Interesting. I agree in that fashion or design isn't necessarily mutually exclusive with performance. It's good to see more brands incorporating both in to their designs.
I would like to see Solarpunk performance clothing. Futuristic style with high quality, traditional materials that are sustainable and biodegradable/infinitely recyclable like a heavy linen waxed canvas rain poncho (breathable and waterproof), leather, metal, wool, hemp, natural rubber, etc
This is actually my aesthetic, but I’m having to make it myself. 🙃 Techwear using exclusively natural fabrics is definitely possible, but the material cost will make Acronym look cheap.
I have to agree with you with post archive faction I’ve been really digging those guys lately, in fact just ordered a pair of cloud monster twos can’t wait to get them!
I'd love a video about crazy character print. they give me similar vibes to paf but more function oriented and they use a wider variety of fabrics, both technical and traditional
The left jacket is something special! I’ve heard of PAF and seen a few videos that weren’t convincing. Great video-even if you didn’t have a garment in hand or if it were a completely different, non-technical style I’d still watch.
how do you find the water proofness/resistance from the paf jacket? how wet would you get if were in a rain storm for 15 min? i've wanted their 6.0 center jacket for a while but im hesitant to buy a 2.5 layer jacket that doesn't have even have taped seems when my goretex jacket will do better
When you brought out the Adidas Samba, I did genuinely wonder if you carried it (I stupidly thought it was the full pair) in the cross body bag from the previous scene. Or if you shot the Samba scene on a different day. Glad you put my mind at ease 😁
I visited the Post Archive Faction shop in Korea. It's in a random residential street in Seoul away from all the high end brand shops. Love their stuff. If you buy in store within Korea it's a hell of a lot cheaper than you'll find it for online.
@@ashtmslf2315 It's not just about import fees. Korean brands are fully aware they can charge Western customers higher prices, and they do. For example, I purchased a rucksack from Anderson Bell, a Korean based brand, while in Korea, only to later discover that their website lists different prices depending on whether you're shopping from Korea or Europe. These price discrepancies exist before any taxes or customs fees, which the customer is responsible for handling. In Korea, consumers generally prioritise Western brands as symbols of luxury, often overlooking domestic brands, even high-end ones like Post Archive Faction. To compete, Korean brands price themselves more affordably in the local market to attract buyers who might otherwise gravitate toward Western alternatives.
PAF left, center right - I don't see it as conservative to not conservative but rather as from minimalist simple to more sculpturally maximalist interactive baroque
Seems like there’s more and more choice in the cross over sneaker department, but I just can’t get into it. It’s like the shoe doesn’t know what it wants to be. Though I’m still looking forward to one maker that can pull it off.
hate to admit it but i was quite quick to write off quiet luxury as quiet cringe... but it turns out those industry leading fashion experts might have some idea of what they are talking about because it's kinda like... it feels like all the trends are pointing toward a slightly more refined, smarter look regardless of 'genre'. I'd love to cop, but my hands are full holding this L
You still have to about pollution of performance fabrics and materials, since you're promoting it, you should also talk about negative aspects of goretex and other performance clothing
I always enjoy your videos man, but the more of them that cover trends the more I think that trends are lame as hell lol, at least the videos are a good watch still.
Gorpcore clothing always looked shit, and will always look shit. You would only wear that stuff if you put performance above looks. Plus, as an overall observation people just dress badly these days compared to the past because fashion has moved from objective criteria to a ridiculous obsession with peacocking, shilling, general over commercialization and hype over a sense of good aesthetics. Basically, money and the internet has disrupted people's perception of what looks good so much that most people born after the invention of social media will wear any old crap if they are told to, or they can make some dosh jumping on some bandwagon. It's why most people look like twats now.
Comes back every year when it gets cold in front of starbucks 😂
Those pumpkin spice lattes ain't gonna order themselves
@@ThisIsAntwon wait pumpkin spice latte is returning? Where are my la sportiva mega ice evos and my summit suit?? I gotta go
Quiet outdoors feels like a good way to describe my style that I’ve been looking for

We'll, now I know what I'm making with the old tent I've been hoarding. I need myself a version of that $1800 ruched jacket.
Yea ill be buying one of those Matcha Jackets. Love that color.
Hell yeah just in time for my Autumn/Winter shopping.
the darts on the knees reminds me of karsten kroenings pants that he did
I love when an Antwon video turns into a GeoWizard video

Easily repairable also, like replacement parts for what wears out faster
Me too, I’m thinking Patagonia making Uniqlo style clothes but ethically & with hemp & Lyocell blends or something
This is actually my aesthetic, but I’m having to make it myself. 🙃

Yeah, buying outside of Korea means import fees are added to the price lol. Same reason a ton of Japanese brands are sold for less in Japan

Techwear is first and foremost fashion anyway, nobody needs all those pockets , but they look good 👍 😂
What is the shirt he is wearing it looks sick af i need it
man i'm just trying to dress for the weather
that officially makes you smarter than most
rookie mistake, I dress AGAINST the weather
“Inside you there are 2 wolves” type moment😂
Anyone with any mindset outside of yours is brainwashed man
The best part of FW? SS deals 🧀
I hate how technical performance = gore tex. I know you don't mean it like that Antwon, but it comes off like that a lot of times.

where can I find that particular Royer shoe?
Take a look at the ROA minaar
man and I thought it was gonna be shorts and sandals this winter… looking pretty silly rn with my toes out
What is the brand mentioned at 6:06?
Roa
