Had this issue with a tractor at work, took a few tries. Would recommend if you have a mobile compressor and are out in the field (or far away from a shop with an air compressor), A small generator and a small compressor tank (6gal is what I'm using) works.
Thanks Karen---to guy in other comment---LMAO----this tip helped me tremendously so I thank you very much for taking the time to post something useful 👍
Worked perfect for me after spending over an hour on all the other hack tricks I've heard of. Dish soap was the winner. Doesn't have anything to do with the slippery qualities of it; it's the thicker viscosity that helps it to seal the bead JUST enough to get air in it and push the walls up against the rim. Thanks again!
Great idea. I had a guy this week show me a trick with mechanics hand cleaner. He wipes his rims with it and it makes getting them on and off pretty easy.
Most of the time when the tire come off the rim is because of low or loss of air. Need to have a maintenance schedule to prevent it from happening. A mechanic showed me a trick for hard to seal tires was to find the place where it leaks on the rim, and with the tire open place a single layer for toilet paper where the leak is and wet it with soap or tire sealer, them air it up.
Used to be able to do it with the old fashion starter fluid when it had a bunch of ethanol in it but the govt spoiled that. So we are going to give this a try hope it works
I wondered if I was the only one that couldn't get a "pop" from starting fluid anymore. I watch these videos where guys out on the trail pop their tires on, and anymore everything I light just burns and no explosion. I figured something went wrong with the formulation.
How to fix my rear tire could not get it to work are used the soap detergent like you did and it blew right up thanks for the tip assume you probably $300
I dunno... my tractor is two wheel drive and my strap is red and black. 🤔🤣😂 Another great idea to go along with this trick is if you have the luxury of being able to use your air compressor instead of just the transfer tank, use the hose straight from the compressor without the air chuck. it will put more air in at one time and might make a lot of difference if getting itthe bead to seat is marginal. thanks for the video.👍🏻
This worked! The one person clever enough I would’ve called is no longer alive, so thank you so much for the tip.

Thankful, from here in Idaho👍
Thanks man! Yeah saved me big time when I learned this!
I got this to work after my 3rd try. I wasn’t getting enough even pressure around the tire. Thanks!
Good to know it helped!

Thanks for this idea. I tried it and it worked!!!! Saved me a trip to tire shop.
Thank you! Did the trick on wheelbarrow tire, when flammable stuff people talk about didn't work. Pure strength palmolive.
Excellent! This way is easier and safer!

Worked like a charm, thanks for the tip!!!
It works!
I tried it without the soap and it didn't work, then i tried it with the soap and was amazed when it worked immediately. Thanks for sharing the tip!
Glad to help!
This worked perfect. Thanks so much for posting this.
It’s a lifesaver!
Worked Beautifully! Took me 5 minutes. Thank you!
Your welcome!

God bless UA-cam. Struggled for an hour with ratchet straps. With the soap it worked in about a minute. Thank you!
Easy peasy. Thanks. I think we have the same tractor too.
It really works!
Just tried this. It works!
Yes it does!
Hey tom, next time try some starting fluid and light it. Lift the front end off the ground with the loader. Works like a charm every time too
I’ve heard about that method, just makes me nervous!
@@WhistleThicket yeah it can be a little nerve racking, just go easy on the spray and you should be good. Hope the family is well
Very helpful video!!! Thank you
It really works!
I think the soap just helps the bead slip on better, tire guy used bead sealer, I’m gonna get a bead blaster...
This worked wonders for us thank you!
Worked perfectly, thanks so much!!
Soap is for lubing it to slide over the hump and seat easier, not a seal
Gonna try this. I got blue Dawn tho. Hope it still works.

Love hearing this!

thanks for the video.👍🏻
Two people work better have one pushing down on the rim and the other pumping air in until it takes. My dad and I just did this on a 650 John Deere
pretty dawn dish soap can do anything
Good and okay are subjective. It'll happen again, but for the price of this fix I say do it till u actually need another tire
its off the bead, not the rim.... remove the valve stem and reinflate until it seats
It’s the easiest way to seal the bead.
You didn’t even show us what you did with this strap!
You don't put a rim on a tire. The tire goes on a rim.
Thanks Karen!
