@@DJaySplitSecond I heard Flos recordings, they were basic. I'm sorry. Her voice was basic. Nothing flashy about it. Diana's Voice had color. I don't get this narrative that she was this powerhouse singer. I feel like people are giving her more credit because her story is sad. But I gotta call a thing a thing.
I've gotta say that Eddie Kendricks had the most beautiful voice I've ever heard . When he was in his prime like here, everything came out effortlessly.
@@jaylene.turner6524 big facts! People don’t realize how all of them really could sing. If you ask me, Otis was the voice that blended those distinctive voices together.
Barry Gordy shot the tempts to new heights with the recording of the mellow mood album he showed the industry the tempts versatility and man they tore it up by doing these Broadway standards
I give it to Berry he understood what needed to be done at the time. Cause the temptations weren't too happy with this album. Especially Paul and David. Back then Broadway was seen as White. It wasn't as multi cultural as it is now. It definitely made the industry take them more serious. The temps could sure sing anything
No disrespect to any other vocal group, which there's a plethora of them from all the different era's, but these dudes right here. Do y'all hear them? @markwilliams352 Thanks for the info. I love The Temptations So. I listen to them all the time and never get tired of listening to them. Wish and hope they got all the group deserve. For me they were The World's Greatest
So back in the day, white folks said that blacks couldn't harmonize and the Tempts proved them wrong. Of course my older sister and brother explained it to us, but I loved the way David Ruffin flowed back into the group, and it took many years later to actually see it again, thanks to UA-cam.
White folks said a lot of hateful and asinine things about black people but I never heard any say that. Even the most ignorant, braindead bigots from my white neighborhood knew that black singers were above and beyond white.
you are sounding as bad as the people you’re admonishing now- if someone can sing including harmony it doesn’t matter what color they are and no one has a lock on certain qualities because of it cmon
The fact that they are singing these songs shows their versatility. That is what made them so special and unique. This talent of these men has not been seen in a long time.
These brothers were way ahead of thier time! The best Soul R&B group ever! No other group can be compared!!!
I agree with you totally 💯 I can't stand those new temptations
Nothing, but truth
I think they were the best as well but I do think The Supremes merit comparison.
