Why boycott? Restaurants need to make money still. So explain this, if people aren’t using cash to pay for the food, how are the restaurants getting paid when customers use a “cashless” system?
I don't carry a lot of cash these days, but I absolutely don't want a cashless society. That means someone can turn off the tap with the click of a mouse. No thanks!
Being able to pay with multiple systems is no problem , it is the .gov type that infringe. Fact is the basics could be free and money only for improvement.
I'm currently in Biloxi Mississippi enjoying casinos the way they should be ran! Real odds, free drinks flowing and always free parking! My yearly vegas trips have turned into Louisiana and Mississippi trips! Way way way more enjoyable
This happened to me at subw.... They added on a tip so I refused to pay it and they gave me a story about they can't reverse it out. I gave them back the sandwich and left.
Cash only people are very vocal about it like it's some matter of pride while in reality 90% of people never have cash. I always carry some but use my card when I can for the points and convenience..
las Vegas is going downhill fast. the days when you could go to a casino hotel on the strip with a wife or gf and see a few shows gamble some and park you rental car for free are over. most casinos are owned and run by venture capital venture firms or hedge funds and they gouge you for profits, the days of casinos being owned by rich individuals that gave you a fare shake are gone.
If someone does not take cash, I'm out of there. Same goes for Amazon. I will order nothing on line. I either go to a local store and if I don't find the item I need, I will substitute something else. I will not order on line. I want to see or touch what I buy. I rather do without. Period.
Thank you for showing this. I prefer cash, so will avoid Resorts World😡 Also, how embarassing that this huge casino has NO open kiosks or service at 10:30 AM in a tourist-driven town. I am an early riser, so this casino is a Hard PASS for me. 😎😎
I travel to Vegas from Canada twice a year. I bring the amount of US cash I budgeted for the trip. I refuse to pay the extra astronomical fees to use my Canadian banking cards. I'll avoid anywhere that doesn't take cash. If it becomes cashless, I will travel elsewhere.
Its illegal not to accept cash. It says on cash "this note good for all debts public & private." This is legally binding because it could destroy the value of our currency if ppl & places stopped accepting it
Cashless two thing's I don't like is what happens when there is a power failure. Hawaii just had one and it lasted 4 days. Most restaurants had to be closed. The other thing cyber attack, no one can use there cards.
I have never stepped foot in resorts world because I heard they don't take cash! I find it amusing that we welcome all these foreign companies in that don't accept our currency
In Canada we have been primarily cashless for years. I couldn’t believe a guy in Menards in the US writing out a cheque for his purchase. We just tap the card to a handheld reader and ur done. Why carry around grubby bills and change that collects in a jar.
I don’t mind using my card or an app, but I do not want a cashless society. Also, I LOVE the RW food court! But their hours can be quirky. It’s best to hit in in the late afternoon.
walking around being a pain to people working is not so great journalism. You already know the answer. Resorts world is known for being cashless. Not my preference, but it's a free market. people will decide with their wallets.
I am total against places that do not take cash. Especially something like a food court. While I do use debit or credit cards, I prefer to use cash for smaller purchases. This is one way to control spending and keeping on budget. Even for casino play I prefer to use cash since that is one way I keep track of wins and looses. I am primarily a slot machine player so I prefer to put in a set amount of cash into the machine and then play. If I loose too much I cash out and start the process again on another machine. Same thing if I win enough to decide to quit that machine. At the end of the day I cash in my redemption tickets and have a good accounting of my wins or looses. If a casino wants me to load my cash on to a card, I loose that ability to set an amount I want to play. They hope you will not notice how much you are playing and loosing or winning by using a funded card. It is just a way for the casino to get you to spend more than you would using cash.
Cashless is fine if it is private, national blockchains are surveillance operations. Your best government or national money is gold, but; I think war could become the actual currency.
If there is a casino wallet associated with your player card, I'm cool with cashless if I can use that account to buy food cashless. Because if you're gambling and cash out a ticket, you got cash, you want to spend cash. If it just uploads to your card and you can use that card, even better.
Typical, you have to pay to get a card in order to get beer that you also have to pay for. Make sense 😐 In some states this would illegal to not accept cash when purchasing from stores.
Resorts World is probably trying to stop employee theft of cash. Also if that kiosk is spitting out a debit card, RW is probably hoping the customer won’t spend all the money on the card before they leave town. That would be pure profit. Is that how the kiosk works?
Cash should always be a option and we are in big trouble when it isn't anymore!!.....That being said i am ok with using my card to pay but i found in Vegas compared to Canada the payment systems did not work as good or smooth and the ones here , a lot of places would not take debit card and only credit and even then you would have to fill out the tip old school style with a pen , where that option should be on the machine.....Also like in your video a lot of kiosks to pay for stuff were out of order ...
This is not a good idea for the following reasons: These reasons are in Canada so i am not sure it applys in las vegas. There are a lot of asylum seekers in Canada and they do not have credit cards or bank accounts. I do not know whether there are a lot of asylum seekers in the US so if there aren't many asylum seekers in the US then you are not losing any market. There is a certain number of people who are looking to stay off the grid in Canada, not sure whether that happens in the US. Thirdly there are a lot of senior citizens who like old fashioned cash
Just say NO to cashless systems! That means someone else can control your money, and small businesses get killed with fees, and they have to add that into their pricing.
It's probably a property wide thing that they don't take cash. That and/or there's some sort of agreement with resorts world, part of their contract, that they don't take cash.
So if the system goes down, how would you proceed with any shopping, or payment of any kind! If you have a student doing some work for you and you want to pay them, how would you be able to do that! If a youngster wants to set up a lemonade stand to raise money for whatever reason, cashless would not work, and using debit payments, costs the vender for each transaction and once again, big banks make more money! Like they don’t make enough!
Well, for one thing, the UA-camr guy should have noticed that the food court doesn't OPEN until 11am - and he was there at 10:30am. Which is probably why the ordering kiosks weren't working, and why not all food stalls were open yet. This guy is clueless.
Need a GOOD ETHICAL Realtor in Vegas? visit 👉vegasrealtorsitrust.com
Just looking for an ethical casino, so I came down to Biloxi lol
Ethical realtor or ethical anything in Vegas? Lol.
Steven ... This is off topic but I was told that you can get 3 hours free parking at Venetian/Palazzo on non-event days with a Nevada DL.

