Another tip hold block whilst whilst dodging because if you mistime when you dodge you won't take any damage you can do this for precision evade in so you can build up force without taking any damage.
Proper and smart use of the force abilities can really make all the difference. You'd be surprised how easily you can defeat a tough boss or group of enemies with timely use of force abilities.

@@Psychotoxic86 Hmm maybe for PC players there are some performance issues. For me it runs very smooth on the PS5. They should patch it soon, because otherwise this game is solid.
@@Nobleman23 performance mode on consoles vary between 30-60 fps. Quality mode seems to be the only option servicable.

True, but dodging, in its own way, cancels block. So you can potentially dodge cancel, by semi-simutaneously block canceling lol

You CAN dodge cancel attacks while dual wielding by pressing block and dodge simultaneously.

Took me several dozen tries to beat the rancor because almost every attack is a one shot
Had to just keep jumping around lol
took me about 40 mins, ended up standing on the ledge and throwing my lightsaber for ten mins!

It took me 2 hours to beat the double rancor force tear. Blaster stance helps with rancors with +blaster dmg perk no
Took me like 5 minutes just don’t get greedy and throw the bones in his mouth like Luke did lol
Looks like precision dodge was nerfed. It seems to give you less force than it did in FO.
We can use these tips next year when the game is playable

It’s quite choppy on ps5 too… and that’s optimized for console btw so you won’t get as much out of the visuals anyway

In journey + you gain acess to light saber colour "fast"or something like that, it changes everytime you atack

You unlock it in new game plus as a lightsaber colour. It cycles through all the colours every time you hit someone.
start a new game plus after you finish the game and you unlock it, its called Party mode or something. you also unlock the red lightsaber on NG+ too

Combat tip: lower the difficulty
you IGN peeps most likely finished the game in one hit through easy mode.
Many people just struggling with 2nd last difficulty and/or last difficulty
taken multiple tries to kill the first rancour and the Jedi with one arm

Double blade is over hyped just be cool and use dual sabers..
Annoys me that you can hit an enemy and they hit you fine whilst taking hits but you get hit and you fumble for a second. So annoying to see npcs take a hit better than cal
Probably because most of the enemies are made of metal and are extremely solid compared to cal as a human

Looks like that double lightsaber combat needs a lot of work graphically. Still not sure that being constantly vulnerable is quite the way to go for star wars. Jedi Outcast was much, much more fun to play than the first one of this one.

This game really botched the combat. Parry is the worst.

Cal is canon. Starkiller isn't. Just for fun let's say the star wars universe is real. You're comparing a person to a comic book character. That's like comparing me to Spiderman. Even if he was canon, you're comparing a dude who's essentially only been using the force for a few years, vs someone raised by Vader.

@@talentroller4413 That makes no sense. Arkham Knight allows you to use the disruptor as many times as you can - yes, it takes 3 minutes for each bolt to recharge, but still.

Not if you play on jedi master or ultimate jedi difficulty. Anyone who plays on story mode is missing out and the challenge of the game. Story mode is for kids honestly or people who don't play video games and have 2 left thumbs lol. Jedi master and the hardest level make a huge difference in enemy damage

@Dustin German PS5 is a busted piece of hardware? There is a lot of screen tear, stuttering, and pop-in. Nothing too game-breaking, but it hampers the combat flow a bit.
@@daanabbring5409 Get a better monitor or tv. Mess with your settings a tad. Some people complain about the game when it’s really the products you’re playing them on is all I’m saying.

The game is not fun. I’m playing on the Xbox series X, and the performance issues are very problematic. It ruins the game, and it ruins the graphics. The immersion and fun factor of fallen order do not exist in Jedi survivor. Very disappointing that IGN is promoting such a terribly polished game. Frustrating and unacceptable.
