As someone said something similar, but weight lifting will help you get stronger and fitter faster than cardio. It’s so rewarding. I have pcos too and it helped me.
I completely agree! I stopped focusing on cardio and put more of an emphasis on weight lifting and I feel so good! I also go to a kickboxing class 2x and week and man, I feel like a badass haha
You should really try weight lifting- I have a lot of the same health issues as you do (pcos, etc) and it has fundamentally changed my life. Muscle gain really has made the most difference for me than anything else. ❤
Agreed! And also I'm someone who's never liked working out until weight lifting. It's the only thing I don't find boring! I think bc it's so many little breaks in-between in just focusing for a short amount of time (a set) opposed to like 45 min straight of doing things.
@ me as well! I do a mix of both through the week and those days that you don’t feel like planning make it so much easier to have a weightlifting class.
Girl, I remember you saying in a previous vlog you you’d be open to trying a workout class and I think you’d love the environment! I do a cardio and weights class at my gym and I can’t tell you how much I love it. The community is wonderful, meeting new people, and the accountability with others being around you is so so good. You should def try it for a few weeks!
I really do love workout classes!! I’m focusing on at home workouts for these first 30 days but I can’t wait to try Pilates, spin, barre etc as the year goes on 😍
I love seeing you guys being the best auntie and uncle to Drew's neices 🥹💜 I know your stance on you guys having kids so I feel like you guys are truly great auntie and uncle!
Your skin looks absolutely amazing, Carrie! I'm so glad you found something that works for you. I struggled with my skin for so many years and I feel like new things pop up as you age with skin. Really enjoyed your skincare routine 😊
I use Andalou sensitive skin with rose water and it has done amazing things for my rosacea. I use the toner after I workout because when I flush I flare and it helps prevent the pustules.
Hi Carrie, i have rosacea and the im from mugwort toner before you apply anything.. so natural and works so well. Its so good for skin irritation. You'll love it
You are such a sweet couple. I truly enjoy watching you share time with your niece and family, I could feel the love. I also want to tell you that you are a beautiful woman with or without makeup or with or without makeup. Thank you for sharing I find your videos to be very peaceful. 🙏🥰
So great that you're seeing improvments with your skin! Rosacea is so tricky... I struggled with a bit of it on my chin. Have you heard of Dr. Zo skincare? They have some products for rosacea, I've had great results so far!
Video request! Could you do a video showing your favourite workout clothing in your closet, like what is comfortable, stays in place during dance cardio, that sort of thing? I struggle to find sets that fit comfortably, stay in place, look cute and are affordable so I would love to hear your recommendations (also anyone in the comments) 🫶🏻 edited to add: I am willing to invest in better quality/more expensive pieces but I just want to know which ones are worth it!
Hi Carrie :) I don’t know if this is recommended or helpful but I bought a laser hair removal online and started to use it on my face. I noticed that my skin started to clear up and I don’t have acne like I use to. Maybe worth a try 🤷🏻♀️
Try a little baking soda and water for heartburn and also Cantalope will subside it almost instantly, so keep melon on hand! Chronic heartburn girlie here.
I tried a lot of stuff and it definitely threw my skin out of whack. Eventually I went to a dermatologist and now I just take spironolactone, use moisturizer, and like once a week use some rosehip oil. That's it. Well, I also use sunscreen everyday. But I've found that the fewer things I use the better. I don't even use a different moisturizer during the day versus at night anymore.
Love you so much Carrie! Just a thought but have you thought about how dairy affects you/your skin? I know there's quite a bit of research about the connection between dairy and skin issues. Just curious if you've considered that!
I’m in Philly and there’s a target overstock store in the suburbs Store name “half price store” It’s all target overstock, seasonal items and maybe online returns? It’s def hit or miss (like the thrift) but I’ve even gotten essentials vs like toilet paper and ice melt crazy cheap.
Hi! I'm also a rosacea sufferer and based on appearance, have a more severe case than you. I am on metronidazole and am now wondering if the triple cream would be a better option for me; thank you for mentioning it! I also wanted to share that one thing that has really helped me is the squalane from The Ordinary. I apply it to my face right after cleansing my face with the oil-based CeraVe cleanser. I don't think it directly affects the rosacea, but it is so good for my dry skin, and I think moisturized skin is helpful for rosacea. 😊 The metronidazole gel is a bit drying on its own and having that initial layer of squalane first is helpful to me. Anyhow, good luck!! 😊
I feel you with the skin issues. I had acne from the age of 15-33. Insane, it was so miserable living with that. I finally had to do Accutane and I’m left with permanent joint paint and had other side effects while I was on it. It’s insane to me to think about that some people are so unbelievably lucky as far as skin goes.
i destroyed my skin twice with so much product trying to get the clear skin i saw on social media.. it's just never gonna be my journey! i don't feel alone now i always appreciate you sharing your journeys !! edit: the disposable towels are honestly a waste of money and bad for the environment; i purchased like 20 (excessive so i don't have to do laundry so frequently) small microfiber wash cloths that i use for 1-2 days just to dry off my face then wash so it's less waste! they're super soft and gentle on my skin too
Super grateful for your conversation on realistically healing your skin. I've dealt with eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, allergies and sensitivity all my life. Recently, I've been blasted with terrible acne during pregnancy and it's been a challenge. Thank you for sharing your journey! It's really encouraging to hear that we're not alone. 💕
