I loved Marilyn since I saw the interview about the massacre at Columbine, with Michael Moore. Michael asked "if you could say something to the shooters, what would you say?" And he very calmly just said. " I wouldn't say anything, I would listen to them instead".

I appreciate you and anyone else who gives him serious credit and tries to look beyond the surface that they might find shocking (though, no one really should, but that's not my place to say.) The amount of MM songs that are amazingly deep are endless....I would suggest staying away from the super popular singles and covers (not because I don't like them, but there is just so much more). Third Day of a Seven Day Binge! Probably one of his best most mature songs ever, and a great video too. No Reflection would be fun to see people react too just because...well, those in the know would know why. Or even better.... Running to the Edge of the World (that might shake some people up... I wouldn't recommend anything else on Eat me Drink Me. It is him at his only true weak moment artistically for reasons i won't get into). And Overneath the Path of Misery.....not only are these all great songs, they will be fun to see reactions too. very "unsafe" hehe :)

As a marilyn manson fan im so happy that you loved it. Lots of people just see manson as a bad person but they dont listen to his music. Manson's music is bomb and so good. The lyrics and sound have substance not like those pop shit playing around these days

Eminem talked shit about Manson on an early album and I think they got along afterward based on MM's reaction of so not giving any f*cks. hehe Did anyone notice Courtney Love is also in this particular video? It's funny because they also had a past where they sort of squabbled, and both said some things about each other. More her than him....he is a real gentleman, actually. Also too smart to let the media profit of fights with other celebs. But they even tried to tour together once, around Mechanical Animals Era. They stopped the tour pretty quick due to lots of fighting and just the two crowds not embracing both bands etc. However, she is now in this video, there was footage of her at his 50th bday back in Jan, and he's not one to really hold a grudge forever. But yeah, the Eminem thing was short lived.
They came came together because Manson and both their types of “subversive” music were both unjustly and unfairly blamed for Columbine murders/suicides. Friends is a bit of a stretch though. They were friendly at a certain time in history, due to certain historical events they and their music were both caught up in, but I would say they were never “good friends”.

I love Marilyn Manson so much. He helped me to get through a very tough time and he means so much to me :) I met him last november and he gave me so much strength and he was so nice to me, holding my hands the whole time, hugging me several times and kissing me 3× 😍 Even though many people hate him because he is "abstract" I think he is a very intelligent and gentle person ;)
I bought his first album at release...publicly. My dad re-introduced me to him saying that he was weird and check him out for Sweet dreams...he had no idea I had become a fan well before that.

For some reason most lyric sites have some wrong lines, most say "I'm outrageous, and unregretted.". It's actually I'm unscabbed and unregretted", which makes so much more sense, not to mention if you listen, you can hear that's what he says. I read an interview he did talking about this song and this very line. His meaning was you have to move on, not regret the past even if it leaves scars, emotionally or physically. Great song.
