Call me crazy but Don Henley and Glenn Frey were kind of jealous of Don Felder like WNBA players are jealous of Caitlin Clark. Without Hotel California, who would even know the Eagles as anything other than just another AWB?
Ok, you're certifiably crazy. Lol. They brought him in because they needed a lead guitarist. He clearly fit the bill and did really well. Not really a writing or singing powerhouse in a band known for writing and singing (and arranging). Of course when Walsh came in it was Felder who took more of a back seat though Walsh is not a competitive guy. They brought in Walsh because they wanted more rock edge. So jealous? Hard to see of what. They clearly were getting frustrated with him. It always seemed like Felder overplayed his hand. As for Hotel California, both Henley and Frey said all Felder provided was an interesting chord progression. No melody, no lyrics (or ideas for either) and certainly no arrangement. A chord progression isn't a song. So giving Felder credit was a bit of a gift although it is probably true HC wouldn't have happened without the start point. And Felder would certainly not have written it on his own. One other thing... Eagles were firmly cemented in rock history long before HC was released. AWB had what? 2 hits? Eagles were on the charts for years.
My favorite guitarist of all time, The legend Don Felder ❤😍🔥
Naw, SRV takes that trophy. And there will be many more to add their favorites but too many guitarists say Stevie was the one that had them in ah
@@shanewoods1980 I said *My if u read it correctly. Doesn't have to be ur favorite.

“No eagle um, no ego….”. That’s called a Freudian Slip.
Does this guy ever age? Geez man. I think he found what Ponce de León was looking for.

No argument here.
I'd have watched the video but "Bobby" is just full of himself. WTF?