I'm so surprised family medicine resident in Canada and I've been shouting Triple cream in comments for a couple years. It's one of our first line here. Odd that you had to ask for it!
Carrie, I would love any update later on about the Korean skin care pore reducing pads! My pores have always been huge and a big insecurity of mine. If you see a lot of improvement overtime I might just need to try them! 🙊
See if your dermatologist will send your prescription to skincueticals it’s an online pharmacy and the triple cream is like $50 and last a couple months.
Also a former cystic acne girl and I've learned that gentle is better with skincare. I still use actives like retinoids but I was a chronic over-exfoliator for years and I think it made my acne a lot worse and led to sensitive and irritated skin. Highly highly highly recommend a red light mask for your rosacea! They are expensive but it's the only thing that I've found that meaningfully helps with redness and inflammation in my skin. Prequel also makes a redness relief serum I've heard great things about but I haven't tried it myself The whole brand is made by a dermatologist who has rosacea and the products are very gentle but effective. She also does social media (Dr. Sam Ellis) and she's one of the few influencers I actually trust with skincare recommendations.
I’m loving Silo! Also thanks for the video. I really enjoy your content. I feel like since I let my hair go silver my skin looks dull. And none of my clothes color wise wise look good on me. I have no idea how to fix the situation and I refuse to dye my hair as it took 3 yrs for me to grow it out naturally. I don’t really have the budget to buy new clothes either… so that is what is happening with me!
Am I the only one who saw the floating orb at 22:45ish passing the doorway?? 😮 Also, I’ve had PCOS for about 10 years and the bad skin used to depress me and had tried everything. Then one day I saw that consuming a gallon of water would clear it up. THAT was life changing. It cleared “my beard” redness and shrunk my pores.
Carrie have you ever tried castor oil? We are the same age and I also have sensitive skin it doesn’t clog my pores and it’s full of antioxidants it’s helped with fine lines and it has do many good things in it!! You can use it on brows eyelashes skin and hair. Get the cold pressed unrefined in a glass bottle and it works wonders for my under eyes as well there’s a lot of good info about it on UA-cam if you wanna do some research :) ❤
My mom dealt with rosacea as an adult and she’s so struggled with it as long as I can remember. She did try a creamer too, and it did help, but she always looked flush in her skin. I am so glad you are seeing some results in your skin.
So happy for you and your skin update! That’s such a confidence booster! What got rid of your adult acne? I feel like we have gone through similar skin situations. I have had acne since HS but I still have it at 37 🤔?
I started using Azelaic acid as well in my skincare routine and have been having amazing results!! I'm so glad something has been working for you. I had cystic acne when I was younger, so I know the struggle of finding something that works for you. Having skin struggles can be so draining mentally. You are beautiful with and without "perfect" skin!!
Jail for not getting a rotisserie chicken or samples from Costco! What’s the point even going without those items lol? Sundays are the best sample day!
dont feel bad Carrie... my husband and I live just the two of us on biweekly costco grocery shopping. We go through all the things regularly haha. The prices are just too good.
I would look at Dr. Sam Ellis' UA-cam channel. She is a board Certified Dermatologist and she has specific videos for Rosacea care and has an amazing sensitive skin friendly skincare line.
Love you sharing your skin care journey!! Ivermectin and vanicream are amazing... Two things I feel like are not talked about enough... Filter for wherever your washing your face and a humidifier -- especially when your in a dry climate! Canopy has a good dishwasher safe one so you don't have to worry about mold. I went from the west coast to the east Coast then back to west and my skin went thru it!! So proud of you not giving up!
Have any of the healthcare professionals or tik tok influencers mention. the connection of rosacea and chronic "gut" diseases including SIBO? I am not giving any advice except think you should follow up on this.
When you said you asked your dermatologist about the triple cream and advocated for yourself to try it, that made me so happy. It’s such a challenge to speak up for yourself after going through difficult medical experiences or not being listened to by doctors. So happy for you that you took such a thoughtful and active role in your care plan - and it clearly paid off!! 💖
I had rosacea , i used ivermectin, i scaled back my skin care also to only 2 products.... skin healed... lmao. Its almost like were not supposed to use too much!
you are an actual godsend thank you for the tip about the triple cream. girl, same thing been trying for years to fix my rosacea and nothing has worked. definitely gonna hit up my dermatologist and request this!
18:29 I used those towels for years and did something similar where I would use it a few times before washing it. I realized that thing was actually so dirty and was just harboring a TON of bacteria. As soon as I switched to single use face towelettes, I saw a NOTICEABLE difference in my breakouts.
This just popped up on Google, "CR recently tested different foods and found that Fairlife's Core Power High Protein Chocolate Milk Shake product had among the highest levels of phthalates of any product it tested.Feb 22, 2024" 😮
omg, finally! I've been commenting left and right that you need the metronidazole and azelaic acid because I also have rosacea and this is the *only* thing that keeps it at bay and not just cos it works for me but because that what the studies say. If you are gentle and consistent with that the redness will be so minimal. I am very happy for you!

