seriously so happy for you both!!! obviously super sad I won't be doing our yearly UK trip together, but I think Drew needed to go there more than I do ❤
Ahhhh Carrie!! I live in London and it was so nice to hear you being so excited to come to London with Drew! :)) ah yeah I remember the Primark Greggs collab, everyone was like huuuh who would buy that, but I get it now, for tourists it could be quite cool :)) I hope you’ll have the best time here in London. It’s been pouring all day today, 14 degrees, definitely bring waterproof shoes and clothes with you and also layering pieces, in Autumn here you never know what kind of weather you get, it really can change from one day to the other. I hope I get to see you in person one day, either in the UK or in LA. I’m planning to go to LA at some point and do a looooot of thrifting there :))))
Yay!! Driving in the UK is surprisingly easy to adjust to! It took me like an hour and then I felt like a pro! Biggest tip is looking up the signs ahead of time. My UK husband was there to help explain them to me, but some are super different than the US! Have so so so much funnnnn!!!
My toxic trait is if I’m out of the house close to lunch time I’m going to stop and get food. I want to be the person who has”food at home” and then actually goes home to eat said food. Maybe one day. 🤞🏻 That salad looked so good though!
Out of boredom (and cos I had lots of skin problems myself some time ago so I kind of became a skincare geek) I googled your skincare products ingredients and I have a few suggestions if you don't mind: 1. Toner isn't really neccessary and not supposed to clean the skin again (your double cleansing is sufficient for that), if you use one I highly recommend something basic or a Korean Toner like Klairs Supple Prep Unscented Toner or something else with Centella . 2. Most of your products seem to include essential oils (especially citrus and rose oil are super damaging for your skin) and plant oils (which can trigger acne unless it's Squalane), for your Serum and Night Moisturizer I'd go for something noncomedogenic that still strenghtens your skin barrier. Great serums: I'm From Mugwort Essence (expensive but works wooonders for breakouts), Byoma Clarifying Serum, Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid etc. They don't have to be super expensive to work, often basic unscented drugstore stuff works best as there isn't tons of garbage in it to make it feel luxurious. Same with Moisturizers. Some people have good luck with Cerave, I didn't so now I use the Hadalabo Perfect Gel Cream - YMMV. James Welsh and Dr Dray are both great in terms of no-nonsense Skincare suggestions. Hope this might help! take care and have a great trip to England xx
That’s lovely news about you both coming to the UK! Hope you have a fab time 🎉 I live in Nottingham (about 1.30-2hrs away from London on a train) and can honestly say the weather is ridiculous atm. Mixture of lovely sunny days and pouring rain! Mostly been wearing layers when out and about so can either take cardigan, zip up hoodie off if needed. Make sure to bring an umbrella or waterproof coat with you! Be ready to be in heavy traffic coming in and out of London. But after that shouldn’t be too bad. Be ready to drive around a lot of roundabouts!
Definitely go to Richmond Park to see the deer, and to Kew Gardens! It's maybe a bit of a trek across the city but Blackheath Village is so lovely and a short walk from Greenwich Park, which has incredible views of the city skyline 🌇
I'm so excited for your UK trip! I moved to London from the US last year and it's been amazing - as a fellow Ted Lasso fan you guys will LOVE Richmond! Def recommend Richmond park if you have time as it's gorgeous and there's always deers around 🥰
I always like your cheesy Christmas movie reviews. I would enjoy a Q and A and support easy but festive activities like decorating and making cookies. Don't know if that is helpful. I'll really watch anything you put out. I would watch daily but would gladly watch every other day or every couple days for your sanity!
Best advise for jetlag. Sleep on the planes. Hit the ground running. No naps. Power through. Get to the hotel, change, shower if you must, then leave. Push yourself until night time then sleep. It's the fastest way to beat the lag. Same thing when you get back home. Push yourself to keep going. It's rough that first day, but it's the quickest way to adjust. And driving there isn't as weird as it seems. Once you're in the car it makes sense.
