Tractor Lesson 1: make sure you understand what all the buttons and switches do.
No. All i need is SPEEEEDD! AND POWEERRR!
aka SPPPPPEEEEEEDDD and POOOOWWWWERRR
True or SPEEED AMC POWEERRRRR
So you’re just releasing the series out in 5 min sections on UA-cam then ? 😂
As an engineer I'd say the button labels are designed wrongly. Proper engineering would give unambiguous labels
“So what made you choose it?”
“It’s a Lamborghini.”
The most Clarkson answer ever.
Captain Slow would have chosen a Porsche for the very same reason
he would possibly use JCB tractor instead like in top gear episode
@@kurtlagon2023 Not Captain Slow... the JCB is more the case for Hammond ;-)
I think it looks like Deutz or something

You don't need to tell Jeremy twice!
Power!!!!!
If it was May’s Farm, James would just spend the whole season sitting in the cabin, explaining all the buttons, not even turning the engine on.
And reading the manual 10x through
Either that or he would make a whole season of "The Assembler" out of it, trying to get that thing apart and than rebuild it to try and thoroughly understand it. 😅
And I would still watch every episode
You don't "Turn the engine on", you start it. Get it right.
Season 1 Episode 1: Button 1 explained

there is some speed and power in the serise but not where u would exspect it
In all the 8 episodes there is only one speed and power
@@j.bagrivids9986 yeah...watching it now....I've only heard it once...
I was actually waiting for that word to pop up ahha
Before watching the series I was half worried that this may be a sort of mockery of British farming, but after watching today I am amazed at what a strong advocate for British Agriculture Jeremy has shown to be
He has always been a country/farmer sort in real life, he bought an old farm years ago, and he mentions that he raises donkeys in one of the older episodes, before his final character had been fully fleshed out. Like most of what you see in Top Gear, his character is a lie. It is not a real person, none of them are (although they may bear some resemblance to the actual person in some ways). So the character Clarkson complains about country bumpkins and farmers, while the real Clarkson lives in the country and has a farm. James May is probably in a rock band, and Hammond is probably a well-read member of several literary clubs.
@@justforever96 He's more grumpier in real life!
@@justforever96 If Drive Tribe is any indication, James May is EXACTLY like his "character". But really, they all share more than just "some resemblance" with their media personalities. Similarly, you can find Clarkson complaining about the same sort of stuff off the show as on it, like electric vehicles, vegetarians, public transport, cyclers, etc. Those personalities are just exaggerated versions of what they actually are themselves.
Also, while he did have a farm beforehand, he (by his own admittance) rarely if ever visited it, and actually had someone else farm and manage it for him. He only recently decided to give it a go himself. You can find an interview on the BBC where he discusses it further.
@@mattcartwright8272 he's only grumpy in real life because people bound up to him assuming they're his mate because they've been watching him on TV for years..
@@justforever96 james may in a rock band won’t make him less boring he is. I was reading their articles in top gear magazine back the days they were in one - his articles were not bearable to read
She's so sweet!
Also, the "Speed up a bit" was probably the only instruction that Jeremy completely understood.

"It's a Lamborghini"

Already watched the whole series the first day it came out, must say it was fantastic and I highly recommend everyone watches it, funny and informative at the same time. It truly is heartwarming to see Jeremy care about something and this show is filled with those moments 😂
I'd say it's much better than TG or Grand Tour, both previous shows had boring segments this one doesn't
we need more of Georgia Craig, farming has never been so accessible. Loving it!
The series is fabulous. Clarkson is a genius but I think his farm is only 50% of his well deserved happiness, no question the amazing Lisa is the other 50%. What a find Jeremy, a real keeper !!

