Great video!! I've been using a paper flashcard system with a Leitner Box to help me memorise Mandarin Chinese. I chose paper over Anki because it's the only chance I get to write in Chinese! I use pictures which I draw by hand and I make pairs of flashcards, one with the new word and one with the word in context. This process is slower thank using Anki for sure, but it does help fire up the neurons and because I chose and drew the pictures, it is easy for me to remember the words. That said, I would probably use Anki if I were revising for GCSE (I'm a bit old for that!). Loved the detail you went into about the neurons and how they need to fire up. That's why the pictures are so important, you are using as many neurons as possible. This is truly a brilliant video to help kids deal with exams. I've already shared with my nephew who has his GCSE next summer. Thansk so much for posting this! ❤
I can't wait for the next video, I remember rewriting massive paras on physical flashcards and typing long answers on Anki (so I gave up with flash cards 😅) hopefully your next video will help me and your followers/fans/potentials/fandom :)
Do you have any tips for catching up with my anki cards? I’ve tried doing them frequently everyday but ive left it so late so it takes me like 1 and a half hours to do like review like 70 cards
Yo bro I've been revising non stop for maths and the other subjects however im not getting great marks can you tell me how to revsie effectively im doing gcses in 6 months
hi sorry i just made the switch from anki to quizlet today (it took a few hours importing even with the quick links 😭) but my question is that which flashcard type on anki do you recommend e.g. type answer or just the basic
@@gcsepotential What? Even for every subject , say for example I have cards for Science , Geography , English Quotes (list goes on) - u expect me to go through all of them everyday - nah thats impossible. Plus , it really depends on the length and complexity of your cards and how many cards you have in each deck.
@@ssq_skullz7120 Not all of them lol - ANKI uses an algorithm to designate a certain number of flashcards to you each day. I won't be that many and I only needed about 20mins each morning to go through them.
I didn't know you could get pre-made flashcards, thanks. It has made my life so much easier.
This pops up in my recommended im getting ptsd from exam season. U the only reason i pass business if i do, love bro
Thanks bro I appreciate that and I'm sure you will - lemme know on results day!
I'm as old as your Dad and learning French, so a big thanks young man.

Hey! I heard about the anki hype, but I never understood it. Now I understand it - thanks for the video, I'll definitely use anki for a levels :)
100% Anki is going to be insanely useful for sixth form!
For anki, how can you paste an image for both the question and answer, e.g. if I wanted to copy pmt flash cards both the question and answer

Thankyou so much also how much time should you spend on anki like everyday?
Also will your flashcards be for free?
I used to do 2 hours a day just before exams! I'm still deciding on how to release my flashcards - I'll let you know after deciding!
@@gcsepotential pls quickly
How do you shuffle flashcards on Anki?
I try to copy and paste but it doesn't work what do I do?
How do you download anki on chrome book?
I often struggle on when to use Anki , and How often I should use it?
Andy advice for that please?
ideally, everyday! you can take a few days off of course. It only takes like 10 minutes a day to go over cards though so everyday is reasonable!

One question: since Anki is for Memorisation, how would you end up understanding content in the long term?
You've gotta understand the content, then memorise it so make flashcards after understanding the content!
@@gcsepotential what's the best way to go about understanding content, if you are learning something new?
@@tate_tutor UA-cam videos! I've explained it all in the video's description
@@gcsepotential aight thanks
@@gcsepotential couldn't you start with a textbook first, then a video? Or would you prefer videos then textbooks?
I love you
Is it alright if I make the flashcards this summer and like early yr11 and still be able to get 9s?
