From a Wildland firefighter in Colorado:
“I have family on Maui (Haiku). This is a disgrace. 20 firefighters including myself have offered multiple times a day to fly to Maui at our own expense to help contain the other fires and assist in recovery. We have been rebuffed by Maui leaders each time who continually tell us: “it’s all under control”. I was on the scene at the Marshall fire in Boulder County and it took us less than 30 hours to search for bodies in 1100 homes that were burned. Only 2 people died in that fire. Hawaii has been warned for years about this. They’ve ignored it. Absolutely disgusting.”

Wildfire was a low priority threat with tsunami and hurricane at the top of the list. No doubt something should have been done earlier but what? Beside beefing up powerlines, the only thing I can think of was to create a very wide cleared buffer area inland of Lahaina 2-4 miles long and at least a mile or two wide, but that would have cost millions that could have been spent on other things. Keeping it free of weeds/grass would have been a huge cost. That would also have caused a scar on the land sure to bring much criticism. Green belt not feasible as that requires lots of water. Btw, wildfire embers in high wind travel 2+ miles and start fires. It will be interesting to see what is done when Lahaina is rebuilt. Very tough issues facing Maui. Hindsight is usually 100% 20-20 vision.

@@Chainyanker007One of the things that they're learning from this fire is that the amount of space you need around the structure to prevent it from catching fire is much smaller than we thought. A 5 ft buffer around the house with the red roof was drainage rocks and was free of debris (maybe the metal roof also) is what saved the red house, it wasn't able to catch fire even in the middle of all of that bc the fire wasn't able to get hot enough close enough to it. That's something that can be done on a much smaller scale that is much more affordable

And fire captain said he needs to get his kids and get out of there. He did not say a word about evacuations or his fire crew’s safety. I was stunned by that segment. Find the older vid that was on Y.T. called HELL NO. NO BAY ONE. If you can find it, copy it. It exposes how the UN was tring to STEAL the lands and homes or 8 CA residents to build one of their evil 'sustainablecities' and the main planned of that was a PG&Eemployee, and they are owned by WROTHSCHYLD (founders of the UN). They were also found guilty of starting 7 or more of the Ca 'fires' w bad transformers, (yea, right) and the dirty state FORGAVE thier charges. Know that the utility ALSO has the equipment that could be used to commit these horrific ATTAKS, but our dirtygvov has been going along w all their plans from Hell, anyway..so if our military is not directly guilty, they KNOW and are GOING ALONG w it.! Look up PG&E and SOLAREN/energy from SPACE. The monsters behind all this destroyed MANY homes/lands/lives in CA, Montana, Nevada, Nebraska, and now millions of acres in CANADA and more! ALL for filthy satayst UN plans from HELL. Also find the vid The Horrible Truth About The Northern Ca Fires. It is the SAMEwepponry used in all these ATTAKS, and the sick freeksMUST be stopped because NO ONE is safe until they are ARRESTED!!

It is important for people to have information that has not been filtered by the corporate media. I am glad that the efforts of these people to bypass the exclusion zone and bring aid to those who need it is being documented. The authorities are unable to provide aid and they don't want any citizens to overstep them. Are any of the corporate media outlets documenting this?

This video contains wonderful examples of the collateral beauty that comes along with tragedy, that needs tragedy in order to appear, like the seed that has to survive a forest fire in order to sprout. I see people who are sacrificing their own assets in order to help complete strangers. I see people who have dropped that chainmail armor of indifference that keeps our hearts apart from the hearts of others. I see selfless cooperation with others because there is something within each of us that knows how much we need each other.