Your trip sounds so exciting! I have been to the UK a few times and have driven there as well. It’s pretty easy to get used to, but I will say prepare yourself for the roundabouts! I live in New England and we have them here but of course we call them rotaries. They are a little daunting at first, but I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it!
I'm from the UK and at the moment we're experiencing 22 - 24 degrees celsius but the weather is supposed to cool down for the rest of the week, so we're hoping it'll be around 12 - 14 degrees celsius which will defo be more appropriate for Autumn. Hope you have a lovely trip! And watchout for the roundabouts, there are so many, just approach slowly if you're unsure, look at the signs and the arrows painted in the road, and remember to drive around them clockwise haha!
You have to go to The Cheese Bar!!! There's one in 7 Dials near Covent Garden. My husband and I went to London at the end of our honeymoon and stopped here for happy hour. It's like conveyor belt sushi but with CHEESE along with their pairings and wine. It was a highlight for me since I love cheese so much. If you have time, its a must visit!
Carrie, I do that with my kale all the time! That way it won't go bad in the fridge. Plus it part of the frozen part of the smoothie. I do the same with lemons; the WHOLE lemon. So good for us!
Long time lurker, first time commenter - but thought to mention since you're coming to London and doing a lot of museum kind of things, there is a really cool interactive AR art exhibition at The Now Building (near Tottenham Court Road) which is running from now until Christmas called The Butterfly Trail and it looks magical and I feel would be such a cute excursion for the two of you! 🦋
omg if you’re going to the cotswolds there’s this super cute village called eastleach with an amazing pub and a stream running through it-it’s so picturesque and beautiful!!!
I make a hot chocolate electrolyte (from hydromate) and it’s my favorite part of my night, it’s so cozy! So I totally understand the chocolate milk before bed 😂
Just a heads up from the land of kale (The Netherlands) raw kale is hard on the digestive tract. Putting it in some kind of acid and salt overnight makes it easier to digest.
You know what’s funny I was thinking of going to Newcastle (it’s less than 2hour flight) but than I got free nights for Las Vegas and now it’s Vegas 😂🎉
So excited for you to get to finally go together!! Carrie, I think Drew would love Dishoom in London! You'll need reservations but it's some of the best Indian food I've ever had
Def would love to see more cooking content! I'm trying so hard to also try new things & make more nourishing meals. So nice to see someone cooking something normal & just being normal about it lol 😂. 💖
Girl we might be in London around the same time! We are leaving today for our honeymoon and will be in London the 18-22! I’m also looking forward to checking out Richmond we are planning to go to the pub from the show 😄 hope you guys have fun also!
That’s so exciting! A day trip to Brighton would be an easy train and lots of fun. Don’t worry about a heatwave at the end of October. It’s so unlikely. It’s unseasonable warm here at the moment, but in the autumn the weather can drop suddenly! Bring your woollies.😂😘
I studied abroad in Australia in 2018 so I was 21 and I adapted to driving on the left so fast! It’s a lot easier than you think because the driver sits on the other side of the car too so it’s the same concept just reverse haha
I am SO STINKING happy for y'all to go to the UK!! I know how long it's been a dream to go together, please tell me you're vlogging so I can live through you because it's also my dream 😂 but also if you aren't vlogging and want to just enjoy a camera free more private trip I also understand 🤍
I'm so happy for you guys getting to head to England! If you fancy a little trip over to Ireland while you're so nearby... you would love it here. Little Belfast or Dublin meet up ❤
I like smoothies that aren’t too sweet, so I like a lot of greens and just enough fruit to keep it from being bleh. And whenever I’m at a new smoothie shop, I am asking them, which is the one that’s the least sweet. Totally recommend a vita mix because I’m really over the crappy appliances. I’m too old for crappy appliances.
