His voice is a treasure..Its like a finely a tuned bell with smooth husky undertones. He’s also incredibly astute and concise for someone with a creative mindset.
Nice to get to know Don Henley a bit more than when he was part of that great Eagles band. He is very intelligent, articulate, thoughtful....and incredibly talented. Cass County is one of the best albums to come along in decades. Most, if not all, of the songs are exceptional. I feel so blessed to have this wonderful music in my collection!

Actually, Henleys voice has changed, albeit subtly, over the decades. He had a somewhat throaty and husky voice in the 70’s (Witchy Woman and Best of My Love), became more nasally in the 80’s (Dirty Laundry and End of the Innocence) and by the 2000’s it became more like Ronald Isley (Fast Company).
OK Henley- not that you have anything to prove but you've long talked about doing an R&B album. It's a genre you know well- from One of These Nights to Not Enough Love In This World, etc. As someone once said, "there's just so many summers, just so many springs."

This interview was made just three months before Glenn's passing. So sad!
Don knows his stuff !!
Yes, the answer is in the middle…for a fella who is always on the extreme end and unwilling to compromise…it sounds like he is learning.
Don Henley's voice sounds the same to me. Love his voice
Congradulations
he is the greatest
Actually, Henleys voice has changed, albeit subtly, over the decades. He had a somewhat throaty and husky voice in the 70’s (Witchy Woman and Best of My Love), became more nasally in the 80’s (Dirty Laundry and End of the Innocence) and by the 2000’s it became more like Ronald Isley (Fast Company).
I've always felt the same. He became much more nasally in his solo career
OK Henley- not that you have anything to prove but you've long talked about doing an R&B album. It's a genre you know well- from One of These Nights to Not Enough Love In This World, etc. As someone once said, "there's just so many summers, just so many springs."
I will say he has definitely mellowed with age. He was THE biggest malcontent God ever created during his Eagles years.
He really is good people.
He is also a very good Manager.
A very good interview...