Girl! What happened to focusing on the positive this year!? You dont need to make any extra explanation or disclaimers, for like, groceries lol We ❤ you!
Something else you could add in to your skincare routine to help minimize irritation is a cleansing balm to take your makeup off instead of the makeup cloth. You should use the balm to rub off all your makeup with your hands, wash it off, then do your cleanser.
I know that Arizona isn't your dream location, but I'm loving how much time y'all have been able to spend with your nieces while you're still there.
Same ❤❤❤❤
As someone said something similar, but weight lifting will help you get stronger and fitter faster than cardio. It’s so rewarding. I have pcos too and it helped me.
Especially when you find a program you like and you start seeing results!!

Weight lifting also helped me change my relationship with working out and how I see my body as a whole! It’s been so amazing
I agree! I made it easier on myself by joining a gym that offers group classes with weightlifting so there were other beginners learning with me 😊
@ me as well! I do a mix of both through the week and those days that you don’t feel like planning make it so much easier to have a weightlifting class.

Aww that means so much! THANK YOU! ❤️
Just want to let you know that your videos remind me of OG lifestyle UA-camrs and it’s so comforting to watch!
dying over the strut 🤣
That was so adorable!
“Not the buttttt” hahahaha
I love how close you are to your nieces! So special and important for them! ❤
The auntie life is agreeing with you! You're so sweet together!
Being an aunt is the best!!

