Absolutely perfect packing tips, Jen. Mix and match is the smart way to go. Super cute choices. Totally off subject, but aren't we thankful for the invention of luggage with wheels and extender handles... Have fun!
All great tips! I have to say that although I overpack a bit, I can usually fit all my things in a carryon but I like to have room in my bag to shuffle things around and be able to see everything so I usually take a medium sized bag and just check it. But I do always take an extra change of clothes in my personal item just in case they lose my bag. Hasn’t happened yet but you never know.
Loved sitting on a pile of clothes and watching you pack! I always go for less cute and wear the bulky running shoes on the plane to save space. Have a great, relaxing and restorative trip!
Jen, great tips regarding luggage and the solo traveler. I have the Away Everywhere bag and it has the best feature - a small secure pocket that is on the same side as the trolley sleeve. It is great to safely put your cellphone and wallet in this pocket and have it remain by your side, while rolling the luggage. Plus, Away luggage rolls and spins on a dime - effortless for a solo female. Enjoy your trip.
Oh I’m so glad you have that bag strap! I was about to come link it for you. I have a LV neverfull that I love so much and want to bring everywhere but it’s a beast to schlep through the airport. That strap is a game changer!! Have the best time!
I'm a planner to! I leave for New Smyrna in 27 days. I already have my bathing suits & beach towels & my Mouse Ears packed. You know I can't be an hour from Disney & not go at least once. I will pull out outfits over the next 2 weeks & be fully packed a week before pulling out. We are driving, so space isn't an issue. Have fun in California!
I’m so excited for you to go back to California. I know how much you love it. Your packing videos are goals. I pack for all 4 of us when we travel and I am very much and over packer 😬we are going to CO for 3 weeks in July and I’m already stressed about packing.
Have an amazing trip! We are currently at New Smyrna Beach this week! I love packing videos and will watch definitely watch them lol. I’m an over packer, so always trying to figure out ways to reduce what I’m bringing!
Hi Jen! Love your channel I’m a new subscriber! I bought my Away bag because of your reviews….got the large carry on expandable….may need to get the one you featured instead….I’m tempted by that hard shell and love the navy! And…your Tory Burch bag is gorgeous!!
My 18 yo and I just got back from a week at Disney and Univeral and we packed carryons only. We miss full size toiletries, but we still WAY overpacked and didn't need to do laundry once. WAY overpacked. Still learning! God help us on a cruise where you can basically take the whole house! LOL
Jen, I know this is still domestic travel but if you, or any viewers are planning on returning to Europe (spain opens its boarders tomorrow, June 7th, and France later this week), I strongly suggest downloading the app Re-open EU. You can find all information regarding traveling to the Different EU countries and what requirements each country has in place.
Love a packing vlog! Good tips Jen, just wondering what would be different if you were visiting a cold climate, I'm all about layers but they take up so much room
Lol well long story short yes I have! Multiple times and you can totally do it - my tip would be stick to a strict color palette so everything goes with everything else and if you do scarves they are a great option for making a dress that works for evening work for work (add scarf and or blazer). Having laundry will be huge!
@@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge Other challenge is laptop/office/files. Still working on packable clothes for convention/meetings that will also work for sunny FL: right now plan is PA to CA to FL.
I love you Jen, but I’m team #checkedluggage for life! I will gladly pay all the money not to lug a bag through the airport, especially with kids. I usually do skycap because I love getting rid of my bags as soon as humanly possible
Heading to Spain and Portugal next year for 13 days. It’s a bus tour type thing and they don’t allow wheeled baggage....stressing over how to pack. I guess it’ll have to be a backpack but I have shoulder arthritis in both arms so I’ll need a super light bag and pack very light. Any tips? Do you have a preferred carryon back pack?
Ohhhh you wanted the cute bag for the airport. Okay. Never mind. Scratch that. I tend to carry big totes as my purse, especially when I’m with my kids so I thought you wanted the TB bag as your purse on vacation. Glad you found a solution though!
Can I say it's 'typical Jen' when you were debating with yourself on which bag you would take and then in the end you were like: Oh yeah, I totally forgot I had this thing so I CAN take the cute bag AND be handsfree :-) haha It had me laughing anyway. Well done though, I always overpack and it gives me anxiety as well, so seeing videos like this, calm me down somehow. :-)
@@JoyfulLivingwithJenLefforge Haha :-) Oh no, silly, don't worry!! No need to say sorry! I'm already honored you took the time to answer me! Hope you are doing well x
Great compression bag! I use what I call Le Ziploc Bag and squeeze out the air😂

It IS important to look cute on vacation! Happy traveling!
Blue, black and white my colors.
I hope you have a wonderful time! I just got back from a beach trip to Florida. My husband also surprised me with a day at Disney springs.
That’s wonderful!
Have a fun trip!!! I aspire to pack in a carry-on one day! 5 kids = lots of checked luggage. I do totally appreciate your tips though. Someday…

Team luggage sleeve. But pack that TB bag in your carryon and put packing cubes inside it to save space
Lol I’m already at the airport and it all worked out beautifully.

I love it and I do that all the time!!😜
I love your packing videos. I’m kind of bad at pairing everything down sometimes. I always try to mix and match but somehow it doesn’t always work. 🤣
"There may not always be bell services staff to help you..." Great video! Bon voyage and have a great time!! :-)
Yes what COULD I be referring to??
I love your packing videos. The germ freak in me really wishes your shoes were in a plastic/shoe bag!!
I use plastic Safeway bags that i recycled from grocery shopping for

I have yet to go carryon only anywhere! I need to try!
It takes some compromising for sure but honestly not having the stress of check in and baggage claim is lovely
Have you ever packed for a work to vacation trip in carryon only? Usually is 10 days but have washer access on the backend/vaca.
To be clear, right now it's PA to CA to FL. Long story.

I use mine on every trip it holds so much
Did you get your Mill Cloud sandals?
After a month with mine I'm not loving the noisy sandal but I do love how comfortable they are.
They were waiting for me when I got home and I LOVE THEM! They are SO comfortable!
I tried Superga sneakers but I have a wide forefoot and they hurt my feet , bummer.
There’s an AWAY flagship store in NoHo on Bond and Lafayette - come visit!!

Nothing wrong with that!!
If you haven’t already left for your trip...You’re going to the OC - Tory Burch all the way 😊
I was born there and we go for the beach and the tacos.😂❤️
😆 the beach and tacos sounds like the perfect itinerary - have a great getaway!
Where did you find the bag holder you used to secure your tori bag?
I put a similar item in the description box the one I have is no longer sold.

I 1000% would put clothes into the Tory bag and then put it in my luggage. And then use the away bag through the airport.

Do you happen to have an AWAY promo code
Not even for myself! I think they aren’t do any right now.
Hi I will be traveling to Ohio. I'm an Indian and my daughters love indian snacks so do you think I can take them with me in my carryon. Pls advise