I’ve been going to an aesthetician for facials for over a year now. I really did it because I was in a weddings last summer and I didn’t want to feel insecure about my skin. I went into it not knowing too much about skin care and just hoping to reduce my breakouts. I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin from a year ago to now. My breakouts are so much more controlled and less frequent. I have products that actually work for my skin now and a routine that I’m able to keep up with in my day to day. I will say it does take time to see results. I definitely noticed a difference after 3 months, my complexion as a whole was more even and that progress has only continued. I’m so glad I decided to invest in this form of self care and I’m excited to see if it works for you too!
I was sorting my massive pile of dirty laundry while watching your video and when you mentioned you too had a pile of dirty laundry it made me feel better.
Yaaas, so happy for you. I knew when you said in a few videos ago, that its probably gonna be england...I was thinking to go to Scotland or something like this as well but it seems to be quite expensive these days so I might save up some money and go next spring
Ah yay! So happy for you to come back here 🇬🇧 Quick tip - Make sure you request an automatic when you hire a car, a lot of new cars are automatic here now but majority of us in the UK drive a manual (stick shift) as that’s been the norm for so long, so just a warning just in case haha! Hope you have the best time, the Cotswolds is honestly so beautiful I love it there, so many lovely villages to explore! ♥️
Congratulations on your trip! I’m so happy for you and Drew! You make me smile Carrie you really do! I also use the protein powder you use KOS chocolate flavor.
So excited for you to be coming to the UK. Don't worry about the heatwave.....its not a US heatwave....it'll be like your winter....lol! Come to Wales one year, lots to do in Cardiff......❤ x
In case you haven't thought of it yet... Given you love Bake Off, you should visit the country house where its filmed (Welford park) itd be perfect when you're travelling between London and the Cotswolds. They have a special woodland trail on at the end of Oct for visitors. Occasionally those places do afternoon tea or at least a scone with jam too :) Also, if you wanna do somewhere else different - Edinburgh is such a lovely city, so much to do and lots of spooky, gothic but cosy vibes!
I used to think that toner was just to remove any extra makeup that cleansing didn't grab, but it's also for rebalancing your skin's pH levels after cleansing. I'm glad your Esty told you to have damp skin for application of the hyaluronic acid- if there isn't enough moisture on your skin it will PULL moisture OUT.
Carrie, I know you've been before. But if you haven't gone INSIDE the Tower Bridge, I highly recommend it. It is still more than a year later, one of my favorite things I did on my first trip to London. There was just something about it. 😊
Hi Carrie! Do this touch your cabinet in between applying your serums. It is dirty, when your skin is damped whatever you put on top of your skin permeates easily, in this case, it is the dirt😅
seriously so happy for you both!!! obviously super sad I won't be doing our yearly UK trip together, but I think Drew needed to go there more than I do ❤
You can totally just freeze the spinach leaves whole, and add them to smoothies. It blends easier, and it won't water your smoothie down!
You measure recipes just like me! "We don't have that, but I don't care. It calls for this much but let's do this much." 🤣🤣🤣
Def thought y’all were moving… you’ve always talked about one day doing it. But have so much fun Drew on your first trip!!! ❤
Not me reading engaged instead of england on the thumbnail.. I didn't know I can click so fast 🤣😅
Love you guys!
LITERALLY SAME !!
Me too?? I had to go back Lolol
Me too!!
Hahaha me too
Same
Drew saying he wants to go to Greggs as I eat my Greggs on the train 😂
I misread the thumbnail and legit thought y'all were announcing engagement and then I dropped my breakfast
Yay!! Driving in the UK is surprisingly easy to adjust to! It took me like an hour and then I felt like a pro! Biggest tip is looking up the signs ahead of time. My UK husband was there to help explain them to me, but some are super different than the US! Have so so so much funnnnn!!!
vlog that trip as much as you can!!! i’m going to london in november and i CAN NOT WAIT🎉
My toxic trait is if I’m out of the house close to lunch time I’m going to stop and get food. I want to be the person who has”food at home” and then actually goes home to eat said food.

