Thank you so much for the video. i have two questions, i have the same monitor but the moba mode looks weird, with limited colour range, why is that? and also, did you notice that using the blue light filter, it instantly switches colour profile to racing mode?
@@PCMonitors thanks for that! Appreciate it. How was your experience with fw106 update recently. It destroyed all colour profiles and was looking and behaving sluggish. Confirmed the same on reddit. Yours?

hey, i would like to buy this monitor but im not sure about the dot crosshair. This is a really important feature for me. I saw your videos about the PG49WCD and PG34WCDM and the crosshairs from these two monitors in comparison to this one in the video seems way smaller. Is this true?
17:30 i still don't get why they don't let us load a costom one... People would want to use this thing for games that don't support specific crosshairs, why put a limit on what we can have? No different than a game
Is that me or everybody that having this monitor, when turning it off, suddenly appear white horizonal line but its just quickly to disappear. is it normal?
@@PCMonitors I have actually just tried that and the power buttons and menu button does nothing. I was only able to get my monitor to turn on again by unplugging the power cable and replugging it back in. The monitor was in that pixel cleaning blank screen for about 30 minutes so that was when I was like surely it had to be done by now. This tells me that it’s not a normal behaviour…. Might have gotten myself a dud
Do you have HDR active? If not then obviously that's not restricting your settings, so make sure "Power Setting" (in System Setup) is set to "Standard Mode".
OSD = On Screen Display. Or menu system - look at the video title. ;) Try reattaching the stand base, it needs some small connectors to line up properly for the LEDs to work.
@@PCMonitors I mean it clicked properly I tried 2-3 times again and wiping them, the SWIFT letters so light but not below monitor ffs, idk what to do hahah
It's unlikely to make a difference what you select in the graphics driver in that respect. The vast majority of SDR applications are 8-bit (selecting 10-bit is fine as well, but it won't give you any benefits). For HDR the monitor will automatically want to use 10-bit to match HDR10 content .
@Role If you use Nvidia defaults ('Use default colour settings'), it should use 10-bit anyway for HDR. And it shouldn't change how things are represented if you manually select 10-bit there instead. The screen may dim based on content displayed due to ABL, that isn't dependent on what is selected for bit depth in the graphics driver but will be in effect unless viewing under SDR with 'Uniform Brightness'. If for example you change the size of Nvidia Control Panel or minimise it, you should see the same changes in brightness and same relative brightness regardless of what you select for 'Output colour depth' (or whether you select 'Use default colour settings', which is the same as selecting 10 bpc for HDR or 8 bpc for SDR).
I recently bought a new pg27aqdm~ but I always feel that the two sides of the screen are much darker than the middle one on the desktop~ and take the left as an example~ the upper left corner is slightly darker than the lower left corner~ is this normal? Or its brightness The uniformity is not very good? Or is it a defective product? But it is not obvious when playing games
Per the written review, uniformity of our sample was very good and it's usual for OLEDs to be relatively strong in that area. So your unit is 'defective' in that respect.
@e234darkrock If it bothers you enough. I also assume you aren't talking about the extreme edges, very near the bezels? That can be darker for other reasons related to bezel design (common across many monitors). And finally, make sure you have 'Uniform Brightness' enabled as well, though that shouldn't be the issue here.
@@PCMonitors I did a comparison with the icons on the desktop~ I don’t know why the left and right sides are indeed darker than the middle, is it correct? I have turned on the uniform brightness~ I only feel that the icon on the upper left is darker~ but when playing games Not so obvious~~ Another problem is that my pg27aqdm often has a black screen when I operate the settings~ and then it recovers after 3~5 seconds~ Is this not a normal phenomenon?
I‘ll never buy an asus rog monitor again. I‘ve had such bad experience with their firmware and also they have the worst color calibration settings ever seen.
When you download the firmware from ASUS, you're given a .zip file with a PDF that includes instructions - rog.asus.com/uk/monitors/27-to-31-5-inches/rog-swift-oled-pg27aqdm/helpdesk_download/. Basically you just connect the USB cable from your PC to the monitor's Type-B port and run the included .exe.
It should do. I didn't get to try the original firmware to compare, but apparently there were significant issues with washed out HDR using the original that have been improved with MCM103 firmware.

UK, but this was a review sample provided by ASUS. It's not available here yet, either. 🙂

The leds on the base turn off automatically??
How do we turn the colors on the base and back of the monitor off while the pc is in sleep mode?
Turn them off in the OSD, as shown. Or turn the monitor off (via OSD) rather than leaving it on standby.
Is that me or everybody that having this monitor, when turning it off, suddenly appear white horizonal line but its just quickly to disappear. is it normal?
Might depend on the GPU or system, but it's not something I observed.
A stupid question but how can we turn off the screen ? i mean the logo in the bottom still up and go off after a few moment

does the pixel cleaning function turn the monitor back on or am I suppose to click on the power button again?
The power indicator flashes orange when the cycle is in progress. So when that stops you can turn the monitor on if it doesn't do so itself.

You need to run the cycle manually with this model I believe, as noted in the video.

The led light stays on when I turn off the monitor? Is that normal for led light to be on All the time
If you turn the monitor off with the power button (i.e. not just leave it in a lighter standby state) it should turn the LED off.
The logo below monitor doesn't work, any tips ?
Have you enabled the appropriate lighting setting in the OSD?
