I guess Kedo is mostly used in Tokyo area. In Osaka, they may say it in a different way. May be keredomo is used in Higashi nihon area.

Thank you for this video. I noticed that "kedo" was being used in anime and I realized it probably meant "but" or "however," but I was having trouble figuring out when to use kedo or demo.

I use でも casually and formally
Sometimes I use けど or だけど in casual
I don’t use しかし coz its too formal

Haruka sensei, that was soooooo helpful! I was always so confused about these words, never was able to find out how to use them. Your teaching was clear and thorough, thank you so much! :)

    This is great.
I've been listening to a lot of Japanese podcasts for beginners and I am constantly hearing "desu kedo" or "n desu kedo". This is by far the best explanation of it that I have come across!
Hope to see more lessons soon, the format is great.
    Thanks Haruka.

    hello sensei
this lesson was really helpful but I was wondering is it possible to use a verb in its dictonary form and then end the sentence with the polite form ? 新しい服を買ったけど、全然着ていません。

when you said fuku wo, it sounded like fuko 2:25, without the ku being pronounced is this correct? . But you emphasized fuKU wo at 1:34
