How many hour did you revise daily during y11. What would you do when u came back from school? Review older content, learn ahead or go over what u did in class?
Roughly 2 hours a day! I'd do ANKI when I got back from school. I mostly just went through flashcards then made flashcards on older content which I hadn't yet done, or stuff we had just covered.
great vid! any advice for people going into year 11 in september im wondering if there’s anything i should do over the summer to prepare myself more :) thanks
icl i got 5 9s and the rest 8s and i pretty much revised all the content for every subject the day before the exam and in the morning of the exam i did a couple past papers thats literally it lmao
@@Revenx2 No , it is very concise and just everything you need to know! ( if you want concise videos for English, Geography , or Rs I also make YT videos on my channel that's worth checking out!)
I started revising a few weeks into Year 11 - my mocks were in December so I fully began focusing in October! I took a little break over winter, then the full grind began soon after!
@@gcsepotential Oh why? I have heard that state schools kids may get made fun off. But I also heard that with 100% bursaries, it’s rlly good for state school kids too, so idk what to do. What do you think?
Hiiii! so i just have a question. I'm in a bit of a predicament rn because I've heard so much about anki but I'm scared to use it for many reasons such as 1) I've already got quite a lot of notes for example, bio, chem and physics and would it be a waste of time to redo all those notes puttin them onto Anki when I could be focusing on other things instead? Especially because I am so close to starting y11 and I want to be making notes on things I have barely any notes on as well as on the lessons from the day. And 2) I have this fear that by not having a tangible revision source like paper flashcards, if I make Anki flashcards what if I lose them all because of something like my laptop crashing in the future or idk 😂 And finally what do you do if you feel like the revision your doing isn't helping you. That may sound stupid but whenever I start revising something tells me whatver I'm doing is not gonna help me and then i feel like shit and dont want to revise? Any tips on getting over them negative thoughts. I'm sorry about the essay lmao, but thanks fora rlly informative video :)
1. Notes are a waste of time imo - studies have proven that rereading notes is ineffective! 2. ANKI sync allows online copies to be stored so, if ur laptop fails, you can still access the cards from the online copy 3. I initially just kept searching for a method then, once found, i stuck with it! Therefore I always felt like i was doing something.
@@gcsepotential do I still have time to fill in knowledge gaps like some topics and still get a 8/9 if I start filling in those gaps and start revising everything from now? I'm going into year 11 after summer

Do past papers and mark them yourself then study the topics that you are weaker at.

Walking mark schemes 💀

Dangerous strategy don't give all these ppl excuses to be lazy and not revise cuz that is not going to work for 99% of people