"Back up the ladder." - Jeremy Clarkson 2021
What a fabulous series!
Speaking as a dairy farm girl who grew up on a 400 acre dairy farm, I find this Jeremy' a adventures fascinating, especially since he had no idea first hand knowledge of farming. I actually have a hard time breaking away from the series. Caleb: what an amazing young farmer...so knowledgeable. I hope someday, he can receive a gift inheritance of some of the farm acreage.
For anyone who has no clue about farming, I would encourage you to enjoy and gain knowledge of the trials and tribulations of farming. I am sharing this w friends and farming family so they can enjoy the series.
Thank you for this series, Jeremy! I love your honesty, wit and candor!!
Watched all of Season One today and can’t wait for season two! Jeremy Clarkson is an Icon and the Lamborghini tractor is fitting. A bit extreme, but that’s inline with his persona…lol. I was expecting another burning caravan series, along the lines of Richard Hammond’s castaway series. It still has a lot of the Clarkson humor! However, you get to see a bit of who the man is, his values, and beliefs. I was impressed with how passionately he advocates for the hard working men and women in farming that pour their heart and soul into feeding the world. Overall a great series that leaves you wanting to see more!
That was honestly the best thing you’ve ever done on telly, Jeremy. We sat and binge watched the lot and we were gutted it came to an end.
Can you also have Kaleb work on something with you again in the future because he’s brilliant.
I’m afraid ‘Jezzer’ is showing himself up to be something of a ‘cultivator’.
“Why are there 6 pedals when there are only 4 directions?” ~Michael J Caboose ... and also maybe Jeremy Clarkson.
I appreciate this reference.
Wow. Blast from the past.
"Speed it up a bit"
Courageous final words. Never say that to Jeremonius Clarksonius, the god of speed.
And also mischief and hammers.
Gosh! Georgia Craig is awfully nice, isn’t she?! I might have to buy a field, and a tractor.
;)
I think this is going to be the best thing for farming for years. You are going to get so many new young farmers for this!
Have been waiting for this series to drop and have not been disappointed. Jeremy is his usual hilarious self and we even got some genuine tears in the first episode. Love him ❤
She’s a gem.
Just gone through the whole series in one turn. Absolutly brilliant, the best Show I've seen in a very long time.
Even the Guardian says it is quality TV. Hope for a Series two

It’s because they were being filmed. All the other times they hooked up the attachments the more practical way.
The use of The Planets as incidental music adds a hopeful element to how he went about his first cultivating lesson at 3:09 weirdly it made my hair stand on end XD
I've just finished the season absolutely loved it and I'm so happy for Jezza with what he's living right now!
Now imagine how much fun would it be with James or Richard to “help” him :D

I just binged the entire show and it is definitely the best thing JC ever produced. It may even be a contender for best tv series of all time. The way it starts out as an obvious joke and slowly turns into a genuine endeavour is just breath-taking
Excellent show! I didn’t realize how much goes into farming! Thank you to all farmers.
I love how far Jeremy has come, from calling tractors road blocks to trying to understand them to understanding them

The first two lots of chicks died suddenly and mysteriously.
Jeremy is going to give it another go, he's sure he knows the problem with the first attempts.
This time he will be sure to plant them neither too deep or upside down.

Space flight ain't cheap.
@@alluraambrose2978 he probably got enough already but he doesn't want to open his wallet
Maybe he is colluding with Bill Gates to fool us into thinking all farmers are as competent as Jezza, so Bill should have all the land instead. Then Bill can leave it fallow and have us all eat mealworms and lab grown meat.
Someone had to pay for his ticket next month.
I doubt they are forcing him to do anything. Clarkson has plenty of money. I think he is trying to squeeze in as much career as he can while he can, before he is too old or looses relevance, to pass the money to his children. And some people just love to work. This is like semi-retirement compared to filming TG or GT anyway. He lives on a farm and farms, he might as well film an episode of silly shenanigans occasionally. It keeps the fans satisfied, and brings income in, a lot more than the farm itself probably does.
I would hate that bloody tractor 😂😂 only clarkson can get away with it
This series is absolutely fantastic, one of the best things I've seen in a long time. A lot less of The Grand Tour's manufactured banter.
Such a great series. Laughed every episode and learnt heaps cheers jezza
This could be good, Jeremy’s garage next?
Cant wait to hear what Harry thinks
Totally skips the part where he's driven multiple tractors in Top Gear
whats top gear?
He knew who the union representative was, I bet that's how he 'didnt know' how to use it 😉

Jeremy said "I can drive it but I don't know how to operate it"
He can make it move but he has no clue how to hook it up to a trailer or cultivator.

By far one of the best series I've seen for a long time
This is brilliant, can't wait to see more 👍👏
So when Jeremy said he was calling for help, I was expecting some burly, 80 year old man. Then she came out. All of a sudden I found myself also needing help with the tractor that I’m suddenly about to buy.
She can come and teach me how to drive a tractor anytime ! 😉
Absolutely brilliant. Go Jeremy
I binge watched all episodes…. Love it! Hopefully a season 2.
This was genuinely brilliant. Really lovely to watch, a real honest look at farming. And he never takes anything for granted. His money that got him through this when it didn't for a lot of others. The exhaustion, fustration and heartbreak. Everyone on this show is fantastic. Cheerful Charlie never stops smiling. Neither does Gerald (Does anyone understand him??) And Kaleb. Please, I am completely smitten with Kaleb. I don't even think he was born when Top Gear started but he is the perfect foil for Jeremy. You couldn't have picked a better 'co-host'. Complete culchie farmer lad, I adore him.
I have lived on a farm my whole life and just looks so stupid that they shut down and start the tractor every time they have to do something when attaching the cultivator.