My heart goes out to the suffering! Prevention er key! Americans and Australians are now the most CO2 emitting nationals on the planet. WHY are you not transitioning to produce and use energy from renewable s!? This are just the beginning of a hellish century. For each day we do not bring down our emissions the harder consequences we will see.
Through glaciology, we now have a YEAR BY YEAR knowledge of the planets atmospheric Carbon content (and much more) for a period more than 10 times longer since Homo Sapiens left the African continent the first time. For over 850.000 years our atmospheric Carbon content have been relative stable at 220 PPM. 3 times in the 850.000+ years have gigantic widespread global volcanic eruptions raised the Carbon content with 30 PPM and EACH time it have triggered longterm climate changes for a very long time before the planets regulating systems slowly have been able to bring it down to 220 PPM again. It are truth to state that a atmospheric Carbon content of 220 PPM created us and nearly all living species present on the globe with very few exceptions. Besides the Asteriod that hit Yucatan 66 million years ago the largest species extinctions we have been able to document have happened during the 3 times the atmospheric content rose with 30 PPM.
Since the Industrial revolution, just a few hundred years ago, we have raised the atmospheric Carbon content from 220 PPM to now (2022 number) 417 PPM! So humans NOW have caused not a 30 PPM rise but unprecedented 197 PPM!
We are right now in the largest species extinction period since the Asteriod hit Yucatan 66 million years ago!

The worlds oceans are right now heating with the same energy added equalling 5 Hiroshima bombs PER SECOND! That are the sickening facts!
The worlds largest ongoing transition project. The North Sea summit agreement, will transition 220 million high energy using Europeans in a decade, by off shore windmill parks. One thing are that the project will transion the 220 million people away from fossil fuel based made electricity it will also produce a larger amount of green hydrogen on average per day than the world have produced of green hydrogen to date. Green hydrogen are made of water and electricity and when burned it only emits........wait for it..........WATER! A one digit percentage of this hydrogen production will be used to produce energy when the wind does not blow and the rest will be used for cars, trucks, trains and planes.
Nations like USA, Canada, Australia, Portugal have perfect conditions to make a simple copy/paste of this project NOW and thus create good jobs at home instead of in human rights abusing dictatorships. Make your own money work for YOU instead of sending them out of the nation.
Very soon, it can be next year, in 5 but certainly inside 10 years that we will see several larger farming nations fail at the same time due to climate extremes. That will produce 100´s of millions climate refugees. I hope nations like USA/Australia/Canada that have massive emissions and lots of space will understand where these people will have to go!

It is sad that it does seem to take horrific tragedy for the true spirit of being human to come out as God intended , Perhaps there is still hope in an age of division and societal problems for people to remember what is truly important in life, whether we live on a paradise island, or whether we live in a crowded city; if we all would just help those who need help whatever the reason, we would be returning to the human behavior we seem to have lost over the centuries. We must all love one another and we must all realize that our governments can only do so much so fast and there is always chaos and corruption after these huge events, so all the more reason to love on one another and get in there and help in any possible way we can. @@Mike-zx1kx do you no understand that there is a time and place for these discussions? Do you also not understand that switching to renewables is a very long term thing, as it’s not something that is achievable quickly. It would involve a total rework of infrastructure, and with that, a great deal of co2 output. Over the long term, co2 today is nowhere near the levels it has reached, and as an aside, should we ever reach the carbon neutral that some are pushing for, life would become untenable, for not just humans, but other animals and plants. Co2 IS what plants require to thrive, and should we continue to deprive them of it, the world would quickly become barren.

Looking at the various videos of the fires, I was shocked at the rate of the winds! No wonder the fires spread so fast and far. My family lived on Oahu from 1963-67 and as a kid there wasn't a better place to be, (we didn't realize just how poor we were). Dad was in the Coast Guard based at Pearl Harbor. Mom worked for Princess Leilani, sewing at the factory. We lived in Kaneohe and later Kahalu'u. I spoke with my mother and she remembered the weekend she and my Dad spent at Lahaina before he was shipped out for a year. We moved back to the states shortly after that. I will always cherish my memories of the people and the place I lived in. I'm praying for Hawaii and her people. I know they will be rebuilding and Paradise will once again flourish.

We don’t give money to Large charities such as the Red Cross because they go into a disaster and rake up all the donations but are corrupted and eke out money to the victims of disasters! Our state had volunteers who went to Louisiana to help ppl, so did ppl from our church. We housed flood victims, in our town ,who showed their gratitude by stealing from stores that they were taken to for shopping- not all , but many………sad , how ppl react to someone else’s tragedy!