I’m a huge Vanicream girl!!! my nighttime routine is cleanse, tone, hydrate, vanicream, castor oil! aquaphor on my lips.
You are such a sweet couple. I truly enjoy watching you share time with your niece and family, I could feel the love.
I also want to tell you that you are a beautiful woman with or without makeup or with or without makeup. Thank you for sharing I find your videos to be very peaceful. 🙏🥰
Carrie you always look beautiful. Your skin looks amazing.
Perfect timing!!! Watching this while eating my lunch 💕
It seems like you both have so much free time I’m so jealous
I have been hoping for a Costco run on a vlog for so long!
ah yes.. the miracle of the makeup eraser and micellar water 🙌 i've never felt more seen lol
Your skin looks great CARRIE ❤ Hi DREW in case he reads your comments
Your niece is so stinking cute!! That little laugh!

Love the mug. I collect mugs and would definitely get one. Drew’s dragoon is adorable. Y’all did qreat job
I'm so here for the long vlogs :) love spending time with you (para socially 🤭)
Could you please share what the brand is of the triple cream you use? Thanks a bunch!

I was totally wondering if you knew about the DK remake game!! Glad you you got it. Hope you enjoy it!
Target outlets are hidden gems! You can get some great stuff there.
My daughter suffered from body acne mostly on her back and someone suggested using equate brand head & shoulders and it works.

This is me too! The pregnancy acne was not something I was prepared for
100% agree on the happiness of Costco switching to Coke 😂

whenever you said triple cream i kept thinking of brie cheese LOL
Black Thunder is not only the best Japanese chocolate, I personally think it’s the best chocolate bar in the world!
It is INSANELY GOOD!!! That bag is going to be gone in no time 😂
The vanicream cleanser is my #1 favourite drugstore cleanser. So good!
I’m loving Silo! Also thanks for the video. I really enjoy your content. I feel like since I let my hair go silver my skin looks dull. And none of my clothes color wise wise look good on me. Maybe you could just use a toner to make it a different shade of silver that suits your skin tone more?
@ I tried, the problem is if you don’t like it, you’re stuck with it for about a month, even with shampoo that is supposed to remove it.
Am I the only one who saw the floating orb at 22:45ish passing the doorway?? 😮

