a better measure, it's like those state that bring in more value to the country should be given a stronger voice than those that just are over populating the country. I'm not aware of minute details of how things work but this seems a plausible idea to me.
Being a Modi supporter I oppose this, they could've gone to AIIMS, Safdarjung and many other government hospital and should've seen the situation and then decided whats important, basic infrastructure or their own comfort
Bro the thing is their is problem of logistics in pm cares fund we have over 1billon dollars and when their was oxygen crisis in india our production was more than we need but couldn't transported this oxygen timely and we have seen politics which take place between state and centre blame game drama like kejriwal didn't build 8 psa oxygen plants with all funds present and missing of roughly 50000 remedisiver vials blackmarketing of essential medicines and many more and at last if this patient were given to any country their situation will be as worse as ours example - Us
Hospital ka funds thori na use ho rha h isme! Health ka budget alag h... Aur jitna aiims 2014 ke baad bna h wo bhi dekh lo
Modi Government have already built AIIMS Gorakhpur and AIIMS Raibareli in UP
@Gaurav Mehrotra Yeah when the whole country is under shut down ,,,with collapse of medical system ,,,,each and every resource has to be pushed to boost the health infrastructure,,,,,
For ur argument sake ,,,why was the Indian IAF called upon for help for oxygen???
Why was the military called in for support in covid 19???
Since u say different systems have to work independently......
The whole bloody system should be unified to save Human lives
This is what happens when 6 fail becomes the leader , that's why I tell everyone focus on your local MP and vote the wise AND honest one not by seeing party , if you do this only true leader will be our PM
The current parliament premises is not susceptible to high seismic wave or strong earthquakes of Delhi NCT. Imagine, if tomorrow one of the part collapses, the whole world will laugh at us and the opposition will ridicule the central government for not focusing on this.
What if all so called leaders were in that building at time of earthquake 😂😂
The world also laughed at us when our relatives were dying not bcz of covid but bcz of oxygen shortage. Go beyond what "the world sees" and see what really matters to us.

@@NaveenKumar-fn1gj Bruh! Let me tell u ! This thing is a big fraud. I do support this delimitation but the problem is it is going to give representatives to states which have failed to control the population. My sincere openoon is instead along with population they should include new alternative factors like quality governance and birth control or else if delimitation is done solely on population than it would effectively take representation from states which have controlled population . Southern states would be worst hit coz states like kerla have taken efforts for population control in 50s while northern states started it it 90s. Already they have those narratives like dravida nadu etc for this . Modi gov should be cautious while implementing delimitation so that birth controlling states aren't penalized.
@@dog6376 Bruh! Southern states are already paying more compared to what they get from centres coffers. Alone souyh gives 28% to centres coffers and centre gives back only 15% . In 60s indira gandhi advised birth control to indian states south executed it with full loyalty so today wwe definitely want to be rewarded. Southern states top in no of parameters in HDI , economy etc hence we definitely deserve more representation. South only gives 130 seats to loksabha and up gives even more than half of south. This should stop. With delimitation this difference would increase further.
Delimitation is essential for good administration but atleast centre should give special provisions for southern states to avoid penalized from centre .
And south indiams are too brave. Just research abt our kings . Forget today's karnataka in past during reign of rashtratukas ot was spread from madurai to varanasi .