that's so nice of you
you just changed my life with the spinach cubes I usually just throw the bag in the freezer but this seems so much easier for blending wow tysm
That’s lovely news about you both coming to the UK! Hope you have a fab time 🎉
I live in Nottingham (about 1.30-2hrs away from London on a train) and can honestly say the weather is ridiculous atm. Mixture of lovely sunny days and pouring rain!

Make sure you take all your skincare down to your neck/chest! Those areas show age the fastest, and are the hardest to treat! Love your vlogs!
Definitely go to Richmond Park to see the deer, and to Kew Gardens! It's maybe a bit of a trek across the city but Blackheath Village is so lovely and a short walk from Greenwich Park, which has incredible views of the city skyline 🌇
Yes I second Greenwich Park! Gorgeous views from the top and you’re right on the meridian line
I'm so excited for your UK trip! I moved to London from the US last year and it's been amazing - as a fellow Ted Lasso fan you guys will LOVE Richmond! Def recommend Richmond park if you have time as it's gorgeous and there's always deers around 🥰
The memories you just unlocked with the chocolate slim fast mention omg
This is so exciting! Would you consider visiting Scotland (that's where I live!)?! It's breathtaking here!
Ahhhhh!!! I’m so excited for you both!!!! 🤍🤍🤍

Omg! Woooo so exciting! Richmond is really pretty you’ll love it 😍
If you have a small rice cooker, you can cook your quinoa in it. :) I usually add broth instead of water for flavour.
The slimfast in the cans - totally nostalgic for me too!
Yay! I’m so excited for you both! Drew is gonna be living his best life! Can’t wait for travel vlogs if you decide to film them! ❤

You'll be fine! I just drove on my honeymoon in Ireland and was sooo nervous and it wasn't that bad. Just be cautious and go slow!
in London you should visit Hampstead and Hampstead heath if you haven’t already!!
Gosh, I love you and drew! You guys are the cutest! So excited for him to get to finally go. I definitely want to go there with my husband someday.
I live near the Cotswolds and I would definitely recommend Bibury and Tetbury, so beautiful!

So excited for you! I just went to London end of July/beginning of August and I miss it already
Just a heads up from the land of kale (The Netherlands) raw kale is hard on the digestive tract. Putting it in some kind of acid and salt overnight makes it easier to digest.
Eggs and bacon kinda gal in the morning. Happy for your new travel plans!
You know what’s funny I was thinking of going to Newcastle (it’s less than 2hour flight) but than I got free nights for Las Vegas and now it’s Vegas 😂🎉
I was just about to say your outfit is adorable! That is my favorite Maiden album.
So excited for you to get to finally go together!! Carrie, I think Drew would love Dishoom in London! You'll need reservations but it's some of the best Indian food I've ever had
Completely second this. Dishoom is delicious!

The fact that UA-cam doesn't notify me anymore but so far this is a great vlog!

I usually always have frozen spinach at home, it's perfect for smoothies and for making impromptu spinach sesame salad for lunch x3
I’ve been going to an aesthetician for facials for over a year now. I really did it because I was in a weddings last summer and I didn’t want to feel insecure about my skin. If you go to Westminster Abbey, I recommend the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Galleries! Such a special hidden place and totally worth the extra 5 pounds!
The new nutribullet looks really nice!
I was sorting my massive pile of dirty laundry while watching your video and when you mentioned you too had a pile of dirty laundry it made me feel better.

Scottish girl here! Yes, come to Scotland, you wont regret it. The scenery is truly breathtaking. just remember your raincoat
As an American I just came back from Ireland & Scotland. If she loves England I met she’d love Scotland!!

Put some ice in your chocolate milk (and if you shake it its even better), it'll change your life! So excited for you guys!!!

I can’t wait to see all the videos from England! I’m so glad y’all are going to see Jazz and Nick!!!
The silk dark chocolate milk is the best
Ah yay! So happy for you to come back here 🇬🇧 Quick tip - Make sure you request an automatic when you hire a car, a lot of new cars are automatic here now but majority of us in the UK drive a manual (stick shift) as that’s been the norm for so long, so just a warning just in case haha!
Also it has been an unseasonably warm October in the UK (I’m an hour from London) and it’s supposed to cool down a fair bit by end of October, it won’t be cold cold though just autumnal with chilly mornings and evenings (hopefully!)
Hope you have the best time, the Cotswolds is honestly so beautiful I love it there, so many lovely villages to explore! ♥️
I really enjoyed watching you vlog you making your lunch! It was very relaxing! I also love your vlogs in general! I love you as well!
You must experience Scotland too!

We bought a refurbished Vitamix and it is still going strong after a few years.

So happy for you and Drew that you will be finally both go to England.
7 days! Not long enough for England!
Cotswolds! Beautiful. They have an Xmas shop there.
I’m from 🇬🇧
It was 75 degrees today about 2 hours from London 😅. I have my ac on
Carrie, I know you've been before. But if you haven't gone INSIDE the Tower Bridge, I highly recommend it. It is still more than a year later, one of my favorite things I did on my first trip to London. There was just something about it. 😊
