rewatching the part that takes place in the past, i dont think ive ever noticed the uncomfortable pauses the characters make as they begin to fully process what exactly is happening to them. Shadow's reaction to yet another man casting a dying wish upon him (20:37) and Silver having to soak in this massive revelation about the nature of Iblis (23:06) end up really being moments you can *feel* without the characters even needing to say a word.
Can I point out that SIlver completely destroyed Sonic in a one-on-one battle, not just once, but twice! He then went toe to toe with Shadow and actually got the Ultimate Lifeform out of breath! He has so much power and yet we never see it utilized after this other than in the Comics. SO sad! My favorite boy needs more love!
Some significant (imo) differences between the Japanese version and English version: Instead of saying, "I hope Silver is okay. He's pretty insecure when he's alone," Blaze says, "I hope Silver didn't run off on his own." The English version carries the implication that Blaze has known Silver for quite a while, while the Japanese version drops it. Instead of saying, "[Mephiles]'s trying to eliminate the past," Shadow says, "He wants to erase all history," which makes a lot more sense considering that "all of history" also implies what will become the past in the future, which fits in much better with what ultimately ends up happening with Solaris. Instead of saying, "I'll make sure to change Elise's fate. And that in turn, should change your future, too," Sonic says, "I'm gonna change Elise's fate. So you can change that future, too." The English version indicates that Sonic saving Elise will result in Silver's time being saved, which doesn't happen. The Japanese version's text seems to imply that the timelines are separate enough that changing one of them won't change the other. Instead, Sonic reasons that since he'll save his own timeline, Silver can find it within himself to save his as well. Instead of saying, "Didn't we already go through this? We agreed to save the world at any price!" Blaze says, "I thought I told you then. If you're ready to save the world, be willing to sacrifice." The English version indicates that saving Silver's world is a burden that Silver and Blaze both share, while the Japanese version seems to foist most of the responsibility on Silver, or, at the very least, makes Blaze seem more stoic than her English counterpart.
@@crimsonzone8984 My guess is that it would in Sonic's timeline, but the timeline that Silver traveled back to is separate, because wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey stuff.
Blaze says 暴走 about Silver, which means "reckless" or "rampage" So imo, a more meaningful translation would be, "I hope Silver isn't doing anything rash on his own." This implies she does know him a little bit, and it implies that Silver isnt that smart. He never asked questions when he met Sonic, he was prepared to kill him instantly.
Shadow's mild surprise at Silver's Chaos Control (18:17) has me wondering if there were meant to be any further implications about the nature of the move. Perhaps he took it as a sign of Silver's stubbornness being something to respect, given that chaos is a power of emotion and both of them were exhausted at that moment. Or maybe it was just "dude wtf i just explained this to you five seconds ago"
Blaze was like an older sister to Silver. I have a theory about why Blaze made a surprised expression when Mephiles insinuated to Silver that the culprit of the future being destroyed was a hedgehog, maybe it's because several stories have been passed down from generation to generation that hedgehogs have saved the world and the universe several times and maybe the purple cat was disappointed that the cause of everything was an ancestor of Silver's species. That's my theory, but I could be wrong.
18:18 shado's getting a lil tight under the collar huh... this isnt the first time a hedgehog has induced their first chaos control around him under duress. and that is AFTER surviving his signature roundhouse kick
31:13 so THATS how she got to the Sol Dimension So if I got this correctly, 06 is where silver and blaze make their actual debut, blaze gets sealed to the Sol dimension, then the memories of 06 gets undone by Elise so Silver’s proper debut is in rivals?
No, she is originally from the Sol Dimension. After the events of Rush, the Sol emeralds took Blaze to Sonic’s world but in the future and she lost her memory in the process. Blaze’s character bio in the Sonic Channel website says that the Sol Emeralds can sometimes cause her to travel through time and space. Iblis can only be sealed within a royal soul which explains why Blaze could do it because she is a princess she then goes back to her dimension, forgets the events of 06, and regains her memories of the events of Rush. She is also still has Iblis sealed within her.
Just got the CD soundtrack for this game in the mail yesterday at 3:59p.m. 10/22/2024 and it's the "Sonic The Hedgehog Original Sound Track" CD and I'm listening to it while watching this! 3:53p.m. 10/23/2024

Yep, and he's still down for voicing Silver anytime.

@@mrbanks456 That makes sense.
Maybe Windii should hire you on as a proofreader!
@Pikmanipulator The Eng script for 06 was where the fanon/Archie take on Silver came from.

I sometimes wonder if Shadow had a mutual respect for Silver seeing him with the younger Elise. Probably reminded him of himself and Maria.
The voice line of Silver saying “What a nice place.”/“This looks so beautiful.” Was added to P06 of the intro cutscene for Silver’s Tropical Jungle.
The way "Iblis" is pronounced in Japanese is the same way that we pronounce "Iblis" (Lucifer's Islamic counterpart) in Arabic.
3:19 At this point, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles were listening in on this conversation.
Is that "(sounds of people gossiping)" line a subtitle in the original game, or did you just put that there?
It's in the game.
She bases the videos’ subtitles off the Games’ Japanese subtitles.
grand slam
holy shit silver lost so much testosterone in the English dub

It was still Ono in Team Sonic Racing?
