This time we will learn how to say "but"; "however" in Japanese.
Do you know the differences between "でも (demo)", "けど (kedo)", "ですが / ますが (desu ga / masu ga)", "しかし (shikashi)" and "のに (noni)"?
You'll also learn how to say "no buts" in Japanese.
Especially learning how to use the のに will make you sound more native and natural when speaking Japanese!

Sorry about the echo! I have to film a video in a corridor because my ratties are going wild in another room... But I'll buy a better microphone/equipments soon!
Cool!
全然大丈夫ですよ。😁
Daijobou Sensei
Sensei, I think the japanese subtitle in 33:43 is incorrect (the latin words, not the kanji/hiragana ones)
i recommend a lapel mic. :)
でも beginning of video
しかし 13:10
けど/が 17:40
のに 32:10
Summary 36:10
Closing by Misa Sensei: 37:40
No one else said it so I will ありがとう
どうもありがとう ( ◠‿◠ )
@@YoIntangible but i have a comfuison that ,is ただし also means but like でも andしかし
@@hritesh7 can you rephrase that
The best Japanese channel on UA-cam!
Ya ikr
Word
best Japanese channel in the Universe!! (in Universe 7 if you get the reference!!)
For sure
Professional, entertaining, attractive, and clear explanations of advanced japanese
I like how you colored the sentence, That's alot of effort. Thank you so much.
I love having the version without subtitles and the もう一回! Useful listening practice!
But these are the best subtitles and annotations ever! I like how very explanatory they are and reveille the sentence structure. For listening only, I simply move a window to cover them up. If nothing else, one could just use a piece of paper, or close your eyes.
Some people still need subtitles, like me.
u can get that with Patreon support?
Very useful stuff.👍🌹
Like the bilingual subtitle, 🇯🇵+🇬🇧
especially the colour work.❤💛💚💙💜
Yea ikr
Nice choice of emoji 🙃
This lesson had so much detail and contextual explanation put into it! It is so incredibly helpful and considerate. Fantastic! Your lesson style is great and you keep working to improve it. Very commendable.
You know, I greatly appreciate the effort that goes into these videos. I know how hard it is to have different colors of text when it comes to video editing, as well as having to make them light up or dim down. I'm super impressed! Whoever edits these videos (I imagine Misa?) is a super hard worker and very good!
Hmm I'll try a little bit what I learned in this episode lol! Hmm.... I like BiSH... DEMO Band Maid has a bigger place in my heart lol!
長時間日本語を勉強していますが、今日まで「のに」の意味か使い方がすっかり分からないような気がして、「もう、分かりやすくて詳しく説明してくれる動画とかあればいいのに・・・」と言っていました。今度もありがとうございます。大変助かりました。
I saw this 3-line all japanese comment and it scared me a bit. Then I tried to read it and I understood waay more than I thought I would ! Getting input like that is fun as well.
It's interesting with japanese how even though there are words are don't know or wouldn't know how to pronounce, I stil can understand their meaning.
I didn't know "長時間" but knew the kanji so I guessed it meant 'a long period of time'
If you asked me how 'べんきょう' is written in kanji I wouldn't exactly picture it, but I can always recognise it.
I didn't know "今度" nor the "度" kanji before, but knowing "今" makes it easy to understand what kind of thing it would mean, using the sentence other words and context as well.
Japanese is fun

You dont have boyfriend can you be my girlfriend? 😜😜
Thank you so much Misa for not only teaching us all to speak Japanese, but for also going in to so much detail and depth with your work. Thank you for the efforts with the subtitled/non subtitled versions of each segment, the coloring of the words for visual understanding, and the extra effort that you even put in to your acting. You work so hard to teach us all your native language, and I think it's only fair for me to put in the same amount of effort to learn it. I live in Hawaii so I'm exposed to the Japanese language on a daily basis. You make my life easier lol.
Omg I’m about to cry in relief right now. Thank you SOOOOO SO much for actually explaining the sentence structure and grammar to people like me; I’m seriously trying to learn Japanese for the absolute first time. (Yes, I have 10 years of anime in English subs but rly you don’t get far). I love learning new vocab but it’s been a few days and I need to know what’s going on with the syntax and why!!!
So again: arigato gozaimasu! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You’re amazing aaaand I am so glad you have made these videos.
P.S.- you are gorgeous and I love your hair; it really complements your complexion!
This is basically a free detailed lesson on par with any textbook with great explanations on it's actual use in everyday japanese. Amazing content.
The absolute best Channel for learning japanese
What a wonderfully useful video!! I loved the parts where you showed us a little dialogue with no subtitles at first. Very nice
Better echo than no video. 大丈夫 ですよ。
I love your breaking up of sample sentences, including colour coding and structures explanation. This means everything. I would love to see you doing some series with long sentences or complex sentences with such a walkthrough. Not only me but I bet people would go crazy!
I love that Misa sensei uses *COLOR* *CODING* for her example sentences! YOU ARE SUCH AN EFFECTIVE and VERY GOOD TEACHER, MISA SENSEI. ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU.
That was the class I was waiting for my entire Japanese student career!!!
Thanks a bunch, Misa Sensei!

Thank you for clearing up years of confusion! And I love the colour coded breakdowns of the sentences, the useful word and phrase explanations, and the extra insights about speaking more naturally. Patreon, here I come.
THANK YOU! Your videos are so clear and i like when you add little notes typed up in the video too!
I love how you not only teach the topic but add some helpful mini facts and explanations, it really helps since you don't always know what should you learn next in a language. Thank you so much!
Your lesson is so much in-detail. I really love it. you are one of the best teachers I have ever had in my life.
I really appreciate it when you also include the formal way of phrasing the sentences like you did at 5:24 since formal is applicable everywhere.
I always love the cocky-looking Misa from the left in the conversations xD Great lesson!
these videos are always packed up with a lot of useful information, tysm!
Love the first part of this video, I think simulating conversations makes it feel a lot more natural and helps the brain become more active towards real comprehension of the language. I love your channel and videos though! really helpful stuff!
Thank you so much, Misa. You really are an excellent teacher! I'm learning the language much faster and much more efficiently than I would have ever imagined.
i love the colored subtitle, it really helps a lot!!

@@topesjeebal8760 very true, but I feel rewriting it and organizing it (sort of) in my own way helps me remember. But Misa definitely does a great job already.