The Costco brand tuna is SO good.
Having a closet full of clothes but only wearing leggings is normal, right???? Asking for a friend 😂
Leggings are life!😂
Like I thought this was what we all did 😂😂😂 you aren’t alone!
Omg Carrie you are so beautiful without any makeup on! Your skin looks gorgeous!💕
Nieces giggle ❤❤❤❤
My mom dealt with rosacea as an adult and she’s so struggled with it as long as I can remember. She did try a creamer too, and it did help, but she always looked flush in her skin. I am so glad you are seeing some results in your skin.
Have y’all watched Landman on Prime? I really like it.
Enjoying it too!
I've never been so early to anything in my life 😂
Fairlife is so good!
Vanicream is the best!
Stock up on that fairlife they’ve discontinued the vanilla caramel and strawberry I’ve heard they’re also getting rid of chocolate soon
I can’t get over how good your hair looks
PSA just figured this out myself….perfect bars say they can be out at room temp for a week!!
Love Silo!
So happy for you and your skin update! That’s such a confidence booster!
What got rid of your adult acne? I feel like we have gone through similar skin situations. I have had acne since HS but I still have it at 37 🤔?
Another fellow adult acne struggler here. I think the triple cream would still work as azalaic acid has helped hugely with my acne.
I can totally tell a difference in your skin! My mom and sister both have rosacea too. I’ll have to let them know what you’ve been using.
I started using Azelaic acid as well in my skincare routine and have been having amazing results!! I'm so glad something has been working for you. I had cystic acne when I was younger, so I know the struggle of finding something that works for you. Having skin struggles can be so draining mentally. I went from worrying about acne to stressing about wrinkles it never ends i try to keep my cortisol as low as possible
Moisturizer + deep breaths
dont feel bad Carrie... my husband and I live just the two of us on biweekly costco grocery shopping. We go through all the things regularly haha. The prices are just too good.
I want to go to costco cause you guys make it look fun!
I would look at Dr. Sam Ellis' UA-cam channel. She is a board Certified Dermatologist and she has specific videos for Rosacea care and has an amazing sensitive skin friendly skincare line.
Can you please provide the name of the rosea triple cream? I also have rosea and am curious about it ❤
It's probably CCSD triple cream the triple cream for rosacea is three ingredients (azelaic acid, metronidazole, and ivermectin)
Have you tried going low nickel for food? I feel like we are acne twins. I had to cut out nickel and gluten - so much better!
When Carrie releases videos I feel so seen. I want to appreciate life like her.
Love your mug!!
Vanicream saved my skin after I had my first daughter. My skin was SO dry and now I even use it for my 4 month old on her eczema
I had rosacea , i used ivermectin, i scaled back my skin care also to only 2 products.... skin healed... lmao. Its almost like were not supposed to use too much!
Exactly!! Everyone I start adding more my skin freaks..
How do you like your sports bra? Been in the mood for one... :)
you are an actual godsend thank you for the tip about the triple cream. girl, same thing been trying for years to fix my rosacea and nothing has worked. definitely gonna hit up my dermatologist and request this!
American costco has so many different things than my Canadian costco. Jealous
I know 😢 I wish the Canadian Costoco was as good.
@@christineg6123 i love watching american blogs bc of their grocery stores!!!! Also to see a costco not horrendously busy is a real treat too lol
Your skin looks great! Also, your hair looks so beautiful with the new color and extensions! ❤
Highly agree!
Your niece is so funny!
I know this sounds weird/gross but beef tallow for rosacea is amazing research it just make sure you get the real thing
18:29 I used those towels for years and did something similar where I would use it a few times before washing it. I realized that thing was actually so dirty and was just harboring a TON of bacteria. As soon as I switched to single use face towelettes, I saw a NOTICEABLE difference in my breakouts.
I love how chill and real your vlogs are, I’m usually a silent viewer but just wanted to say how grateful I am to watch your long vlogs❤️
This means so so so much to me 🥹🫶 thank you!!! More grateful for you than you know!
I hope Fairlife doesn't get milk from abused cows anymore 😢
This just popped up on Google, "CR recently tested different foods and found that Fairlife's Core Power High Protein Chocolate Milk Shake product had among the highest levels of phthalates of any product it tested.Feb 22, 2024" 😮
Have you ever tried azelaic acid? It’s honestly the best thing you can use to treat rosacea.
❤❤❤
You should try rose hip seed oil!! It helps a lot with pigmentation and rosacea. I use it at night and it helped tremendously with my sun spots
You are soooo beautiful and I love watching you ❤ my favorite creator!
I also have rosacea! It sucks but i found that only washing my face in cold cold water helps so much and it feels good on the flush
omg, finally! I've been commenting left and right that you need the metronidazole and azelaic acid because I also have rosacea and this is the *only* thing that keeps it at bay and not just cos it works for me but because that what the studies say. If you are gentle and consistent with that the redness will be so minimal. I am very happy for you!
I looked up the perfect bars and they are 340 calories per bar, that's crazy
wow, there's fewer calories in a Cosmic Brownie lol
why comment this? what is the point? 😐
They are intentionally calorie dense.
If you like built bars then you HAVE to try Barebells protein bars! OMG I just tried the chocolate dough one the other day and I was in shock at how good the taste and consistency was!!
Girl! What happened to focusing on the positive this year!?
You dont need to make any extra explanation or disclaimers, for like, groceries lol
We ❤ you!
THANK YOU NEEDED THIS ❤
Something else you could add in to your skincare routine to help minimize irritation is a cleansing balm to take your makeup off instead of the makeup cloth. You should use the balm to rub off all your makeup with your hands, wash it off, then do your cleanser.