Imo. There should never be a cashless system.
Right. It is all about control.

They don’t take cash, they don’t get my business.
Same here no wonder nobody goes to resorts world
you better get with the times
I won’t step foot into this place ever again, or any cashless place in Vegas.
lol
Thus, nobody has a cash tip-jar.
The employees are getting fucked.
no the tip screen comes up.
Imo, the coming cashless world is very dangerous. They will know all financial transactions.
I'm currently in Biloxi Mississippi enjoying casinos the way they should be ran!
Real odds, free drinks flowing and always free parking!
My yearly vegas trips have turned into Louisiana and Mississippi trips! Way way way more enjoyable
and if you win too much they run you out of town just like the good old days in Vegas.
Former regular Vegas visitors are increasingly agreeing with you.
What casinos have the best comps in Biloxi? I'm going there soon.
Cash = FREEDOM
Cash is King
No cash, no business
NO cashless world needed.
Guess I won't be going to resort world ever
😢😂 another great reason to NOT visit RW. 😮
Good for them I’ll go somewhere that does take cash not everybody has credit cards their loss
Thxs. I’ll never go there!!!!
A cashless society equates to slavery. Don't ever give up your cash.
lol. you're not giving up your cash. you're just using your bank card or credit card that is then linked to your cash.
I will NOTdine anywhere that doesn't take cash! In Vegas, I only pay in cash!!!
I totally agree. Cash is king.
They don't want to take cash because they want you to tip on card!
This happened to me at subw.... They added on a tip so I refused to pay it and they gave me a story about they can't reverse it out. I gave them back the sandwich and left.
reminds me of the deserted mall videos
I like how he didnt read that the food court opens at 11 which is why the machine didnt work
yeah it said it on a sign above the screen and the screen itself
Came here to say that lol
very soon, no humans working there. Robots only. No more customers either. Machines Casino.
You've got to be 10% smarter than the machine to get it to work.
Unfortunately, this was a FAIL!
It's a BIG NO from me. You don't accept cash? You don't get my business.
Just another reason to avoid RW..
Dystopian society incoming
Democrats are coming for you.
Not a fan of the whole cashless thing. Yeah, I use credit and debit a lot but you should have a choice especially for fast food joints.
As a Canadian, we carry cash only. Costs too much for credit card use
Lame Cash is 👑 King
I prefer the choice of cash or card. I will not support a cashless business.
Often, businesses will offer a lower price for cash payment and may tack on a fee for payment with a card. Likewise, at the gas stations here.
Totally agree
I prefer to be able to use cash or credit/ debt cards.
Cash only people are very vocal about it like it's some matter of pride while in reality 90% of people never have cash. I always carry some but use my card when I can for the points and convenience..
Avoid cashless places like the plague. Thanks Steven.
It should be ilegal to not accept cash. Cash is "legal tender"
What's wrong with dollars?
They don't want physical dollars (cash,) they only want digital dollars.
@@sonigokuu Well, I do have ONE digit for them.
Ridiculous
From watching this video I came to a conclusion. That is to go across the Boulevard to the Wynn/Encore for far better food and service.
Yes, Wynn/Encore has better food, but you're not getting any meal for under $30.
But yet they will take cash for gambling??

I’ve stayed at resorts world once and wouldn’t stay again due to the fact it’s cashless
I have never stepped foot in resorts world because I heard they don't take cash! I find it amusing that we welcome all these foreign companies in that don't accept our currency

yes, the Resorts World food court is cashless. but that is not what is going on in other food courts in Vegas.
you said it was 10:30 a.m. the kiosks clearly say not open until 11:00 a.m. and you're surprised they don't work???
And supposedly one of the bigger names from that property got in trouble for money laundering

Are they going to cashless because of a fear of skimming by the businesses? It would effect percentage leases.

First many of the ticket redemption machines won’t give you coins and now some of the restaurants card only.
I'm glad you showed this. I will take my cash elsewhere. Hard enough to get good food. Don't need this hassle.
I prefer to pay cash however cashless has become the way of the world. I can save the cash to pay for the extra credit card purchases.
If you handle money with your hands and then put your hands in your mouth, you will get sick
There are cameras at all point of sale terminals, accepting cash is supposed to result in termination.
