Thank You very much to take time to go through the basics of driving this Case. I had a very old Volvo BM600, and just bought a Case like this. Looking through Your excellent video I can fetch it from the neighbor and drive it home, with out looking like a complete newbeginner . Very nice instruction video👍
I have liked and subscribed. A well thought out and delivered very video with good angles. On the tractor itself I think it would be a good no nonsense stockmans type tractor with a lot of useful features. It's tidy and got a lot going for it imho. Think they are about 80/90 hp. Thanks.
Just looking at yer set up and it's similar to my own, I've bought a bale unwinder for the same reasons you outlined in your feeding video. It cuts down on waste and ya could feed the three pins with the one bale. It's definitely worth a look. They are a bit expensive but I think it's worth it.
Ah class, yeah one of them would be ideal for us, bit costly yeah but maybe something i can afford this year or next. What brand of one did you get cos they all look very similar but not sure what wold be one to go for?
Just purchased a 4240 so this video should help me to not make too much of an ass of my self when I hop in and take it away Will be quite a jump from my McCormick B450D to this
dont know if you guys cares but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can watch all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my brother recently =)
yer small lever at the back is next to pto speed - is draft response - basically if youve something big in really heavy land - like a subsoiler you wouldnt want draft forces reacting quickly n yer arms would be lifting up out the ground constantly - same if yer ploughing in light land at high speed youd want quick response because youd no be generating much draft so ud want it to respond quickly or the plough would keep burying its self - one of the benefits of lower link sensing its basically a big torsion bar that opens n closes the depth control valve to keep depth constant and u can control how sensitive it is
wish i had seen this before going to view a tractor, would the case 885 xl have similar controls to would they be more basic? great video, look forward to checking out the others
@@IDoAgri 895 had the gearshift on the left gear lever was horizontal to the seat- absolutely hateful when the gear linkage got sloppy- the older ih's had the same but it was up n down n slots cut out for each gear- they thought leaving it there but making it an h pattern was a good idea - it wasnt ! everyone preferred the right hand gear shift like a 956xl so they carried that over to the 42 series - although i wasnt a fan of the 4230 2wd on pto work - too high geared for 540 rpm pto work n too big a gap between each gear
Thanks mate, there isnt really a bonnet on those tractors just a square lid on the top of the bonnet otherwise you have to reomve teh red bonnet panels. Hope this helps
Can you tell me how to lift and lower a tipping trailer, ours doesn't have the shuttle and our front loader works with the 3 levers on the right, I see yours only has 2, cheers
Is there any number on the two handle or do you have 2 pto shaft on the tractor you use the and some had the handle in the caps as well 2 pto shaft on the tractor
The black lever beside the yellow 540 / 1000 pto speed selector is for speed of drop on the 3 point lift . In the middle is just about right, not to sudden or slow of a drop. There a great wee tractor for there size, very gutsy . Have ours 20 years now. Pulls 1300 gallon tanker no bother and we are on hilly ground up in Monaghan. Has had its troubles but what tractor dosnt
Oh cheers Paul, that's good to know.they are a great yoke ona small farm. We don't do any pulling ATM but I would like to tests it's strength that way 💪
She's a lovely sweet no nonsense tractor. And very clean! Well wear! Do you find she has enough of gears for jobs with only having a high low range? Do you have to shove in foot clutch to engage pto? Is she 40k?
Thanks bambino, i agrre with ya. Id say she does have enough gears for the small amount of machinery work we do at the moment but yeah there are limitations... No you dont have to clutch in for the PTO. SHe is only 30k

Haha cheers J B, she is sweeter than honey
This will come in handy hopefully 😂🤞 great video 🤟
Haha cheers mate, is there a CASE 4230 in your future?
seems like a sweeter anough tractor to drive very gd condition great vid
CHeer sDaf, she is a fun yoke to drive no doubt!
Good video, I wouldn't mind seeing one of the 265 aswell!
Thanks Morten, there will be one done on the 265 soon

Awsome video! Have a 4230 myself, it’s an awsome tractor😁

@Otis Aldo definitely, have been using Instaflixxer for years myself :D
@IDOAgri I would really love to see this beast in action (perhaps doing some mowing) when Spring/Summer arrive.
Great video as always
Thanks John
Another good video Declan
Thanks very much Paddy Scally
How much di u pay for it i bought one and have to do the emgine 4240

Similar to the 895 we had. She had a shuttle as well but the gears were on the wrong side
Aye same engine and chassis as an 895, the gear were on your left were they?

Yeh 2 sticks on the left of the cab. 1-4 H pattern and high/low on the other stick, it had reverse as well on some 895s but ours had a manual shuttle
Great channel. Learning a lot. I have a 4220. I wonder if you could give any tips on opening the bonnet. Is it prone to it getting stuck?

plug your trailer into the spool at the back and use one of your 3 levers
hi, i have one 4230 w/o cabin , there is rear tires 18.4X38 and fron 13.6X24 , are they right tires ?
the orange lever is for your 540 to 1000 pto transfer box
Ah very cool, I wouldn't have the need for 1000 ATM. Do you know what the black lever beside her does?

Yeah you've to use the clutch for the shuttle shift
@@IDoAgri is it 40k
How much weight can it lift
Hi 🙂
I have a question about the valve settings on this tractor. Could I have an email to talk about it?
What speed dose she do flat out
She does 30k flat out
Great Video, mate! But please dont rev the motor so high when its cold... that hurt me. Let it warm up for a bit at lower rpm.
U should put another beacon on her it would look even better 👌she still looks well tho
Yes i agree with ya there. Two beacons looks the job!
What km will the case do when she flat out
She will only do 30ks flat out
@@IDoAgri o ya our 1 did 36km there was a button on the gear stick when u pressed it it was an extra high gear in it
Tight plant lad
Haha cheers Fionn
Grand yoke
Cheers Euan
How the engine didn't blow going down the road I dont know
?
Cos shes a CASE or was it my driving? lol
@@IDoAgri revving😫
@@jkirby3898 them tractors are just awfuly loud
hope you didnt go outside the 3km restriction limit, or does making a youtube video count as essential work😂😂😂
I didn't but tis essential work for me haha
